They literally showed seung joo in his school uniform in the house in the first flashback when Isoo was coming down the stairs and passed Seung joo lol

i’ve only saw the Chinese adaptation, which is 30 episodes long but its good. I feel like it’s worth the watch so you can understand the characters more and see why they did what they did. They changed it a lot lol. There’s no 5 physicists at all. They’re supposed to represent the main character in the book/drama wang who is a physicist . And in the drama wang Miao had a lot of character development so he was easy to empathize what he was going through unlike the other five characters in the Netflix series. But also, it has been said that Wang Miao was two dimensional in the book liked his character lacked something so lol I don’t know if that has anything to do with it.

Yea I read all 5 of the Oxford 5 is supposed to represent Wang Miao, I see what they were trying to do with it especially sending Will’s brain into space thing and saul as the wallfacer, especially for ppl who don’t know anything about 3 body but for the ppl who have read the books or see the Chinese adaption I’m pretty sure it fell flat

It becomes un-boring? If I didn’t know what to expect I’d probably say it was thrilling and fascinating. The OG version is still better in my opinion

Made it to episode 5. They basically put together all the major plot points in the 30 episodes in to 5 episodes. Ep 6-8 is showing what the Chinese adaptation didn’t show after wang Miao and shi quiang looked up at the sky (you are bugs). So theres really no character development and you get no chance to empathize with the characters like the Chinese adaption. And depending on what kind of viewer you are, it might be a good or bad thing. I’m not mad at this version though. It’s doing its job in the Netflix way you expect.

Also the judgement day scene in the canal is 100x worse. Very sick 🥴

For anyone that’s curious I’m 30 mins in to the first ep of the Netflix adaptation and I’m already bored 🥱. I don’t know if it’s because I already know what’s going to happen. Or because it’s westernized the characters. OR because it’s fast tracked a lot in the first 30 mins that we had to wait for in the first 4-5 episodes in the Chinese adaptation.

So so so so gooooood!
