It seems that Jintae really regrets his past decision, and he has remorse. If he really loves Mari, Hyun-woo/Uri and the family, why don't he just come clean?
Set up a family meeting, tell everyone the truth, and apologise to Mari and Hyun-woo/Uri -- for abandoning him 25 years ago and for switching the DNA test.
Mari might not want to forgive him at the start but with persistence asking for forgiveness, he might be able to win her back. If she can't forgive him, then just leave her. Jintae doesn't seem to be interested in Haedeul's wealth anyway, he wants them for Hyun-sung (his son).
I'm sure Hyun-woo/Uri will forgive his stepfather. He's kind.
It's much better than having to be in the current state, walking on a thin ice trying to protect the secret from being revealed.
Also, it's about time for Jintae to reveal Na Young's involvement and how cunning she is. If he really loves Hyun-sung and the whole family, he wouldn't want Na Young to "poison" the family further, he would have asked Hyun-sung to divorce her and take care of the baby himself.
If he does that, that's a great redemption arc for Jintae and I will proclaim that he would be the best character in the drama (if the above scenario happens, of course). I really liked Jintae's character in the earlier episodes of this drama.
Despite the disappointing ending:https://www.soompi.com/article/1689589wpp/perfect-family-ends-on-its-highest-ratings-yet"Perfect…
I think last episode's rating is high because of better reviews of episode 11, plus the cliffhanger due to Sunhui's actions in drugging her adoptive parents. So more people were curious and wanted to watch the final episode to see how it ends.
Sunhui only put her adoptive parents to sleep and tricked her biological dad into drinking the alcoholic drink…
After killing her biological dad, Sunhui drank something and she passed out as well. When the detectives came, everyone was either passed out or dead.
It looks like a failed suicide attempt. Sunhui tried to kill herself after killing her biological dad, but for some reason, she managed to survive and then fled to Canada to avoid her parents, since she thought that she didn't deserve to continue living with her parents and accept their love. But then she missed her parents and decided to come back. That's what I understand based on her conversation with her parents.
It was not explained why Sunhui didn't get arrested for killing her biological dad.
Sunhui only put her adoptive parents to sleep and tricked her biological dad into drinking the alcoholic drink she had poisoned. Her biological dad died quite easily.
After that, it's a 3-year time-skip and the rest of the episode is really boring. Sunhui went to Canada and then came back. Su-yeon was released from prison after serving her sentence (presumably for killing Gyeong-ho but it was not clear). Sunhui managed to convince her grandmother to come for a family photo session. That's all, a fairytale ending.
You didn't miss anything, that's what the FL did. On the reason why she did it, we don't know yet. We will only…
Ah OK, sorry for the misunderstanding. In any case, I would say that I love the drama up until episode 11, but I am actually disappointed with the final episode, to be honest.
The final episode was a letdown, to be honest. The suspense which was maintained up until the end of episode 11…
Have completed watching the whole drama. I maintain what I said that the final episode was a letdown. It's unfortunate since the drama actually started quite strong and while it's getting weaker over time, it could still maintain the suspense until the penultimate episode.
And I can't blame anyone who hates the FL, her character is still unlikeable even until the drama ends. Again it's unfortunate since the child version of the FL is so adorable.
I think no need for me to put the spoiler tag here since I didn't spoil the story, but I feel the conclusion of the drama is too weak. Many of the questions we had in the earlier episodes didn't get answered even until the drama ended.
For those of you who had dropped watching this drama halfway through and considering to continue watching again after reading the comments up to episode 11, I would suggest just dropping it. You will be disappointed with the finale.
The final episode was a letdown, to be honest. The suspense which was maintained up until the end of episode 11 went down the drain after Sunhui's biological father died very easily. After the 3-year time skip, I lost my interest to continue watching already.
But I would still watch and see how it ends... let's see....
Very hard to watch. And I think the scenes are too explicit for my taste.
- The scenes when Min-su is being beaten non-stop by the teacher, not only in one scene but multiple scenes. - The scene when the headmaster forced himself on one of the girls (can't remember her name, is it Yeon-du?) in the toilet. The headmaster removing the girl's pants and underwear is almost explicitly shown, also when the headmaster removed his own pants and underwear. The girl's face is shown crying nonstop. - The hardest scene to watch would be when Min-su's little brother (very little, I think he's only 5 or 6 years old) is being sexually abused by the gay male teacher in the bathroom. He was naked in a bathtub under the pretext of bathing him, the teacher's hands all over his body. The boy's naked body including the buttocks area is shown.
I stopped watching halfway.
I know this is a very old movie (2011), the child actors are grown up now, but are the producer/director/writer actually allowed to shoot such explicit scenes with the child actors?
Yoo the comment.. I dropped at 7 but I'm curious please someone spoil me the end and does FL have a mental problem?…
We don't know the answers to your questions as of the end of episode 11. The answers of your questions most likely be in the final episode airing tonight.
Tbh I love the fact that the mother accepted Sun Hui as the child that her son saved and not the daughter of their…
Yes yes yes. Seeing Eun-joo kept on visiting the orphanage to see little Sun-hui, even asking little Su-yeon to befriend her since she seemed to be very lonely and sad, and also when Eun-joo asked her to come and hug her... my tears fell...
And then the end of episode 11 turned me upside down, lol lol.
I know we didn't get to see much of SH but I ended up liking him and it was sad to see him have such a horrible…
Both are SHs lol.
But yes, I agree with you on Sang-Ho. I love him and his interaction with little Sun-hui very much. Sang-ho didn't deserve to die, both Sang-ho and Sun-hui should have been happy found (or even step-) siblings.
WTH? Did I miss something here. What just happened with the FL. My eyes are rolling right now.
You didn't miss anything, that's what the FL did. On the reason why she did it, we don't know yet. We will only find out later in the final episode. I am sure there will be more twists to the plot.
So the shooting has been concluded? Confirmed it'll be extended to 128 episodes?
What he really wants is the permission from Doo-ri's mom and the Madangjib family.

"Perfect Family" Ends On Its Highest Ratings Yet

Agree that a lot of questions remain unanswered.

I really hate Sun-hui's bio dad, very very much!
