This might have been mentioned before, but male and female twins cannot be identical twins because identical twins…
It can happen only in extremely rare occasion - When it can happen (the rare exceptions) Opposite‑sex “identical” twins can occur only through unusual genetic events:
Loss of a Y chromosome after the embryo begins dividing A fertilized egg that is genetically male (46,XY) can lose the Y chromosome in one early cell. If twinning happens afterward, one twin may be 46,XY (male) and the other 45,X (female with Turner syndrome). These cases have been documented but are extremely rare.
Semi‑identical twinning (very rare) An unusual fertilization event where two sperm fertilize one egg, and the resulting embryo later splits. This can produce twins who share some identical DNA but differ in sex. (Only a handful of cases ever reported.)
OK, this is becoming interesting am I the only one that thinks that the ML knows who she is and he's trying to protect her and secondly he's protecting his family for something that he know is soon going to happen about the bad deeds that the late Emperor and his grandfather did. I'm trying to figure why a newly married man is taking half his family with him to the capital.
i don’t understand cui’s wrongdoings reason . if she wanted to marry off lin family why would she poison them…
1. Social‑class resentment + failed marriage ambitions Both Du Cuique and Du Zheng came from a low-status military family. Their only path upward was to marry into a powerful household.
Du Cuique tried to become Lin Jinqi’s concubine.
Du Zheng tried to win over Lin Xiuwan by staging encounters and manipulating her feelings.
But the Lin family looked down on their status and rejected both attempts. This rejection is the moment their ambition turned into hatred. 2. Du Cuique’s bitterness after her “concubine plan” failed Du Cuique entered the Lin household pretending to be obedient, but her real goal was to marry Lin Jinqi and rise socially. When she realized the Lin family would never accept her, she decided:
If she couldn’t rise through the Lin family, she would destroy them and take their place.
She poisoned the bathwater to make the household appear plague‑stricken, triggering an official siege of the Lin residence.
3. Du Zheng’s jealousy and desire for power Du Zheng was jealous of Lin Jinqi’s status and felt humiliated that the Lin family would never allow him to marry Lin Xiuwan. When outside forces (Han Wang and Dai Rong) promised him wealth and power if he helped eliminate Lin Jinqi, he agreed. He believed:
If Lin Jinqi died, the Lin family would be easy to control.
He then planned to kill Lin Jinqi during the staged “Japanese pirate raid.”
4. Shared delusion: “If the Lin family dies, their power becomes ours.” The Du siblings convinced themselves that the Lin family’s influence could be seized if its strongest members—Lin Jinqi and Lin Shunhua—were eliminated. They saw the rest of the Lin household as weak “paper tigers.” Their logic was simple but deranged:
Kill Lin Jinqi
Let the household collapse under “plague” rumors
Step into the vacuum and claim status, wealth, and influence
This was the core of their takeover fantasy.
⭐ In summary Du Cuique and Du Zheng wanted the Lin family dead because:
Their marriage‑for-power schemes failed
They felt humiliated and looked down upon
They were jealous of Lin Jinqi’s status
They were tempted by promises of wealth and influence
They believed killing the Lin family would let them take over their position in society
Their ambition curdled into hatred, and hatred into a full conspiracy to wipe out the entire Lin household.
So far I don't like this drama all she does is lie and manipulate, honestly she's not a nice person. Her fighting scene where she's saves herself and Tian Jia Min was fake and the wobbly sword was laughable. I stopped laughing when she made Tian Jia Min the heroine in this scenario and falling asleep on her. The poor girl was frightened and again she manipulates and fans the sedative to the prince, who would fall for someone like her. 12 more episode I will be glad that this over. One of the worst dramas I have so far watched this yr. Trying hard to finish this one.
I’m on episode 5, and I still don’t quite understand this drama at all. Cha Min‑Ki is still legally married to No Young‑Ju on paper, yet he’s living with Na Se‑Ri, with whom he had a daughter, Na Ji‑Ni. To me, it makes no sense to keep the adulterer. No Young‑Ju wants him to suffer, but he isn’t — she and her sons are the ones suffering.
Na Ji‑Ni is pathetic, yes. She was betrayed and bullied by her so‑called friend Do Do‑Hee, and I can understand her having PTSD from that. Her panic attacks around No Young‑Ju’s sons and the side‑eye she gives Dang Eungok Mai and Cha O‑Reum — I don’t understand her at all. Her father and mother made her a child of sin, not love but lust.
Going to No Young‑Ju’s home to demand a divorce so she can be “legitimate” was absolutely wrong. She should have confronted her parents, not the wife.
So far, the only character I like is the little boy, Cha O‑Reum, because he is truly the innocent one in this entire disaster. I’m going to keep watching to see everyone get some type of K‑Drama justice, which has been lacking lately.
I was really into this drama until the amnesia storyline showed up. That trope just pulls me out every time. And what happened with her sister felt unfinished — I was waiting for a real confrontation or at least a moment of forgiveness. Why bring her up if we never get to see them reunite? I also couldn’t understand why the girlfriend kept pining after a guy who clearly didn’t want her, or why he was still hung up on a “friend” who’s a married woman. And did they seriously make Jun the child of the main leads?
You can watch it on Hulu in its original language—I prefer watching without dubbing as well. For Light Shop…
How do I turn off dub on Hulu? How do I change the audio settings on Hulu? During Playback: Click or tap the settings icon during playback. In the Settings Menu: Choose the “Subtitles & Audio” option. Here you can select your desired audio language, turn subtitles on or off, and enable/disable audio description.
Is there any way to watch this show not with eng dubs? I'm in America and hulu/disney only has this available…

Go Hyun-jung left the Korean drama "Return" due to ongoing conflicts with the production team. Reports indicate that there were frequent disagreements between her and the director, Joo Dong-min, over her character's role and direction in the drama. These disputes escalated to the point where the production team decided to remove her from the show There were also rumors of a physical altercation, but her agency denied any physical assault, stating it was a verbal conflict
