Episode 9. I have thoughts.

So many onions being cut at my house. I needed a whole box of tissues. I-NAAAAAAAAA!

To me, it looks like Gwi-Joo can't change the past or the change the timeline. Whatever happened in Da-Hae's past, he already did. So by the time he gets around in his timeline to go back, he can't change anything. He ends up doing what she experienced. And it's not that he doesn't have free will. He does have free will. It's just that for her, he's already done a certain thing, so he can't change what he did, but he's doing it for the first time.

It really drives home that ML can't really control his time travel. Whatever is in his mind is going to take over.

I think he goes back to save her so he's already done it. Just like when he gave her the flowers. She said he'd given her flowers. He ends up going back in time and swearing he's not going to give her flowers, but he did it, so he already did it in her past. It's the time loop paradox, there's no beginning where he didn't save her. He's always already done it in her time line.

Me, toooooo. That was so funny. And you could tell ML was actually happy, even though he said he wasn't, because he was able to go back to there.

But his colleague died the minute he entered the building and it collapsed. He had no time to get to the 5th floor and find the storage room.

Personally, I think it's the FL. The hair looks right. And they're holding something in their right hand (shadow hand on the left), which could be a towel. The shadow is made to look a bit like a man because it's tall, but so are the other shadows. Plus, the visible hand looks like a woman's hand. And I don't care that the FL is standing in front of the windows at the bottom of the poster. The shadows don't match up to the people in the windows, so why should it matter if her body isn't physically shown in the window exactly like the shadow. Nobody else's is.

I loved that the shopping bag with the gift for FL's new scam blind date's daughter is from a shop called The Golden Goose. Nice touch. I thought there would be more to it than that, but it was just a little touch.

True, but that would mean he was pushed back 2-4 years in school. He doesn't seem that dumb. Unless he's really not in their class, but in a higher class, but why would he hang out with younger kids? That's not really a thing kids do. I guess we'll find out.

I'm not feeling evil from scary uncle or scammer sister. I'm feeling that they owe scammer mom, just like FL does. They're just more into following scary mom's orders.

I'm flip flopping on Granddad. At first I thought he was just out there having fun dancing. But when his dance partner didn't admit they were just friends when her husband showed up, makes me wonder. Why would Granddad be paying off her husband if nothing was really going on? Yeah, I don't know.

But Joon Woo is the same age as I-na. They're in the same class. I-na was born on the day Chief Jung died, so his toddler son was already a few years old.

True, true.

Hahahahah! I laughed out loud at that part. Especially since the bubbles all blew the wrong way.

1. Scary Uncle is the sweetest teddy bear ever. Blowing bubbles. Making a romantic picnic. Head on ML's shoulder on the bus. Playing games with I-na and losing badly because she's using her super power to cheat. Scaring off I-na's bullies. I think that's the scariest thing he's done in this show.

2. OK, so Granddad IS having an affair. I don't blame him.

2.b. UPDATE: On second thought, I think Granddad was only in it for the dancing. Since his dance partner did NOT tell her husband they were just buddies, I think the husband and wife / dancer are a con team, too. What if that husband is the former partner who screwed over Scary Mom? Would Scary Mom side with the Bok's to take down her former partner?

3. Finally, the Precious (ring) history we all theorized about is true. ML gave the ring to FL when he saved her. Now we just need to find out about the scar or tattoo on FL's savior's neck.

4. When Dong Hee found the Precious in FL's luggage, why didn't ANYONE from the Bok family check the vault? That would have been the first thing I would have done.

5. Looks like Dong Hee and Scammer Sister are going to end up best buddies. I like it.

6. Looks like these two families are going to end up becoming one family. Will they share the wealth. Or will Scammer Mom end up in jail or dead?

7. I gotta mention the bubbles again. And I love how they all blew the wrong way. I totally cracked up at the bubbles.

Episode 8 and I have thoughts.

In episode 7, I loved how scammer mom went to crack the egg on I-na's head, like she wanted to slap the kid upside the head. But then she backed off and cracked the egg on her own head.

Also, are those tea eggs or broth eggs? The white part of the egg was brown after peeling, which made me think the hard boiled eggs had been braised for hours in either tea or soy sauce or broth. I've come across recipes for those in Chinese and Mediterranean cookbooks, but I didn't know if either version was a Korean food, too.
