Hasn't the director/screenwriter mentioned he had no plans for a second season before? Why do I feel like he got…
I posted a link earlier to a news story. Netflix has an option in their contract to get a 2nd season. They don’t pay performance bonuses. Instead they reward you by paying a lot of money for the next season.
I haven’t seen Squid Game yet but even for shows I love, I don’t normally want a 2nd season. Actually, especially for shows I love I don’t want a second season. It usually just dilutes the quality and spoils the pleasant memory a little bit.
I wonder if this was conceived with the end of episode 15as the “real” ending and episode 16 as an alternate ending. They both work but episode 15 seems to fit better. Episode 16 is an epilogue. It loses a bit of the suspenseful energy but does give more insight into Do Hyun Soo’s character.
I want to watch this but this thing with the “seasons” is stopping me. Is the story complete or is it unfinished? I don’t want to start something that will never have an ending.
It put me to sleep 3 episodes in a row. That never happens. After that, I dropped it. It was like watching a documentary about cardboard. Totally don’t get the hype.
If you want to know if it gets better, I personally found it did after the first 2 episodes and then again around episode 5 or 6.
