This drama is so cringy but it's so cute lol. Anyone else cringing with me?
There are bits that are kind of cringy but it’s so freaking cute that the cringiness is forgivable. Idk if you’ve watched The Boss and Me but I found that one just plain cringy and had to drop it.
This drama is SO ADORABLE!!! It’s only aired for a couple of days but I’m already in love with it. It’s so cute! I’ve seen in the comments that some people thing Yang Zi isn’t very suitable for Tong Nian’s character. I haven’t read the novel, so I don’t know if I have a lot of say in this, but I honestly can’t imagine anyone else as Tong Nian. Also, I love Li Xian’s portrayal of Han Shang Yan. Like he can look all bad tempered and cold and cool, but when he smiles/laughed he’s super cute and the cool “big boss” attitude is immediately gone and replaced with this cute sunshiny boy. Another thing I’m gonna throw in here is that I’ve also seen some people say that there seems to be not a lot of chemistry between Yang Zi and Li Xian and that they “don’t really match”. I’m not sure if this is because A LOT of people out there ship Yang Zi and Deng Lun together, but personally I think Yang Zi and Li Xian will show the audience more chemistry later in the drama when their characters actually start to date and stuff. Yang Zi and Li Xian were actually university classmates and graduated in the same year, so although they haven’t appeared in any dramas together before this one, they’ve known each other for quite some time.

Kind of both. She was able to come back to life because of the magical ash that was given to her and because she gave her life to stop the battle between the demon and heaven kingdoms. However she came back to life by reincarnating as a human. I hope this makes sense?
So are we never going to see the ending of this due to censorship? Or is it just on hold right now and will restart…
I think the ending was just compressed into 2 episodes because there was another drama that was going to air. It was a last minute decision, I believe.
The wait for this is seriously agonizing. All I can say is that I am SO GRATEFUL that I'm fluent in Chinese, even though I'm born and raised in Canada. That way I can watch it as soon as it comes out.
I just realized that this director is the one who directed Ashes of Love. That means The Pillow Book will probably be REALLY GOOD :) OMG SO EXCITED!!!!!!

The actress who plays Qin Zhi Yan has to also act out some of Lu Zhao Yao's parts, because to everyone else they look exactly the same. Only Zhi Yan herself can see Zhao Yao's true appearance. The actress does a really good job of doing it. :)
