This drama ratings is fair and well deserved. The majority of people who watched liked it, it's that simple. You don't have to like this drama like everyone else and that's ok. Don’t force yourself. 5 eps is not enough to judge, maybe you’re not enjoying the mortal arc which is still significant to understand the rest. Although I enjoyed it from the first minutes, The story really starts when they are back from mortal realms. I don't know where you saw Yang Zi here or are you on the wrong drama page because you’re watching something else? lmfaoooo.

Finally an modern drama that managed to pique my interest from the start! The story and the leads looks already so interesting. The first episodes were really great. I’m waiting for next ones ✌️

Exactly the humor seemed to make fun of XZ lying and pretending to be a fisherman. He wanted to pretend to be a longer-time fisherman with the extra "tanning". You could see other "tan" fisherman due to the activity w less well but it was the makeup or I don't know what they put on their faces that wasn't great.

And it suited him so well when he did his chores no joke our XZ 😍
