Title The Atypical Family Spoiler
Did anyone else feel the timing for the first kiss simply BAD?? Like, there was no reason for them to kiss at…
FL sprang a marriage license on Gwi-Joo. Now he's calling her bluff. She's trying to fast track the marriage and I don't think he's falling for it. They're not supposed to have any chemistry at this point in the show.

And Crazy Mom knows that people who know about their powers either run away or try to scam them. Since FL isn't running away, I think Mom, and Sister, and Ina and even Gwi-Joo know that FL's trying to pull something over on them.

OOOOO, thank you. I'll have to rewatch.

That was another thought I had, too. He needs to NOT go back to I-Na being born. He needs to jump to wherever FL is. If she's in the burning school, then he could save her, as opposed to having to run all the way from the hospital to the school. But then, why the yellow door in the hospital room if it's never going to work? I hope the writers clear this up. My mind is working overtime trying to figure this out.

Title The Atypical Family Spoiler
Technically with the a side character (there's a little bit of a catch to it though) but not with main couple
The purpose of Grace seducing Dong Hee's fiancé' is so Dong Hee won't marry before Gwi-Joo. Whoever marries first gets the building, the only asset the Bok family have. So Dong Hee's marriage needed to be trashed so that FL can marry Gwi-Joo and get the building.

I feel Ina could've easily said she was unsure about how she felt about Joon Woo, as she's not use to being around…
I-na read her "friend's" mind, and doesn't want to get bullied for liking the same boy, so she's trying to fend off her new friend's worries. "He's a jerk," wouldn't have been my first choice to say. "I don't have a crush on him. He's just a friend, " might have been better. But she is 13 and not experienced with how to interact well with people.

You're right about the episode 2 flashback. But the episode 4 flashback feels like it was suggested by Scammer Mom to tell to Gwi-Joo, so I'm not sure it's a flashback, so much as a "Here's our story and we're sticking to it."

The reason I think she is NOT in the school when it was burning, is because Gwi-Joo has repeatedly gone back to that school over and over again, and tried all the different ways to get into the building, and he can't get in. There's no colored door in the school. She might be a student in that school, but I think she's not in the building.

Then again, someone in an earlier episode said, "There's someone still on the 5th floor," right before the head firefighter tries to go back in. My first thought was that it was the FL. But again, Gwi-Joo hasn't found a colored door to get into the building before it blows up, so there's something else we haven't been shown.

Title The Atypical Family Spoiler
4 episodes in and I have thoughts.
1. The Atypical Family could also refer to the scammers. They're not related, but act like a family.

2. The scammers strike me as Robin Hood and his Merry Outlaws. They steal from the rich and give to the poor (themselves). They haven't physically hurt anyone. Even scary uncle hasn't hurt anyone and has pretended to be beat up by Gwi-Joo.

3. It seems to me like both of the FL's marriages were also scams set up by Scammer Mom to make money for FL to pay back her father's debts. FL told each man the same story, "You look like the man who saved me when I was younger." But they are all crap men, and she took them for money in the divorces. I suspect this is where the "acting" comes in. FL is practiced in the "You look like the man," "Marry me, " "Divorce, and you owe me alimony out the wazoo." Again, steal from the mean rich to give to the poor me.

4. Gwi-Joo may actually be the man who really saved her. However, I think the "I was in the high school fire" is a lie created by Scammer Mom. I suspect that if Gwi-Joo slows down when running to the High School, he may find that a different house is on fire, and that it has a colored door, and that FL is behind it.

5. Every time someone says Do Da-Hae, I keep hearing Song Kang say Do Do-Hee from My Demon.

6. Teenage boy is getting tall and even more handsome. He will forever be Ki-Ho to me.

7. I-Na is my favorite character. I can't wait for her to blossom in confidence.

8. I think FL has a superpower that she is not aware of. How else is she changing the Bok family's superpowers so that those superpowers only concerns FL?

9. I am also terrified of gas grills and stoves. I act just like FL when trying to turn on or off a gas stove. I was once in a house where the gas heater caught fire while I was sleeping. Very traumatizing.

10. I see Flying Sister and Scammer Sister becoming besties. The marriage is off, so there's no more reason for Scammer Sister to torment Flying Sister, but to help her become healthier and more independent. Although Flying Sister seems to be able to do this on her own.

11. UPDATE: I went back and rewatched episodes 3 & 4. I think at some point, Gwi-Joo needs to make himself go back to Do Da-Hae on the 5th floor near the storage closet. Then he'll be right next to the colored door that will save Do Da-Hae, and he won't have to run for 10 minutes straight to get there late.

Title Eye Love You
It was explained at the beginning of ep 1 - their chocolate company is using some kind of scraps to make the chocolate,…
I remember that. But they're still putting those chocolates in fancy boxes that are going to be discarded. It seemed to me that making chocolate, even from cocoa scraps, wasn't exactly the best business to start for saving the environment. And the otter guy joining the company really made to sense to me.

Title Eye Love You
Cute premise, but doesn't seem to be going anywhere, and I'm only on episode 2 or 3.

Is it ever explained why Motomiya Yuri and Hanaoka Akito are into saving the environment at university, but somehow they start a company that makes chocolates?

Tae Oh is into saving otters, and somehow that translates into "I must work at a company that makes chocolates!" I just don't get the connection.

And where's the factory? We just see people at computers all day. Are there Oompa Loompa's in the back room making all these chocolates?
On Ripe for the Picking Apr 23, 2024
"Ripe for the Picking" is a TERRIBLE title for this show on Netflix. I did Google translate, and the Japanese title translates as "Break the Melon," which is hilarious and a bit more on the nose. I don't understand why Netflix didn't use that title, or use "Take my Cherry."

The title tells you nothing about this show. It actually made me think it was about an older woman with a much younger man. It is NOT. He's 29 and she's 32, so the age difference isn't weird.

This show is about a 32 year old virgin who wants to lose her virginity. She thinks everyone around her is having great sex except for her. But you find out her co-irkers stories, too, and they are not having the great sexual relationships she thinks they are having. This show has quite a refreshing, rather true to life, story about real relationships.

I'm enjoying the show. Although, at 20 minutes an episode, it goes by very fast.
On Parasyte: The Grey Apr 22, 2024
I enjoyed it. 6 episodes was enough though. I'm glad they didn't drag it out to 16 episodes. The action was hard to watch, because the CGI was a bit wonky. I would definitely watch a season 2 if they have one. But I think I enjoyed the original Japanese anime more, because it was funny, and being a cartoon, the gore wasn't so graphic.

I watched the Korean drama and wanted more so I watched this. Somehow I can't watch this the parasyte in his hand,…
Watch the anime version. It's quite funny, and the parasyte is not gross.

Now that it's over, I'm even more convinced that "THE SHOWER SCENE" was an afterthought. I bet the "My Demon" writers watched "Destined With You" and thought, "We have to add a shower scene to "My Demon" to top it. Let's face it, the scene has nothing to do with the plot, and could have been added in anywhere.

Ah, ok. So this is like a soap opera.

Another finale thought.
How is it that Guwon self combusts and disappears after bringing DoHee back to life, but then manages to stalk her for a week? He even manages to change her cloths to PJs and put her to bed every night, so he's not a ghost. Then he comes back when she wishes it and just stands there instead of sweeping her into his arms immediately. Then he thanks Go-D for bringing him back. He never really left. He just disappeared while leaving Do-Hee with Evil Son who was going to pop back up alive again any minute.

I loved the show, but there were a lot of plot holes in the last episode that I would have liked explained better, or even just explained.

Title My Demon Spoiler
Gu Won knocks out Villain with a stone slab to the chest.Gu Won and Do Hee cuddle WHILE TURNING THEIR BACKS. Forgetting…
I happen to agree with this comment. This scene was bad. After Evil Son keeps reanimating after falling off a skyscraper, you don't turn your back on him. Demon blew Evil Son away twice during this scene, in addition to the giant chunk of concrete falling on him, and he still got up. You don't turn your back on that until you're sure you've killed him. I was expecting a better show down between these 3. I can't believe Guwon would reanimate DoHee knowing that he would die himself, because that leaves a now alive DoHee with Evil Son who will pop back up to life any minute. I was actually expecting to see that.

That said, I loved the entire show. Just not parts of it (Star Jin, cough cough).
