It may be a late response but just in case... Yes there is as well as there is a main couple among the lead. The romance will not take full part of the show, but it is still part of the show!

I honestly recommend it, also don't focus on the acting of the side characters, if you be considerate about that and focus on the main actor's acting (aka Park Solomon), normally everything is going to be smooth and enjoyable.

I have not watched it yet, I am convinced it will be good.

Class of lies is one of my favorite drama of all time (so damn underrated).

Well, I doubt there will be a second season. Two actors are also idols with VERY busy schedules.

The last 5-6 episodes did not add anything overall to the story at all, it's like absolulely nothing is happening in those episodes, it felt like such a huge waste of time. I have watched until the end solely for Younghoon's parts. If it weren't for Younghoon's I would have dropped it withouth any hesitation! Younghoon's love for Ja Rim was the only interesting plot and they did not took that much advantage out of it ? The drama could have easily shortened the useless scenes to focus on Younghoon and Ja Rim. I guess, Youghoon might have been way too much busy (he was also practicing a lot and promoting...). Anyways, Younhoon's acting was very good.

I am currently rewatching it for the 4th time. One of the few chinese drama I can binge watch and rewatch. It says a lot.
