It's an OK drama.
Good things: The OST, the acting (in most of them), the cinematography, the filming locations.
Bad things: The plot and the characters setting.
In a romcom, you only need a good story and great chemestry, i think this drama lack in both of the key points, the chemestry between leads it's ok but there is no passion behind, so for a 'married couple' it looks so innocent that somehow lacks the spicy. And the plot is like reading a wattpad story there are things happening but everything is so plane. The actors did what they could with that characters backgrounds.
Anyways i liked that the ML character was different to many other ML he is a 100% green flag and it has some funny moments. I'm sad that there isn't a particular moment or scene that reminds me of the drama, maybe when they were taking the wedding photos.
Overall 7.5/10 for me.

It's ok. The romance and relationship between the leads and the secondary couple are really good, the characters have some development, the costumes and make up are really beautiful, i liked the armors of the soldiers that show how it was difficult to move with it, the OST is also so nice and of course the actors are really great.
On the other hand the story telling isn't as great as the rest, i hate the fact that they didnt show how the 'emperor' got to be the Emperor, they just cut that part. At other parts it was so slow and drag the plot, in others the characters didn't act like themselves and then they went back to normal.
My favourite part was how they worked together at the end. Its worth watching. For me 8.5 out of 10.

Good things: The main couple relationship, started toxic, but evolved into an enjoyable romance; The action scenes, kudos to the action director; the attention to details like the story makes sense in a lot parts of the drama; the complex of the characters definitely not everyone is completely good or completely bad; The clothes and the ambientation.
Bad things according to me: The casting, like the males are all baby-faced but none of them look like their fathers or mothers LOL, OK that part isn't as bad, but the casting of Xia Jing Shi is sooooo bad like for real i haven't seen an actor in a big role being as bad as him, but not for being the bad guy, but for bad actor, his face barely shows anything, only like 10% of his scenes are well acted, uff, poor director i guess he or they had a lot of work in his scenes. Some parts of the story are really boring, like i could bing all the drama, but when the boring parts arrive i had to pause and continue another day. The second half of the drama isn't as good as the first half, and the ending is so rushed, they should cut the part were they pick flowers over and over, and some nonsense politics with the two cities.
Overall pretty good. 8.5 out of 10.

The plot was like and old wattpad story, all over the place and non sense. Nice costumes, OST and the Dowager Empress acting was so good, better than the rest of the cast. 6.5 for me

The best episodes are between 20 and 34. The rest focuses on gossip and feels like a Mexican or Turkish soap opera, where what matters most is what others think and what happens are gossipy things like divorces or cheating.
The final resolution was very good; the costumes, cinematography, OST, and the actors, especially the more experienced ones like the main villain, were very good. The relationship between the main characters was the best; they communicated and had a close chemistry like camaraderie, although when it came to the romance, when they kissed, there wasn't much chemistry; that part felt forced.
Overall, it's an acceptable drama to pass the time, but it's overly dramatic in some parts. I don't think it will leave a lasting impression on me. 7.5 out of 10 for me.

Ohhh i'm finally agree with a list, the top3 (IU, Park Bo Young and Jung So Min) for real i would watch a drama just for any of them.

I'm in love with time travel type of dramas. I like it the main plot, the cinematography and direction, the actors, the intrigue is so good, on the other hand the female lead was a little weak, the OST was kind of meh and some parts were just 'how convenient', but in general is a really good and entertaining drama. For me 8.5 out 10.

Anyways, sometimes i overthink when is just a drama, and i liked it was entertaining and I laughed a lot, especially every time the king arrived, who went in slow motion and looking cool, and when characters appeared and they always show the name, haha.

Lee Joon Gi played Gong Gil in the King and the Clown, but in that movie the character is really different.

Well, i know even when i'm not korean, cause this character has been adapted many times in different dramas, maybe i'm just asuming that she knows about him when she doesn't? Cause he kind of lost his mind when he realized that 'his mother' was the deposed queen and not he one that he thought it was. And i forgot to mention that when Gong Gil character appered, i could only think in Lee Joon Gi hehe

I know is a drama based in some historical characters that are not the represented in the drama, cause time travel doesn't exist neither this characters, i'm just saying that is interesting that in fact he accept that he commited all the crimes the first purge, the eviction of the inhabitants of the hunting area and even having taken many women away from their families, whether or not they were returned later, he is a criminal but at the end his ending was better than other characters that weren't criminals.
And about the FL, yes she didn't remember every detail they show this in the drama in several episodes, but at least she knew why the king was going crazy about his mom dead, but she never shared a small detail to him, and at some point she tought she changed everything (In fact she did change a part), and i have seen tons of time travel dramas i know some characters are heroes, some try to fix their past, some try to help as long as they can and some others are selfish is not a crime, it's just the type of character.
And oh the production cut the ending? Many dramas film different endings and some other are cut cut cut like the case of any chinese drama, at the end that doesn't change anything cause the ending we know is the same.
Now you talk about the source material, it is ok, but i haven't read it, so i'm just talking about the drama adaptation.

A romantic comedy drama, reviving the genre a bit, which in my opinion has had less-than-stellar dramas in recent years.
A cook travels back in time thanks to a book and an eclipse, and a king known for being a tyrant who also had a ton of wives and about 20 children (I think the drama doesn't take this into account and doesn't include it, but he is married to at least one concubine); they meet, and a lot happens.
The cooking scenes are very well done and lighten the mood. The characters are well-structured, and the main ones are very well-played. Most of the characters are also likable, which makes the drama more enjoyable. The OST is very nice; although it's not my favorite of the year, it's pretty close. I really liked the cinematography and the setting, despite being filmed almost entirely in indoor locations, in this case inside the palace.
We have Cook Yeon, who knows the general events of what happened in the past and chooses not to tell anyone, and even decides to ignore everything she knows. If we analyze her character a little, her personal growth was very limited; she's the same almost from episode 2 to 12 and is a bit selfish by not sharing at least a little information she knows. But on the other hand, we had an authentic person who truly cares about the well-being of those close to her. One part that makes me question how a person in today's modern world can travel back in time and decide to be the "other" of the king, who is a married man, and although in Joseon, one could have multiple wives, she would have to accept being one more for him. Of course, in the drama, he only had eyes for her; it's just a drama anyway.
On the other hand, we have King Yi Heon, who is the typical authoritarian king of many dramas. Even his way of speaking is typical of many dramas, and I don't mean this because of how they spoke during the Joseon era, but rather, he elevates his tone to speak with "authority." His character does undergo personal growth throughout the drama. In fact, he's the one who changes the most, going from a tyrant to a more understanding king. However, before our female protagonist appeared, he was a murderer who also took hundreds of women for his entertainment.
The drama focused more on cooking, which was very enjoyable. I really liked the competitions, the dishes, and the chefs.
The balance between ridiculousness and comedy was very well balanced. You knew it was a drama the whole time, but it was funny and entertaining, which is what counts.
Now, the writers didn't give the story a conclusion; they just left it that way so as not to change the story, but I didn't like it because justice wasn't served. The villains died, but so many other people died in such an ugly way: the ladies of the court, the eunuchs, the dowager queen grandmother, and the widowed consorts. None of them were good, but in this case, the king wasn't good either. And since they don't know how to conclude the story, they give you an X ending, saying the king traveled to the future, and since they can't explain it, they say it's a secret. LOL.
Overall, I think it's a good drama; the main plot is interesting, and there's good romance and comedy. 8.5 out of 10 for me.

It's an entertaining series full of inconsistencies. To watch it: 1. Don't expect anything. 2. Watch it only for the actors. 3. Turn off your brain.

When Ki Ga Yeong's Arabian life (the first life, I suppose) was dying, the "Genie" asked everyone to use a wish to save her, otherwise he would never be able to save her. When Ki Ga Yeong was falling off the cliff in her present life, no one made a wish, but he easily saved her. LOL

How many times did they travel to Dubai? In this drama, there's no sense of time, much less a sense of displacement. Everything happens when it suits it, although a trip like this from Seoul to Dubai can take between 8 and 20 hours, that's if they lived in Seoul. But to travel, they have to go to Seoul International Airport. Oh, but the Angel of Death can go from one place to another, and the Genie sometimes goes by plane and sometimes only with the help of magic. The beasts also travel wherever they want at whenever they want. And regarding "time," the production puts the mini-stories on separate days, but sometimes it doesn't make sense, like the killer's story, which they pause for several episodes and then decide to come back to, but it feels out of place with the things happening in the drama.

Anyway, I wasn't expecting a masterpiece, but honestly, the whole story has NOTHING to do with the final episode. They went with the "We're going to kill almost the entire cast" ending, a classic. I think the wishes were wasted. The purchased wish was a waste of time, haha.

As for the religious aspect, I've seen dozens of dramas about demons, Satan, hell, etc., so for me it's just another drama.

Anyway, you have to try not to think about the bad things and enjoy it, right? Actor, OST, photography and main plot really interesting. Overall 7 out of 10. How lovely Suzy and Kim Won Bin, finally together again in a drama.

I disliked Matsuyama Ryuji since second 1 till his last breath i hate it, why he has more screen time with Usagi than Arisu? Yucky, also is so dumb that he made it in the 'light blast game'.
The games in this one are kind of boring; also there were a lot of similarities with Squid Game like in the bad way, the 'baby also counts' pff; the ending in California with a girl named Alice? Oh please don't please. Also a lot of characters that made it till the end but i couldn't care a thing about them, like great for them but who are they? We barely see a flash back of their lives.
And i really hate that they ruined such an amazing series like this was a solid 9 out of 10, but with this ugly season? ='(
I loved Arisu and his sacrifice for Usagi, but this season isn't deep it was superficial and just for the show . I give a 7.5 out 10, just for the previous seasons.

For me the last 6 episodes ruined everything, i was going to give a better raiting, but i disliked the ending.

This drama had a lot of opposites, like great Main Lead, i liked his range in all the scenes, some other great actors, and some others lame actors uff, then it got such a great action scenes, the art director was so great in this drama but OMG the plot at some points is so dumb, they went on the 'let's kill half of the cast' route oh well another drama were they kill characters every two episodes, and the last 6 episodes were really dumb, like they totally drop the bit of logic that the drama had.

Anyways, i enjoyed watching two episodes per day i waited happy to watch and i was going to give more stars but due to the triple kill of the ML then i didn't like, so 8 out 10.

In the first or second episode he explains that he wrote those characters based on his university friends, and in fact there is a joke there cause when they apper their names are switched
