I noticed fans of less popular actors always do this. This usually ended up making their fave actors in non-favorable light tbh. I also doesn't understand this mentality.

Again, that is your opinion. Your are entitled for that while I wholeheartedly disagree. I thought he is one actors who is very good with microexpressions which cut deep into your heart. I have been watching dramas for years. I know a good actor when I see one. You can disagree.

I wont call an actor limited when he is known of playing different type of roles from cold, aloof,manipulating, cruel to bubbly and happy go lucky to socially awkward to naive and shy. I find him very versatile and with range tbh. Again, you can disagree.

And this is where you are wrong. Ren Jialun has been side-lined by his agency since 2019. That is why his fans are waiting for him to leave H&R and counting the days for it. Even in Under the Power, there is BTS of him doing his own makeup and if you check the marketing for Under the Power, its only less than hundred compared to thousand normal dramas will get. He has been taking outside dramas for years. He only comeback for Phoenix Stage since H&R forces him to take another 2 dramas before he leaves to promote their 2 new actresses that joined the company.

Then talking about the negative hot searches or smearing campaign he received last year, instead of the company defending him, he has to take outside lawyer for that. And now the list has come out of all the accounts that smear his name and he is bringing them to court, 2 of them are professional blacks which lead back to his company. Yang Zi also faced the same fate when she tried to H&R 2 years ago.

That is why I refrain from saying anything negative about another actor since you dont know the struggles they face. You said about Ren Jialun and marketing and back up, he probably only got that for Glory of Tang Dynasty which is like 8 years ago. He got lucky that Under the Power blew up and all production companies wanting him in their production which lead to the success of his other dramas after that.

Yeah, thats your opinion which I and many people disagree. Ren Jialun has this subtle kind of acting that is so restrained yet conveyed lots of emotion. That is why his he is effective in roles like Zhousheng Chen in One & Only. The character cant really do anything to show his love and affection towards his love interest yet the drama is a prime example of masterful acting that show so much despite not really able to show anything. Thats the testament of his acting talents.

Or his earlier mute role in The Blue Whisper where he got nothing in the script since he cant talk where he has to rely on his facial expressions and body language. It was another amazing portrayal, from naive to jaded in the 2nd part of the drama.

Then if we take another earlier example where he is playing ruthless and merciless Luyi in Under the Power, despite his baby face, he was effective in that role while he is torturing the prisoner in the opening scene. He nailed that terrifying part and the drama is a big hit at China. Contrasting to his docile and awkward portrayal in Forever & Ever, you will get a whiplash since its so different.

I get it, you are a Jeremy fan and only see from your perspective. But Ren Jialun has a lot on his resume, playing different characters to show that he is actually a good actor.

There is a lot of these kind of toxic fans. And like I said, just ignore them since its ridiculous. They are only a little in a sea of people who actually enjoy watching the drama without actually clocking in the minutes he has in each episodes.

He is not though. You dont have to elevate him by bringing down the other actors down. It makes people attack him instead of the other way around.

From what I read, its his toxic 'fans' who requested for him to get more screen times and make a big deal out of it. There will always be such fans in all Cdramas. My advise, is just to ignore them. What are the plot holes? There is no plot holes so far. Everything is explained really well or you just have to be clever enough to understand the plot.

He wasnt mindless lovebrain in here though. He used the FL throughout the drama for his political advantage and with this good guy acts. I love it! It certainly better than his other lead roles. I understand now why he decided to act as a 2nd lead here. They cant cast someone with mediocre ability to play this complicated role so they need someone with more caliber. I think so far, he has been getting good reviews for his role in this drama.

His evil character hits different since its different kind of twisted. He got everything that he wants including Shiyi at the end. Yet, it is still not enough for him that he did what he did SMH

Love of Nirvana seemed to be slated to air on September 14th. I really have good feeling about this drama. All the trailers released have been so amazing.

And with Song Zu'er being cleared of her Tax Evasion accusations, I guess we will see Demon Hunter's Romance soon too as well. Cant wait! Been wanting to watch this since forever.

Its a false rumour spread by YXH accounts. He never have that in his contract. You can see him in many kissing scenes in both Glory of Tang Dynasty & The Blue Whisper.

Yes, too subtle but once you noticed everything, it gives the biggest impact.

For me, it did better than One & Only somehow. One & Only is poignant and very beautiful but Forever & Ever has so many scenes that are so subtle but gives you the biggest impacts with the way they show their love towards each other. Their devotion, trust and understanding are so beautifully portrayed.

Then the drama is successful since thats the theme of the story how she sees his beautiful bones and still recognize him despite he is now has a different personality.

But the way he carried himself and his love speaks thousand of words. The substance that his character has shines over this 'bland' personality that he has.

The drama was a hit at China in 2021 since everyone wants him as their husband.

I'm obsessed with this drama. Their love are so so beautiful. Zhousheng Chen is my ultimate dream guy. ❤️❤️ His love really stands out with the way he treats Shiyi and always makes her the priority.

This drama really heals me from the heartbreak that is One & Only.

This is actually one of the most praised Ren Jialun's performance out of all his dramas. The microexpressions that he gave are so subtle yet give you the greatest impacts on how he's feeling inside. I was in awe. I still think this is best performance to date.
