I was emotionally destroyed when I thought it was truly over, but I was also emotionally destroyed when I knew it wasn't. By the end, the loss of all the memories they shared had become just as gut-wrenching as death itself. And that's so powerful. What you do matters, and turning back time to change things can take that from you. The cost is high. They wanted to remember so bad.
