honestly agree with all of these...but im liking the current adaptations of BoF….the Taiwanese and Chinese ver were a disappointment and I don't even wanna talk abt the Korean ver (with the exception of lee Minho everything else was a trainwreck). the Japanese ver was amazing tho. I love how the current meteor garden is changing the plot and taking out all the toxic tropes. it's like putting bandaid over the wounds the prev vers left with all the excessive bullying, rape that was normalized. the newer versions take it as an actual issue than just use it as a trope and idk I like that
the most fascinating thing is how these remakes are actually getting better with time
I know...but I appreciate how the newer adaptations deviate from the original by changing the absolutely shitty aspects of the previous like the rape, and how domyouji's character development happens and only then does she accept him :D

yess im totally living for this positive adaptation. hanadan was my fav adaptation but it was quite dated and there's been so much change in society since....I love how it's reflected in the dramas....2018 is a year of positivity yass get rid of all toxic tropes
truuuuu…..he really brought the character to life. id prolly hate the entire franchise if not for matsujun and inoue mao and the entire Jdrama cast tbh
