tol's face at the clock tower when tin showed up in the last episode was heartbreaking and beautiful. he visibly switched off his disappointment and it was clear as the day that he was okay with tin not remembering him. he was okay not being the love of tin's life as long as tin was alive and healthy.
and the fond bewilderment when he realised tin actually remembered everything? perfection. tol's arc was beautiful and i love that poor baby so much.
I was thinking about Tin's hypothesis that kissing brings back memories from other loops and I'm starting to believe this is one part where Tin is actually wrong about how the loops work - but fundamentally, believing this still leads to the intended result.
I was considering this mostly because in the week-long loop. Tol has dreams about the past loops when there was no kiss. But they had grown closer, spent time together, Tin had spent the night after tutoring and that is when he started remembering things. So I really think it is their feelings for one another that brings back the memories and not some fairty-tale kiss magic.
The first time Tol started to remember in the two-day loop and Tin kissed him in the clock tower, Tol reacted poorly in the moment, he didnt' expect it, but then later he was clearly considering how it felt.
And he was remembering the kiss and also remembering the other times he died, but all this came after their little shopping "date" and the kiss was definitely the catalyst for Tol to consider his feelings.
Later in the final flipped loop, they play off Tol trying to kiss Tin while sleeping as cute and honestly I don't usually enjoy the kiss sleep trope, but he didn't even quite make it, so would that really count? Also the kiss with the face mask? What was that even? lol
Before the overnight kiss, Tin had just laid out some real truths about himself to Tol, so much so that he said he didn't want to talk about it again because it was so raw. After the ER kiss, again, something major happened between them prior - Tin let go of his anger to help this person live because Tol was determined to do so. And that, Tol's belief in Tin and his bringing back to Tin who Tol knows he could be again and again, really feels like what actually led to Tin being willing to try kissing before they were interrupted outside (to all of our disappointment, including theirs lol).
And in the end, it wasn't a kiss that seems to bring Tin's full memory back, it is his fear for Tol's life when he they are captured. Tin's concern for Tol is what brings back all his memories. As with everything else in this show, it is the love between them that moves them forward, motivates them to do what is right, brings them where they need to be and eventually brings them back together again.
Another thing I pick up from this series, is how little words or gestures can make a difference or change people
Like the little convo Tin and Rit had in ep 5. That conversation moved RIT away from his suicidal thoughts In ep 11, Tol convinced pair and win to put away their differences and accept Rit back the group Also how Tin was able to convince Tol to do the right thing in ep 8
This are the few instances that stood out to me. This series is just so good. I've learnt alot of things watching it than most series. It will always have a special place in my heart🥺🥺
At the scene when little Tol was drowning and Tin shouted to his parents for help, he couldn't go down to help himself. I used to wonder why little Tin didn't go down to help himself. After some research I found out that if you encounter a drowning person like this, don't go down to help yourself if you don't have the skills to help a drowning person because there is a chance that both will sink Even if you can swim, if you don't know how to save a drowning person, don't risk it. There was an incident where two students went to play in the water and the juniors drowned, so they ran down to help conclude that the younger one survived, but the elder drowned instead.
If you dig deep, there are lot of lesson to keep up from Triage.
cannot stop thinking about all those movies and shows that killed queer characters over Nothing, meanwhile here is triage giving queer characters a million chances to go back and save each other, to grow better with and for each other, to scream “we deserve a happy ending!” so loud and bravely that even gods have no choice but to bow to their will
Triage made my laugh, cry, cuss, sweat, threw me off the cliff, shoved me underwater...and I came up begging for more. Triage wasn't just some series - it was an experience.
for me, I'm missing it like crazy

I'm sure we'll get something from them soon😁
You are indeed our no 1 looper😋
I want to see TinTol dating 🥺
