no need to apologise if it's ur thoughts! i think this discussion forum should be open to all as well. i think…
I agree! Constructive discussion should be welcomed. What I was probably trying to say and not particularly eloquently was, try to keep on open mind when watching.
Part observation/part rant - apologies in advance!
When did - Slow Burn start to mean boring? When did - A romance tag mean the leads have to be together by episode 10? When did - Character Development became a reason to dislike said character(s)? When did - Human emotion from trauma - something to be criticised? When did - Subtle changes in expression - becomes the performers can't act?
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and healthy disagreement is fine. I even understand that this drama won't be for everyone. I guess I don't understand why a drama/performers are not appreciated for what it is or they are, instead the focus being on what is perceived to be wrong.
Question. How do people feel towards XQ now? I've been a supporter of her since the beginning, but I appreciate not everyone feels the same? Has episode 22 and for those that have seen it 23 made a difference?
In my opinion I felt the director was kind of mocking viewers with giving the happy ending, but killing everyone…
Somehow the director thought the ending was supposed to make up for all the other issues. Like we would all forget what had happened over the previous 39 episodes!!!
Pretty enjoyable so far without breaking any new ground. Will be interesting to see where they go with the plot. Anle & LMX plotting revenge and seemingly smarter than everyone else. Will HY fall into this trap or is he already at least somewhat of aware of Anle's hidden agenda? I kind of want to see plans within plans and not a straightforward revenge. I feel this would add more depth to the plot and the characters.
I like this drama no matter what people say. XQ's problems are real and raw. They are nowhere as easy to overcome…
I agree, it's definitely not as simple as some would have you believe. Both XQ and SY have been damaged by their pasts and to simply expect them to get over it is unrealistic. If that had happened they would be more one dimensional characters and that would make this drama a lot less interesting.
For me, it's truly fascinating the different feelings towards XQ, some sympathise to her situation others find her weak or even stupid. For me its too easy to pick one side and believe she is either a sympathetic person or a weak person.
Personally I try to understand the character before judging. I have sympathy for XQ situation given what we know about her past. That is not say I agree with her every choice but I do empathise to her plight.
Regardless over what anyone's personally beliefs are towards XQ it makes the drama an engaging watch.

Well, I managed to make it to end of this drama. Maybe because I had such high hopes for it and and having previously watched the donghua these hopes were unrealistic. Given the carnage that was committed to most of the cast and the overall lack of intelligence shown by most of the "Hero's" I'm surprised that a so called happy ending was even attempted. It felt almost forced. Unfortunately, even is if this was considered a happy ending, for me it doesn't make up for the numerous flaws in production, writing and direction. I really wanted to enjoy this drama but sadly have been left wanting...
I don't think her decision to leave SY was based on financial security, I think it was based on family pressure…
Its an interesting debate - money over love? Love over money? Can we only choose love when our circumstances allow us too? I guess until your in that situation no one knows how they will react. I'm glad I don't have to make that choice
question: if you were in xu qin's shoes would you also have left him. Me, personally I would have, he was really…
I don't think her decision to leave SY was based on financial security, I think it was based on family pressure and the possibility of losing her adopted family. To answer your question - If it was a choice over money or love I personally would like to think I can always earn more money, but would I find that special person again? Perhaps not..
SY & XQ story is clearly a marathon and not a sprint. Whilst I can understand some on the frustration there is with the slow developing relationship, each tiny step they take, some more successful than others is a an acknowledgment that they belong to each other. I know not everyone thinks XQ has made enough effort to move towards SY, but i still think her small acts of rebellion towards her families wishes is her way of accomplishing this. Her choice of profession, joining the rescue team and even saying she already has a boyfriend are examples of this. At least that's how I perceive her actions.
I wasn't sure what to expect when I first viewed the original synapsis for this drama, it didn't make for great reading. Having completed this drama I'm so glad I gave it a chance. Engaging characters, with an enjoyable plot, great chemistry between all the cast and it nailed the ending without rushing it. This last point about the ending is always important to me, so many times a great drama is let down by a rushed ending.
To everyone who have problems with Gulinazha and her character Yu Jingqiu 1. This is a 100% male centric drama…
Completely agree Gulinazha is not the problem with this drama. Poor script, Poor direction and characters that appear at times stupid. This is why the the ratings are bad. She (and the rest of the cast) haven't been given much to work with.
i can give her pass on not for standing up against her mother whom she really feared atleast she can stop her…
I completely agree that SY needs XQ support as they move forward. I just don't think XQ is there yet she is still being influenced by her family. Hopefully in the upcoming episodes we will see this start to change. I'm not sure her apologising at this stage would have helped, it may just emphasised the current gulf between her and SY. It all makes the second half of the drama all the more interesting. Hopefully we will get to see XQ really start to grow

I struggled initially to the lack of response to the trash remark, however she did leave with SY and not her brother, as a small act of rebellion and I'm fairly certain SY doesn't need XQ to fight his battles. Her acts of rebellion whilst not always obvious are there. Her job as a doctor, her family don't agree with this profession. Joining the rescue team is another. This in particular is an attempt to get closer to SY. SY and XQ are very different individuals so there responses to situations are different. XQ certainly needs to fight for herself and her future with SY moving forward which I expect her to do.
On the surface its easy to dislike the FL, on a few occasions I would have hoped for a different response from her, however she is responding in a very human way. As human beings who hasn't been influenced by those closest to us? Who has felt the pressure of expectations? Her slow progress might not please everyone but she has shown acts of rebellion against her family as she attempts to move towards SY. As to XQ not deserving SY love, in my opinion love is not about keeping score, love is sometimes irrational, raw and painful. If love is only for those who deserve it, then there would be a lot more lonely people.
