Probably not. Samshin or Sanshin is a more canon deity in korean folk culture meaning “mountain god” which…
Yes. Magoshin is not like a Samshin which is a benevolent spirit that rules a defined realm as its guardian deity and is definitely a revered entity in the region's community. She is just instead a character based on the divine entities that are more mysterious in nature that make things complicated in the world, and are associated with concepts like destiny. With her manifesting with the tree and the hotel as if like a haunting spirit, she's rather like Loki, a deity associated with trickery and entanglement. So definitely an inspired character by the writer.
Is Mago Shin from Hotel del Luna and Samshin from Goblin the same deity or are these different deities in Korean…
Probably not. Samshin or Sanshin is a more canon deity in korean folk culture meaning “mountain god” which has territorial authority like a Yaksha demigod, and is also present as a character in fantasy kdramas like a Korean Odyssey, my roommate is a gumiho, and even Tale of the nine tailed. There’s one even in lovers of the red sky. Magoshin seems more like a deity specific to hotel del luna’s plotline though as if they were same the writer would have just called her a Sanshin,
Th production team might be very competent and efficient if they’re still shooting the drama while it’s airing and are able to complete the episode editing from the scenes shots along with the CGI of whales and dolphins flying out in the scenes, within such small time.
Minwoo and junho arent real friends bcs why tf he keeps continue what he was planning to do after he heard youngwoo…
It’s something that was misunderstood because of the subtitles. Choi sooyeon first said yongwoo is away as she went out with suho, minwoo then asks why are they together so late, then sooyeon says you’re his roommate still you’re unaware? Then sooyeon says something like actually….. “they’ve been spending time together” or “they’ve been meeting up” which is indirect way of saying they’re dating but can also be understood as just two persons meeting up, a kind of a pun in Korean. Minwoo being preoccupied with his thoughts didn’t catch the indirect meaning there, maybe like they’re meeting up for work related thing. He’ll most probably understand that in upcoming episode/s
JinMu’s character as a shrewd conspirator has such a flair! His action scenes in ep12 just raised his charm. The writer/director and respective actors have also played so well on showing adorable sides of ParkJin and the Crown Prince characters consistently in the series, it’s a treat.
