The story is about letting go the past (in this case hatred, ego and yes his dreams too) due to external things/betrayal/fate (bicha poison/deathly illness), not as losing our job which is mostly our fault and recoverable.
He faced two option, if he wanted to be back as lxy, he can do it. So that's also a different between broken dream and letting go dream.
He chose to restart a new life as a doctor who still helps people, not a beggar, that's very different too. Doctor is a positive profession. And now he live for himself not for the world anymore. Enjoying his new simple life. That's also a changing life pov which happens to a lot to us as we get older.
The life lessons for all of us is as we are getting older, we will understand that not all things can be achieved, goes as our plans or should be our burden as past trauma, hatred etc., there are some things that we have to let go... and sometimes things to restart too 😉
