Such a soothing story, very eye pleasing and comforting. To all the haters of Ren jialun stfu. He doesn't need kiss scenes to show his love. Ep 13 says it all. Those eyes alone shows his longing for her. I think the dramas he chooses mostly does not need those kiss scenes. They are more of innocent and pure sort of love stories. He plays mostly noble and reserved characters. Guyz who are thinking of whether to watch this drama or not, definitely choose to watch it. I think the people behind this are geniuses. I mean it's really tough these days to find a drama which keeps us interested without constant conflicts. Even the most popular dramas out there will run just based on those conflicts coming one after another that it's really tough to find a straight couple of episodes without conflict or angst and to make a drama like this which goes at a same level of pacing and still it won't make you feel bored is really amazing.

I guess he really admired her and respected her. But i think the saintess loved him. In ep 12 he told her about love between man and woman and giving up life for one another. I think she took it to heart and really gave up her life to protect Lu yan. He might be thinking that she did so to end the war but he didn't know that she loved him.

Episodes 10 to 15 really captured the ML's struggle. Those episodes were really good and realistic. They raised my expectations for the next episodes but they dragged the ML's issue too much and even didn't close it properly. The bromance was very good. Give this a try guyz if u want to watch something with no angst but don't keep your expectations high. A one time watch feel good drama.

Lol replying after a year seems pretty bad. You might have had already watched the remake by now. If not the remake didn't follow the original one. The ending is different. The actors seemed good but they changed the story. Maybe they should have followed the original. I think they didn't want it to have a harem ending and that decision made them to change the entire story which turned to be not so great.

Why so much hate? I liked it. First of all one shouldn't have such high expectations over mini dramas. They make use of their limited budgets. Don't complain about the ending as i definitely think that season 2 will come out. Maybe ML is a lost prince or something. So, they took him back to the palace. We can clearly see a guard or someone following him in the last 2 episodes.

Basically every popular historical drama out there has this setting. LAR, EL, ELOD, LAD, WRTW, listening snow tower, The legends etc. Maybe you have watched all of these.

I don't understand why so many people here are saying it's dragging. This pacing is pretty common for 16 episode k drama. If you find this a drag then you haven't watched enough k dramas. This one is a lot better when compared to others. Most dramas lose their essence after the leads fall in love which usually happens around 8th or 9th episode in k dramas. But the mystery build up in this drama is actually nice. There was this suspence in the air since episode 1 and to maintain that till now(episode 14) says a lot about the quality in writing. Didn't have much expectations going into this one but I am glad i started watching it. No toxicity or angst and that alone is enough for anyone to start watching this. Recent k dramas haven't been much of a crowd pullers but i hope you give this a try. Start with low expectations to enjoy this more.

Totally unrelated but hey glad to know. Sorry peeps for using this section for this drama unrelated message. Yeah I am surprised. Not so often I come across someone using this name. I started using it a long back mainly for game accounts. It's tough to always come up with a new name when starting a new game and most names are in use. So, I started using this name for every game.

Definitely looking forward to it just for Seo in guk. Regardless of the drama's popularity he's in, one thing that's constant with him is, the characters he plays are always awesome. For me I consider his acting in The smile has left your eyes as the best. Hope with this drama he will best that.

Thank you. Been searching for a good one. Found one c drama " Love the way you are(2022)". Only watched till ep 7 for now but definitely felt like a mature story for a c drama. Seems like it is a remake of k drama something in the rain but with better execution. Never thought that i would be watching a remake but it's one of those days. Hoping the remaining episodes would turn out to be good. Coz if this one don't end properly i will be taking a break from watching.

Why do i feel like much better C dramas and k dramas came out during covid time when compared to now? I am very much disappointed by the dramas that are coming out lately for which i had huge expections. I mean what the heck happened to writes. K dramas are expected to be better than this. Only average ones are coming out now. Get a grip directors. Hoping to see a good one really soon.

Definitely agree with you they create 2ML character in such a way that they obviously want you to have a second lead syndrome which creates debates between fans and more traffic for the drama. I think that's the main reason for the love traingle so that people talk more about it even if the rest of the plot falls flat. It's basically a fail safe mechanism for the drama to get talked even if the overall drama performance was sub par.

An important lesson to take from this is wait for the entire episodes of the drama to air then binge watch it rather than putting lots of hours investing into it and getting disappointed in the end.

It's common for a love triangle to exist in a k drama but i don't know what to say about the one in this drama. The lowest rating of a k drama in recent times. It's high time to put an end to adding love traingle in k dramas just for the sake of it. I am in for it if it's portrayed nicely but nah it looks like they won't be making a drama without those. Sometimes i really wonder whether there are way too many less females for all the males in the dramas fawning over them. In some dramas there were even 3 to 4 guyz falling in love with the same girl. I mean what planet those guyz exist on lol. It's like they were left alone on earth with only that girl.

I see a lot are wishing for NTN to survive but i wish that the character shud be killed. It's a dark themed drama and not every character gets a happy ending and if it happens too it will spoil the drama. NTN's final redemption will only happen with his death. No hard feelings guyz, I too wish him alive only if the drama was light hearted.

Hey Romance lovers out there don't skip this drama just because u can't find a romance tag. The director is bringing out all the potential of LJG as an actor here. Of all the dramas he acted in till now u will find him more charming in this and most characters in this drama knows themselves too that Hee woo is such a cool guy and everyone finds him mesmerizing. Lately A listers of k drama are playing cool MC roles Song Joong Ki in vincenzo, Ji Sung in devil judge and LJG in here. I find this as a refreshing change as to where usually we find K dramas to be too romance centered or plot driven. This way the MC will be having depth, more screentime for MC, we will get to see the full potential of our fav stars and very less time spent on side characters which i usually find boring .

Yeah. We often see the FL often getting sorrounded by guyz in k drama. I am very happy that lee joong gi is playing such a cool character and the way he brushes off sang man regarding the questions related to his relationship with the girls is pretty cool.
