Yes agree! Totally imbalanced. She didn’t have a title and was leading army, while he was the commander and…
If they want this to be female-centric, then they should have named it similar to those female empowerment dramas that have "THE LEGEND OF..." in their title, where the ML just plays a supporting character. If they had named it like that, I wouldn't have expected much. Didn't they promote this drama otherwise? All the promotional content they had released so far suggests that it's a general ML-FL balanced drama. It started off like that as well. Why change it in the middle? I feel betrayed after investing so much into their dynamic. The way these guys elevated the director to the next level... omg, I am so pissed.

Title Pursuit of Jade Spoiler
I thought it was weird how everyone is encouraging her to go into battle and join the war. That seemed propaganda-ish…
Def. It even felt weird coming from her adoptive father. No father wants their kid to go to war. Her decision was to go back to her village and rebuild it. Latet on once war ends ML will take leave from his duties to join her. I thought that they mutually made that decision. I thought that we are done with that. Then all of a sudden, she is going to war. She wants to save her friend. OMG she wants to do so many things. Kudos to the ML for keeping up with her. Her mind keeps on changing. Girl, make up your mind. At this point I think it's better they shift their priorities. ML should go back to that village and start rebuilding while taking care of the kids both Ning'er and Boa'er while FL should take care of the wars and etc....

And too much plot amor lol. Why all off a sudden she became a seasoned war campaigner. The way she offed that general and prince changxin like they were nothing all the while she had no battle exp. The plot armor they gave her was just thst she was strong and she learnt some spear techniques from her father. At this point I feel like she is more stronger than Marquis. And by the way she is leading the army. ML is just a commander under her.

I last watch episode 9, waiting for the rest of the episodes. Now this comment is making me reconsider if I should…
I recommend you to watch it and decide for youself. These are just my feelings. I hoped that after their seperation their relationship would evolve to next level like how it happens usually. Like better understanding of each other. But here it's mostly ML making efforts understanding her and her decisions. Maybe I expected too much. They were seperated for so long and I expected a lot after their reunion. So, I blame myself gor expecting too much

I really enjoyed how FYX and FSG from fated hearts started off as enemies but gradually came to understand each other and that progression felt natural and blissful to watch. But in this drama, XZ and FCY began strong in the village, and as the episodes went on, it often felt like XZ was the one constantly making the effort. Whenever FCY suddenly made up her mind, it was XZ who had to bend and understand her.

I get her desire to stand on her own, but the last few episodes leaned too heavily into feminist propaganda. Accepting help from the ML doesn’t diminish her stature, it’s part of partnership. She went off to rescue everyone alone, but if not for the ML’s secret soldiers protecting her behind the scenes, she would have been done for. That makes her character feel inconsistent. She resents others deciding for her, yet she freely decides for others.

The moment she drugged the ML and went to battle in his place was infuriating. What if something had gone wrong? And knocking out that Li guy in the battle today again, her intentions were to protect lives, but the double standards are glaring.

Her arc lost balance. Instead of showing strength through cooperation, it became about sidelining the ML and forcing her independence in ways that felt forced. That inconsistency is what's really bothering me.

Guyz, I know many of us are disappointed on not seeing ML much but plz be patient. Many are frustrated with the screen time of second leads. Drama kinda became predictable in the last few episodes. Scenes didn't feel as powerful as they were in earlier episodes. These things are common in dramas like these especially the ones with so many episodes. It's just a phase. It will start picking up. It will be worth the wait. After the reunion of the leads, things will change. This is kind of good tho. Since they didn't end this last ep on a heavy cliff hanger, I can just give it a rest until some eps drop by as I can't with 1 ep/day schedule.

I expected more. It didn't feel savage at all.

To each their own and respect to each opinion and trust me I Love This drama but the last 4 episodes were boring…
I actually hoped for a better reunion btw changning and her jiefu. They didn't have many scenes together even after the reunion. I could just a whole ep with just them hanging out. I know these fillins are necessary to drive the story forward but I get your point. Yes, last 4 to 5 episodes are more focussed on second leads. These things are pretty common in long dramas like these.

PR exists. Most actors make use of it to hype up their dramas, especially the characters they play. You’ll find random appreciation posts from different channels, whether on Weibo or other SM. It exists, and it’s not bad. In fact, it often lands them more roles, since more people get to know them and watch their work. It’s not bad, you need it to progress further in your career. Sometimes the agency they’re under highlights them, and sometimes they hire a team themselves to promote. If you’re not doing it for yourself, then who will? At the end of the day, your work speaks for itself. If you’re a good actor, you survive; if not, your hype will be short-lived. PR can only give you that instant push, but sustaining it comes down to how good you truly are as an actor.

Just want to say this. Those of you who are romanticizing that bath scene with Qimin and QQ and calling it hot.…
There were a ton of comments here when ML force kissed the FL. People were not ready for it. Until then he was such a green flag, so they were kind of shocked when he did that. I get the hypocrisy part tho. It's there. It's kind of frustrating. There are a lot viewers who hate watch and spam the comment section jus coz the main leads are not played by the actors they like.

I did see people talking about the coin scene when the ep was released and now the lastest ep released is mostly…
People can talk about their performance...nothing wrong with that. But hyping up that bath scene like ‘my Snowking is hot asf,’ raving about the chemistry, the sexiness, the hotness, and all that nonsense, is absurd. Guys, that’s not a romantic scene. In the context of the story, it’s tragic, it’s heavy, it’s meant to break you, not make you swoon. Reducing it to thirst-posting completely strips away the sadness and the weight it carries.

I thought I was the only one with a soft heart towards male leads.
I usually end up supporting the male lead because dramas are written to make them the strongest, most devoted character. Once they fall for the female lead, she becomes their whole world. They’ll sacrifice everything for her. So it feels natural to root for them. It’s not about the actor playing the role. If the casting were switched, like Qi Min played by Ling He and the male lead by Deng Kai, I’d support Deng Kai because of how the character is written.

I’m glad you understood. If the actors playing the characters were reversed, with Qi Min played by Ling He and the male lead by Deng Kai, I would have supported Deng Kai

~I'm biased toward the ML.~~People should just watch the drama for what it is and not pick a bias because they…
OFC I will be biased towards the ML of the drama coz they are written in such a way that they are like the best character in the drama. I didn't say I am biased towards the actor playing it. Of all the dramas I have watched so far, there are only like a very few dramas where ML is wired different. So, is it wrong to side with the best person in the drama? How many times have you seen an ML having second thoughts about FL? Once they fall for FL, she is their world. How many times have we seen ML giving up everything, throwing up tons of blood for them? So, why can't I be biased towards them. I don't know what's confusing you??? I never told I am biased towards a ML coz of an actor playing them.
On Pursuit of Jade 29 days ago
Just my opinion.

I’m very biased toward male leads. So much so that I’ll always be on the ML’s side, even if the actor is unknown, and even if his love rival is played by an actor I really like. That’s why I hate it when people simp over characters just because they’re played by their favorite actors, defending them no matter how evil their deeds are. You should watch the series for what it is. It doesn’t matter who your favorite actor is. Once they’re playing a character in a drama, you should see them as that character. If you’re still seeing your favorite actor instead of the role, there are only two possibilities: either the actor isn’t performing well, or you’re just being blind.

The Legend of Shen Li ?
Legend of Shen Li is too FL coded unlike in LAR where the FL & ML were balanced perfectly.
