I agree too...this is the kinda thing you realize after the initial elation of beginner viewing passes. but for a compelling and truly amazing 10/10 drama this is necessary. but dramas for mindless viewing don't.
lol this is the reason hana yori dango stands strong as the best compared to all other adaptations. tho I do not in the least consider snape any kind of hero. he was quite the problematic character.
um hey y'all in the comments...pls stop seeing pedonoona as a good thing...cos it's absolutely not. any form of pedophilia is wrong and there is no negotiation on that. admiring an actor's ability is one thing and sexualizing a kid is a whole other...guys pls...stop. y'all are better than this.
dang this article is very last year....I could relate to them in my newbie days. but yup now I slip up and say aish or jinjja or wae in irl conversations and confuse lots of ppl….honestly pedonoonas are absolutely disgusting. and ofc the dreaded kdrama burnout. but the kdramas that trigger them were absolutely amazing and I would do it all over again...no way in hell would im not a robot trigger a kdrama burnout tho...unless you're a newbie and/or have watched pretty mediocre dramas
yesss one of my all time fav movies. it was so beautiful...im not even a 90s kid but millennial enough to relate. I feel so old already. ur article reignited the nostalgia <3
this was a masterpiece. the actress, child actors were so talented like whoa but above all the storytelling and direction remains unrivalled. I have yet to find a movie that could even come close.
(T-T) when will the casting staff stop sleeping on dong ha and give him a lead role already....his ability to act the toughest and a variety of characters perfectly is so rarely seen and he has the visuals too. I cant believe he hasn't gotten a proper lead role yet.
I just finished this drama but I didn't feel wowed because it just feels like this drama did the bare minimum…
hmm....id have to agree with u on that. this is not the kinda topic you'd expect a kdrama to have and I love how they portrayed her haunting emotional journey so well. I think they went for the individual to appeal to ppl and focused on effects like breaking apart a family. honestly I was quite disappointed at how baek jung ki/spiritual father's part was handled. tho it is pretty accurate abt ms kang leaving the cult to start another. an effect that's very neglected. most cult leaders are former cult members but somehow I felt they took the easy way out. bc his crimes were not exposed. he died with more dignity than he left any of the living cult members with.
idk I lowkey hope for a season 2 to resolve apostle kang storyline and future sangmi but at the same time idt ill be able to go thru that again
honestly it's better without a romance. pls don't skip this bc of that. it's an amazing drama....despite such a unique and almost never seen concept, they researched well and it's perfectly done. you'll be missing out on a lot
what's the significance of the big red cross lighting up or not?
