Have completed watching episode 8. It's a bit slow-burning but I still love it.
It's obvious that Eun-ho and Hyun-oh still love each other. Miscommunication is the key issue here, as already pointed out by some commenters here. Why Hyun-oh doesn't want to marry Eun-ho only because he thinks she wouldn't be able to take care of the grannies? Has he asked her? Even if she is not an expert in taking care of elders, they can always hire a nanny to take care, right?
We haven't seen Hyeri in the past 3 episodes. Does it mean the DID is already cured? I know the last scene in episode 8 implies that Hyeri might be back again, but I guess we can only see it in the next episode. Nevertheless, I think it's about time for Ju-yeon to forget Hyeri and move on. Hyeri is not real, she's just an alter personality. It won't be possible to force the main personality of Eun-ho to like Ju-yeon as much as Hyeri likes him.
Hye-yeon is so cute. I suggest Ju-yeon go with Hye-yeon and see if they can be together. As for Eun-ho, see if she and Hyun-oh can fix the communication issue, if cannot, then move on and find another guy to marry. Maybe Ji-on? Hyun-oh then can go ahead to marry the girl who wants to be part of the big family (forgot her name).
A little but, perfect family has one of the worst Directing of kdrama history.
dropping it in the first episode is too early imho. you should try continuing to watch from second episode onwards. the best episodes were 10-11, i think. while last episode 12 was not satisfying.

i agree. the writing is also a bit all over the place. but i still enjoyed that drama though. may be because of the acting of the cast (especially the adoptive parents). but yeah i hate the ending.
We don't have many details, but Ha Bin asked her dad in the end of episode 2 if he believes it was just an accident,…
make sense, understood. if police investigation confirmed it was an accident, which means all evidence leads to as such, then why her father didn't believe her? first, he is a police officer (which means he should be aware about the evidence showing it was an accident), and second, he's the biological father of the suspect, who was still a kid.
the fact that a police officer believed that her own 9 year old daughter killed her younger brother, while all evidence shows that it was an accident, baffles me.
When Hajun (Habin's little brother) died, what was the outcome of the investigation? Did the police find out who killed him, or was it an accident? Was little Habin being investigated as the murderer, and how was the outcome? Did she escape punishment because she was a minor, or was there not enough evidence to confirm that Habin was the murderer?
In the context of Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID), when the DID is cured after undergoing successful treatment, what will happen to the alter personalities? Will they disappear completely, or will they be merged with the main personality?
Disappeared, or merged?
The answer to the above question will determine if Eun-ho and Ju-yeon can be together in the end.
Eun-ho as Hye-ri is having a great time playing dodgeball with Ju-yeon in his company's sports event. She's even getting along with Hye-yeon. I love their friendship!
I love Hye-yeon, she is a green flag. She likes Ju-yeon but she knows that Ju-yeon likes Hye-ri, so she supports their relationship.
Not too sure what will happen later if Ju-yeon finds out that Hye-ri is actually Eun-ho. I can't imagine that, hope it won't affect their beautiful friendship (and Ju-yeon's romance and affection with Hye-ri).
i kinda think they will do kinda the same thing mouse did. going back and forth with who is the killer
yes it could be, there might be plot twist :)
but if she's not the killer, then who killed the girl in the present time? and what happened in the forest in the past, who killed her younger brother and what made her dress and her hands full of blood at that time?
if there was another killer who killed her brother and almost killed her (blood stains on her dress), that would be very scary and traumatic for the little girl.
It's good and worth watching. if you like Doubt, you will like Perfect Family.
[SPOILER FOR PERFECT FAMILY AHEAD, SKIP THIS PARAGRAPH IF YOU PLAN TO WATCH, LOL]
In Perfect Family, we initially believed that the girl's (adoptive) parents were evil. However, as the story progresses with plot twists, it ends up that the adoptive parents actually loved the daughter, and it was the daughter's biological dad who was evil.
[SPOILER FOR PERFECT FAMILY ENDS]
Here in Doubt, it's the other way around, we were led to believe that the detective's daughter is a psychopath. As you have said in another comment, this might be a red herring and the plot twist might result in the daughter being innocent and someone else might be the killer.
I know right??? She clearly knows how to throw her dad off. I cannot figure out if she is traumatized and/or actually…
Nah, if she was indeed being raped, the blood won't be that much, it won't be all over her dress and it won't be on her hands. and she was still very young at that time, I think she was only 8-9 years old then, if she was indeed being raped, that would be so heartbreaking. 😭😭 I would prefer her to be a psychopath rather than a victim of sexual abuse, lol.
