I'm starting to watch episode 1 now. I was pleasantly surprised to see Park Ji-young (Misuk, the FL's mom in Love Next Door) here, and as usual, she's amazing. I also recognise the child actresses portraying little Darim (Kim Si-woo, she's on Dear Hyeri recently) and little Charim (the pretty Jeon Ji-a, little Baek Harin in Pyramid Game). Lastly, there was a cameo of Choi Jaeyun (little Haejun in Family By Choice) here as well. :)
I was also quite surprised to see the motel room scene in this supposedly family weekend drama, LOL.
Overall I think it's quite different from the usual KBS weekend dramas, and definitely, it looks much better than the earlier weekend drama Beauty and Mr Romantic which I dropped and couldn't finish. Let's see how it goes. :)
Isn’t anyone talking about the friendship between the two fathers??! 🫶🏻🥰
Nobody is talking about it because it's not much shown in this drama, unlike in the original Chinese drama. But let's just see how it goes in the next episodes.
Correct, the accident is yet to take place as of end of episode 2.
But then in the ep3 preview, we see her mom coming to see Sanha (with his stepsister) without crutches. So they might not use accident trope but other reason to make the mother wants to take back Sanha. Let's see next week.
If I remember correctly, in the original Chinese drama, Sanha's mom re-married and had a daughter, and moved to Singapore. The family then had a car accident, her new husband died, and she (Sanha's mom) was injured badly and had to use crutches (walking aid). So she asked Sanha to come to Singapore to take care of her and his half-sister who was still young (correct me if I'm wrong).
However, in this drama, based on the 3rd episode preview, I think they will have a different story. Let's see how it goes next week. :)
Why do I have a feeling Sanha’s mom will be back only because her new daughter might be sick and she will need…
If you don't mind spoilers:

For those expecting the "first-period" scene from the original drama, I don't think it'll be here. The time skip at the end of episode 1 / start of episode 2 is already into their high school years, and by that age, she should've already had her first period by then.
ngl i was going to skip scenes with the kids but i couldn't because they were too cute, ahhh hopefully this drama…
i am glad that you decided not to skip the scenes with the child actors. not only it's important to give background for the drama's storyline, but yeah the child actors are doing a good job, not only they're cute, they act very good as well.
I watched the first episode. Personally, I think it's okay. The first hour was adapted generally well. Some minor…
I understand what you are saying and I am disappointed as well, but for me I would still continue to watch it because my expectation from the beginning is that it won't match the original. And with a reduction from 40 episodes (or 46 episodes for the TV version) to just 16 episodes. I already expected that not only the pace will be much faster, there will be some things that will be gone as well. So I will still continue watching.
Good assessment, though, I fully agree on what you said.
Have completed watching the first two episodes and I love this drama dearly. I also have watched Go Ahead and I also like the drama very much, as long as you understand that this is just a remake, not a replica, with a shortened 16 episodes instead of the original 40 or 46 episodes, you will appreciate how good this drama is. Good writing, and spectacular acting of all the cast including the child actors, a bit fast-paced compared to the original, obviously, missed certain details, but still one of the better Korean dramas out there compared to other dramas released this year, really.

That was when she asked Sanha to come to Singapore to take care of her and his little stepsister.
I might be wrong though since it's been a while since I watched Go Ahead.
