I had just started to like FL a little bit. A tiny bit!!! At first, she was unbearable. Then she took care of XH and all went well. And now she's starting to annoy me again. What a ... I really have to skip all her parts to get through this drama. Her huge grief over that rotten master who turned innocent kids into monsters. Did she even has some brain cells?! All my sympathy goes to the second couple, and I hope they find their happy ending. ZQQ deserves to be happy and he's already in love with Zhong Lin. And preceptor Du, please find yourself another playground. You'll never take the place next to the Emperor. I don't think I've ever been so annoyed by a FL as I am in this drama. And it's not the actress herself. It's her role. I really feel sorry for Ren Jia Lun. He deserves better. Btw, I'm curious to see if we'll ever see a kiss in this drama. 🙄

Not only is she selfish, stupid, ignorant and mourning her master, who turned children into monsters, she's also cold-hearted, awful and cruelly annoying. I have zero understanding for her utterly stupid behaviour. ZERO. Maybe it's better I stop watching. I can't with her. And I tried all 15 episodes. She is the Empress. But she meets her brother, who is NOT her brother and he loves her, whenever she wants. In other dramas, this is adultery, and women have been killed for less. The minister's pregnant daughter kills herself in front of her. She is completely unmoved by this. But she mourns the monster of her master. Sorry. I have absolutely no sympathy for that.
I'm at ep 8 right now and I really don't like the FL. Absolutely not. She's starting to annoy me. And this Preceptor Du girl too. What a jealous bish. But I'll just keep watching for a stunning Ren Jia Lun, Gala Zhang, Wang Zhuo Cheng (I always fell for the bad boys) and my wonderful Li He Nan, who will hopefully find a happy ending in the series with the second Prince. And maybe I should always read the novel first in future. 📘
To be honest, the series wasn't really my cup of tea. But Huang Jun Jie looks stunning. The female actors are not these usually dummies. Zhou Ti Shun as Yan Bao Bao is a great supporting actor and so cute. And the OST is very good. That's why I give it a 7.5/10.
