Well, I think at this point someone should point out that you continuing the topic in a new post, just to continue spreading the problem, is also not particularly cool behavior. So you should deal with your own toxic behavior before calling out anyone else's.
No one here has to curb their opinion in order to address anyone else's mental health. This is a discussion board and all manner of opinions, both negative and positive, will be present. If negative reviews of the show and strong debating upset a person, then it's up to them to moderate their presence here, not blame the community.

It's purpose is real, but its employ in Thai storytelling is comedic in nature because there is a culture trope that you use the inhaler in the way I mentioned before hand. Therefore in storytelling it's funny. Like it was in KP.

The peppermint inhaler is specifically a Thail cultural thing as it's a comic marker that indicates a moment of either over-excitement that stuns so much that the bracing smell of the peppermint inhaler is used to bring them back around, or preparing oneself for something where over-excitement is to be avoided and the bracing smell gives them focus. It's often a "this is funny" indicator.

I have all manner of show I like. For many different reasons. And I can't think of a one of them that I've liked that features age gap in the main characters.

I did drop it. Back in episode 3. Because yes, there are way better dramas and unlike BPG, I simply did not have the fortitude for all the unhealthy problems in the show being presented as cute.

I responded specifically to the idea of a 9 year age gap. The show's circumstances only make it iffier. But all on it's own, when you are as young as 19/20 it's gross for someone 9 years older than you to be trying to get with you. And Ew is a perfectly valid expression of how gross it is.

Ew isn't rude. It's perfectly valid expression of my revulsion. And age gap at the point of someone barely at the end of their teens dating someone 9 years older is definitely "Ew". The aditional circumstances just make it more Ew.

Age is just a number when one of the party isn't just barely an adult that has been brought up his whole life to believe he's supposed to marry X older person. Because that's kind of nasty.
