The only reason that I continue watching this is because I have already (somewhat) finished the first part, and there is less than 25 episodes for the second season, so I thought, what the heck, might as well finish this (I'm not one who dropped dramas, instead watch it till the end while doing errands and other things LoL). My opinion is similar to the first season. I like Tan Song Yun's acting in this drama, but it's not enough to give this a higher rating. The rest of the cast is not my favorite and the main male lead (I don't even remember his name and don't bother to look it up) is so bad in my opinion. Overall, wouldn't recommend this drama unless you're a big fan of any of the actors or actresses.

A different kind of love story

This drama differs from most romance c-drama that I've watched. Not lovey dovey traditional guy chase girl romance. This is a beautiful love story with an obsession twist built in. He Ran, a terminally ill young lady is very aggressive-ly chasing her crush, a guy much older who can be her uncle. In the beginning it looks like she has nothing to lose, but as the story progress she realized that she wants to continue living more than her family and friends wanted to. Her protective mother and childhood friend treated her like a fragile person who with just one wrong act can prove fatal for her health. He Ran found her reason for living in Xiao Han. Despite their different backgrounds and personalities, the two really love each other. I like that the director made the FL and ML mysterious and reveals their story and background with each episode. I don't particularly like the relationship between He Ran's mother and the college guy, it just feels wrong to me and I thought it didn't give any value or added flavor to the series. I like He Ran's obsession with Xiao Han, but Zhang Yuan Qi's obsession with He Ran's mother is just feels wrong to me. Overall, the series pretty good, although quite sad. And Jerry Yan looks amazing like he hasn't aged that much from 20 years ago.

I started watching this drama for Ni Ni. The two main female lead are excellent. This is a slice of life drama which is not for everyone. The drama is very slow build and there are romance but very slow and closer to real life story. But it has development and a good build up until the end. The main story is about two best friend who depended on each other to weather through life’s up and down. Overall i thought this drama is pretty good

A Tragic Love Story

I'm not someone who watches currently airing drama and I made the right the decision to wait until both seasons aired to watch this (well, on Netflix it's not divided into seasons. My expectation when I started this series was a bit low, but it exceeded my expectation. It's rare to find a "tragic" but memorable love story. My favorite has to be Tan Jian Ci's Xiang Liu. TJC portrayed his character very well that I can feel and sense his pain and emotion. My heart aches for Xiang Liu. Depending on who you're rooting for, the drama can be a happy or sad ending. For me, it's more a sad ending. But I'm not one who minds sad ending and it's usually the most memorable ones. Overall, I really like this drama. And I also really love the OST.

This drama is beyond my expectation. Yang Zi has improved a lot on her acting, from Ashes of Love, then to her annoying character in Ode To Joy :) I thought she did really well portraying a rather complex character. I thought she showed the right emotion for the part. Out of the four males surrounding her I thought Tan Jian Ci performed really well and his character is the most interesting one in my opinion. Overall this is a good drama for me... Off to the second part of the drama.

This drama started out good, but unfortunately didn't last long. I got confused with the story itself. The FL gets on my nerve as the drama progress. I gave a higher score because I thought Kenny Lin's appearance (abs abs abs) in this drama is worth its own points haha.. Other than that, I don't really care for this drama at all.

Joy of Life season 2 is a continuation from Season 1, a sequel that we have all been waiting for five years to watch. The bad thing about this is it has a third season with no definitive date of airing. I debated back and forth on whether to watch the whole thing after Season 3 is out, but what the heck, I can't wait that long :) Fan Xian is one of my favorite in this series, but I have to acknowledge the characters and acting of the more senior actors. Season 1 put a lot of focus on character introduction and development, while season 2 delves deeper into the plot. Looking forward to what Season 3 brings (Marcus Sim just said Tencent confirmed Joy of Life 3 :)).

I haven't watched Wallace Huo in a long time, so when this title came on Netflix, I immediately watch it. Not only because pf Wallace Huo, but because I thought the topic is interesting. We all have parents and we all will grow old someday. This drama is a reminder that life is fragile and short and no matter how busy we are in our daily life, we have to make time and spend it with our parents.

A different kind of xian xia

This feels different to me than other xian xia dramas that I've seen. The story is okay for me, but I really like the chemistry between the ML and FL as well as the 2nd ML and FL. Acting wise, Chen Xing Xu and Li Landi did well in portraying their character. Chen Xing Xu plays different character with different emotions and I think he can really act and not just a pretty face :) The middle part towards the end gets a bit boring, which is normal for a drama series, but with this it doesn't really bother me a lot. The various side story for the side characters are interesting to watch too, so it's fine. The drama is funny too, so it's not all serious. And the OST is excellent.. I would definitely rewatch this if I have time.

Once in a while i like to watch family drama like this one. I've watched a little reunion and really liked it. This one, however, is not as good. They're both about family and how it struggles to have a good education for their children, so that they can get into the best universities. A Love for Dilemma is not about the famous "gao kao", but the preparation and pressure to the children starts from elementary school! The drama shows how children in China is pressured by the parents to do well in education that it sometimes sacrifice their happiness. And the parents tried to make them as competitive as possible from the early start. The cast I thought did really well. I like the little actors too. Although this is not as good as A little reunion, I still enjoyed this drama

Hard work, perseverance and luck

This is a good workplace drama. Some (or maybe all) of the characters felt real. You may have met these characters in your office or heard your friends talk about them in theirs. There are some who make you want to scream at the screen in frustration because you also have encountered such person in your life. I thought the actors all did well. They did with real situations and circumstances in the workplace. They cover issues in discrimination, such as shown by the only female interns and new employee in the office. The drama shows that hardwork and experience alone can only get you as far. Everyone needs a little luck on their side. The drama also shows what it takes to be a good manager to the subordinate as well as the value of good team work. I really really like the three actors' acting in Integrated Team IV. Bai Jing Ting, as always, played the part of an inexperienced and not properly educated rookie, placed in the wrong place. I thought he did very well. My favorite character however is Manager Lin. He shows kindness and compassion from the start. A good boss and colleague. I really like his character. If you're into real workplace drama that has minimal romance, I would recommend this. As always, with the number of episodes, the drama can get long, but for me, the acting of the actors alone is worth it.

This is one of the "watchable" romance drama. Not too "idolistic" that makes me want to gag and loose interest. But the story of the FL and ML is just so natural in my opinion. I like the chemistry between the FL and ML. she's so cute at times but not in an "over do it" kind of way. The pace is also okay, not too slow.

I was excited to watch this drama. I thought this would be one that I have a hard time moving on from and the FL and ML would be favorite TV couple. I figured, since a lot of people like this drama, it can't be that bad, can it? WRONG. Maybe people have different taste, but this is just okay for me. Nothing to brag about or write to my friends to immediately watch this drama. Well, to be fair, this drama is not all bad. There are some good things about it, for example the music. I love the music, especially the ending theme song of the first half. The story had premise, but I thought it was just not executed well. It started out good, but there is so many loopholes. (SPOILER ALERT: The main loophole is the last episode. How can they have a daughter at the end? When Sang Wu Yan was brought to the hospital, her tummy was FLAT! Even if the baby was prematurely born, her tummy can't be that flat for > 6 months pregnant! That is puzzling. I was hoping for a plot twist at the end, when she said goodbye. I thought she didn't survive and it was all just a dream. I would have given a higher score if that is the case haha). The positive side is, this drama has very minimal conflict, but to me it can be boring. If you're just looking for an easy watch with no conflict and simple romance story, then you would be happy with this drama. As for me, I don't like it.

A love across universe

This a monstrous (by today's standard) 59 episode xian xia. In my opinion, it can definitely be shortened to 40 (the norm episode numbers today) and would have gotten a higher rating for me. I think this is a good drama, with good storyline and interesting characters. My first time watching both Cheng Yi and Crystal Yuan. I thought Cheng Yi is a good actor and played his role well. He can show the emotion that the complicated Si Feng faces. Crystal, on the other hand, is just so so and her character her is in the border of annoying for me. Like the majority of Chinese Xian Xia dramas, the "white" or "good" clan is not necessarily the good guys. They are hypocrites and act like a saint, whilst not necessary good. The evil clan in the end sometimes can be the good guys. Overall, i enjoy watching this drama, although i do tend to loose focus on some parts.

This is an unexpectedly good watch for me. It's an inspirational story. I wish I had a teacher like that when I was in high school. A teacher who not only teaches the curriculum, but also teaches life to his students. I love the story. Guo Jing Fei played his role really well. I will definitely rewatch this when i need an inspirational story.
