My boy Gyehoon knows how to deal with cliché obligatory break up very well!
I feel these scenes between these two, though cliched, feel so natural. Like this type of shit would go down in RL. As opposed to some of the cliche love lines in other series. This one feels very real.

Just drop it then
Okay, then let's discuss.

you said 'For a bigger part of the episode, everyone is talking about the stalker's death.'

True, they needed to get that out of their system as this character was the reason a lot of these characters were in each other's way most of the time. They had to come to terms with it and talk about it. Hell, even try to see if anyone, given the past circumstances, had actually committed the crime which ... I found it amusing that most of them were willing to go to hell for. lol. I loved that to be honest.

You also said, 'JWT beats the officer'

I couldn't have been more happier... FUCK THA POLICE! lol. Though that would count as Cop on Cop crime, no? *still laughing about it*. In a slightly more serious note, I would have beaten the shit out of this asshole for blaming my family member whom I feel I owe a shit ton to in terms of apologies to, of MURDER... and with no evidence... AGAIN. Like... Something's gotta give, and given WonTak's character, he definitely was going to do something like this eventually. The writer had been hinting at it for ages. [throughout the other episodes]

You also said, 'For the rest of the episode the villagers act suspicious and we already know that.' ...

That's what makes them amusing to me, personally. And the fact that MORE was revealed about some of them considering that suspicious attitude of theirs was even MORE amusing. Like... damn... This town has secrets. Way too many. And that's fun. Well, personally I think it's fun. Clearly you don't.

In the next paragraph you said that there was no character development, that there was no fun romance, that there was just nothing there that made you want to keep watching. And yet, you get a bit miffed when someone just tells you a quick solution. Just don't keep watching it. If it's boring you so much then drop it. However, I'm not going to tell you that. I am going to take you back to the teasers for this drama. While they sold it to you as a romance.... A fun? Romance, as you wanted it, I don't understand which part of throwing murder into a romantic comedy-ish type thing was not clear?

Where did it say it was strictly supposed to be romance when we also had posters with crazy clues as to there being crazy murder about to happen? I guess you don't like that type of genre mixing, but I think it's amusing and challenging. Kudos to the writer for trying.

There has been a lot of things happening in this series. A lot of things being revealed, a lot of stuff being moved by those so called 'useless episodes that should have just stayed at 13, instead of 16.' ... A lot of things have been learned about the characters and why they act the way they do, the things they do. I am especially amazed that the writer gave not only the FL and ML some kind of past that made them who they are NOW, but also other characters like even the stalker.

I also like how the writer made the stalker into the biggest loser available to humanity. Which is the way it should be. Why did he turn out that way? We'll never know. The writer only had 16 episodes to work with, and a very impatient audience to entertain, obviously.

That's my opinion, however. And I opposed you a bit, but hey, you said let's have discussions, instead of people just telling you to drop the drama if you don't like it.

I just finished beyond evil and yeo jingoo’s so hot in it. Why are they making him wearing these baggy pants…
I think the deal is character design. I feel that JooWon is from a very posh background, even before he became a cop, while Gyehoon is , yes a famous chef, but I feel he's more normal. They were going for normal in his design, and that's probably the style that some men are adapting currently in South Korea. The little bowl cut with the baggy clothes. ... Unless of course you're a celebrity and known for your crazy looks. I feel Yeo Jin Goo on his own is very fashionable. He likes experimenting with his looks in everything he's in. Hell, even in regular reality tv shows he sometimes pulls off unconventional looks. As opposed to this drama[LINK], where everyone is painfully normal, and it fits their character designs. .... i could write essays about this whole character design and the fashions they chose, but I'll leave it at... I like Gyehoon's baggy looking clothes. it makes him look huggable, kissable, and like I want to just hug him and cuddle him all day and feed him cookies or cupcakes. While Han Joo Won looks to me like he'd sneer at me if I tried, or worse case scenario, arrest the shit out of me and put me in jail. XDDDD

I don't think there's anything wrong with this drama's pacing. I think it's more about the attention span of people…
Most correct observation I have seen... on the internet... IN YEARS. lol. yeah, people nowadays have the attention spans of gold fish. Can't blame them for thinking that a realistically paced series [and that's realisitc-ish, cause I insist in real life, these situations would drag even longer!] is ToO SloW. ... yeah... They're used to Tiki-ti-Toki-ti type shit. *shrugs* however, this series is still great, and I'm still waiting for the last three episodes to reveal a lot more than they already have!

You have an interesting point of view.

I haven't taken the time to finally hyper focus on something in my life and be all over it like... well like a crazy fangirl. However, I will take the time to tell you why I gave this awesome and very well written series its first FIVE points off.

While I find the entire pace and flow of this series to be very good, and very realistic [which I see is a problem for some people commenting on here], I can't help but be STRESSED THE FUCK OUT, by how Miss Dahyun, our female lead is so.... so...

She is so often unconcerned for her safety. Don't get me started with the ML too, but I'm more concerned for Miss Dahyun. I am especially concerned because she had a whole ass stalker on her, and she was still going out there INVESTIGATING SHIT on her own and trying to find out the truth. LISTEN, while I get it, I get that you want to satisfy your own curiosity and you want to remember things.... CHILD, do it in the morning or some shit. You were doing so, while taking morning jogs and such. Like, at least in the mornings you can still see if some bitch or some asshole are gonna come up to you and try to kill you, but during the NIGHT!?

SMH....

Whatever the case, I'm still very excited about this series. It's the fact that it's not revealing a lot too fast, and pacing everything slowly that makes me even MORE curious as to what's next. And I agree with the people that don't think that episodes are *insert that word here*filler*insert that word here*. Ya'll really think life is that fast? This writing is trying to imitate the mundane, not the fantastic. While I get it that the whole LINK phenomenon has been a little lost cause all I'm interested in now is finding out what exactly went down 18 years ago, it's still very very realistically paced and inclined, and I love it for that.

If these kinds of series are not your cup of tea, then ... You shouldn't watch them.

I saw a lot of this type of discourse with 'Beyond Evil' which is also one of my faves, and erm, some people really went out of their way to state how boring it was. I get you might think you lost your time, but like I said, you should have dropped it when you thought it wasn't going to suit your tastes.

There have been series I have stuck with because I was doing bonding time with my mother and watching the series with her, and had to complete it. However, I will tell you, some of the most 'popular' shit in South Korea, definitely was not my cup of tea. I regret watching those series and giving my time to them.

This series however, is not a waste of my time. I will probably do a re-watch and rejoice when I see something I didn't see the first time around.

That's my take, and I'm sticking to it.

Sincerely,
B.Rivera

i know he was a kid but to do that for some console and its games?he surely was messed up since childhood
While I'm not trying to justify him and I believe he got what he deserved, it's kind of sad to see children acting this unhinged since this early in their life, no? It's kind of sad, but also terrifying. Just how all psychos start their journeys. Some psychos in some movies I've seen start by killing small animals mercilessly, eventually moving on to other kids. This kid went a whole other route selling other children for... video games. Yikes.

Wow, almost 20k watchers for a drama on a streaming platform that's not even widely available. Yay Link!! Eat,…
Sure it's available on Disney +, but ONLY in Asia! and in certain areas. Not even all of Asia.... Now I'm gonna sound like a damn advertisement, but if you can, get yourselves a VPN. That shit is good for this kind of trash that the distribution managers or the people who plan the PR for the series pull off. I'm still so annoyed at that. How can they limit the release of a series they want for to succeed? Also, don't even get me started on how it's showing in South Korea. Like ... MONDAY TUESDAY at 10:30 p.m. ? Like... That's like bed time for a lot of hard working people in SK, and even students at that time are probably busy studying and just BEING BUSY. like... hello? Who planned this? lol. 🤦🏽

P.S. VPN is also good if you're gonna go down the fansite/sub route.

Feels like I'm one of the few ones still enjoying the drama and loving every bit of it?? At least that's what…
You're not the only one! As a matter of fact, I'm still in love with it and how it really does pay attention to all its characters, However, I did give it its first few points off [these last two episodes] with how Dahyun is so disregarding of her safety! While I get it that she's worry free and ...... adventurous? lol. never looking back and shit, it's still so stressful for me to see her go out AT NIGHT trying to figure out things on her own. Like... CHILD! Get your ass back inside your house! Do the investigating thing in the morning. At least then you'll have more chance to see if some asshole is coming after you... omfg... Either way, I'm looking forward to see how it unfolds during the last four episodes.

I know Dahyun and Gyehoon are cute together but this drama's main ship is Lee Jingeun x That fridge
... My goodness. I love this comment. Should I feel bad that I do? lolololol.

Is he sister alive or not
It would take genius writing to make Gyehoon's sister be alive... However, I don't think it would be impossible, given the track record or some of these amazing writers in some of these series.

the most heartbreaking thing in this drama is how gyehoon's family has treated him after gyeyoung went missing.…
This right here is the heart of this series. The fact that little children had to go through hell and the some adults around them just took it personal and blamed them instead. It's heartbreaking, but insanely realistic.

Just a thought , definitely not trying to blame Noh DaHyun. If she had not fainted and her memories were still…
While I get your point, sometimes it's hard for children to bring up or remember trauma. Let's not forget these were children, complete at that point innocent children who should have been taken care of a little better by the adults around them. Also they all dealt with their trauma completely differently. While Gyehoon and Wontak remembered EVERYTHING [ and even confused some events], Dahyun decided that she wasn't going to remember it so she completely forgot it[or tried to]. And that's the beauty of this series, it lets us see how different people deal with trauma. Some people remember it for the rest of their lives, while some just completely erase it and don't let it dictate how it's going to affect their lives forever. That in mind, I could write you a whole essay on why I believe that Dahyun's trauma did subconsciously affect her. If you pay attention to her life BEFORE all the events unfold... You might think... the fuck? Why is she having such a hard time? .... yeah. I'll leave it at that.

Drop Your Theories about the killer, who it is....?Lets see who got it right ✌️...
I feel it's the dude that is one of the husbands of the ladies in the neighborhood, and Dahyun's mom and grandma were there and somehow were involved, but probably in a misunderstood way as it often happens in these series, and or .... I don't know honestly. That's what keeps me coming back. I want to know the mystery. And it's entertaining to watch everything that happens as it is revealed slowly.
