The part where Shen Li punched Mofang during the sea battles was also satisfying for me because it was deserved. Even for those who liked Mofang's character admit that this scene was too satisfying. She gave him some good beating and actually step on him. I was like yeah nice punch that’s my gal 🤜 Rather than being sad like everyone I was delighted lmfaooo 🤣
I can’t stop thinking about so. Can I talk about my favorite ML highlights? I'm not always a fan of the hyper-protective scenes from a ML which can make FL into a damsel in distress. Yet in this drama, it was just perfect, all these scenes left a strong joy on me even. Let's start with when XZ used his technique to destroy the entire temple after Shen Li was seriously injured. Of course, we have the one where he challenged Shen Li to a fight out w him for pure jealousy and which look like a romantic waltz under the guise to me. I don't know about you but I also liked the part where Xinzhi protected her with a single hands movement by stopping the false attack from the sea but which was just a diversion from Fusheng. The posture and his aura on that scene is just majestic and splendid. Next, the one where he froze miles of the Eastern Sea with the natural law lightning. The one after picking her up in a bad torture state when he was very careful to ease the pain when he treated her looking heartbroken. Towards the end when he was in multitasking mode having Shen Li's back and fighting against father while being injured. There are others I liked with him but these are really my favorites on his actions momentum.

You forget a bunch of mini wanna-be villains taking so much pace and screen who plot against the couple for this or that adding tiring subplot, sometimes poorly executed that can becomes boring or annoying. I like typical xianxia but I'm satisfied that they changed the usual pattern.

I agree with you because even if others actors could just be as good for an ancient god because they’re great actors. I would agree maybe on the looks only. After seeing him fit the role, I doubt about someone could have played and bring the character brazen, passive, comic, odd, serious and unserious XY/XZ the way LGX did. Then can we talk about the sizzling chemistry of ZLY and LGX which is literaly everything for the romance. I am so happy with the choice and I can’t imagine it otherwise too.
