There's absolutely nothing, nothing at all, that excuses FL’s mother’s behaviour. Even if there'll be an explanation later for her rejection of her own child, and a tearful reconciliation. It's completely unbearable to treat one’s own daughter like that. Fact.
The drama itself isn't that bad. The bromance between the Emperor and his Prime Minister is great. Both lead actors are handsome and doing a good job. But the sound. I don't know what iQIYI did to it. It's either too quiet, too loud, the music drowns everything out, and on top of that, there's that unbearable background noise.
I managed to get through the first episode. And I could only watch episode 2 by taking three long breaks. The FL is unbearable. And that goes for absolutely every single one of her scenes. And I don't know if it's just her role or the actress herself. I’m a huge fan of AHS and Kim Bum. But even they won’t be able to save this drama. It’s going to be just as boring as “POTATO LAB”. FL is so rude, full of herself, and thinks everyone has to do what she says. Her behaviour towards the ML is unbearable. With her miniskirt, heels and Porsche, she thinks she’s something special in the village. Come on, girl, wake up. The village isn’t stuck in the dark ages. The writers always make the villagers look like complete idiots. Yet they’re all lovely, and even if they’re a bit odd, they’ve got a big heart for everyone. They deserve respect. Especially from a spoilt brat like her.

When a drama is called "Love beyond the Grave" we all knew what will happen at the end. OK, we got an alternative ending. A good one. But the drama broke my heart. I cried like a baby. And I lost my heart to Miles being a bad boy. It was my 1st time watching him being evil. And he did great. His chemistry with Reba... ♥ Arthur Chen like always great. But the whole cast is ♥
Yes. Acting is good. There are loads of BLs out there where the actors can’t even deliver a single straigt sentence, and the acting is terrible. After *TIDE OF LOVE*, this one’s actually really good. And everyone has their own opinion. In any case, I’ve watched far worse ones where the actors couldn’t even hold hands.
It took me a while to get into the series. But at the end I loved everything about it. Their chemistry is amazing. The acting is really good. And the storyline is so interesting. That's how a sasaeng can ruin your whole life in 1 second.
