In regards to your second point, the thing i think you're missing is that yes she could have avoided the accident in In-Hyeok's hometown, but she was not trying to avoid it. She came to the realization that if she avoided it, the future was just going to change and it was just going to happen again in a different way in the future because KYS was going to keep coming after her. This was (she thought) one way to make sure Sun Jae wasn't there when it happened so he couldn't intervene.

I kinda understood it as at that point when he said he couldn’t have done anything, she said those deaths were preventable. Bigger question for me is how he didn’t know who his girlfriend’s older brother was when they had been dating for 7 years

i think like with most others, the rating will peak as it finishes and then drop slightly over time. it will still end up very high though.
