#This episode felt even more like filler other than the final scene. If it’s anything to go by, Joey will console Jimmy and their relationship will progress.
#I don’t know what to think about Wil. He says he wants Joey to be happy, but he manipulates his way to make sure that Joey doesn’t get the student assistant job, even when he knows that it will make life harder for Joey. That got me thinking that Wil and Kenji must have some sort of pre existing relationship, because it can’t be out of jealousy that he doesn’t want Joey getting the job, otherwise he never would have suggested that Joey talk to Nuan after he rejected his confession.
Despite the episode feeling like filler, I still have hopes for this series. The story is very interesting and the acting is good. Let’s see how this goes.
#My concerns about the series being too long are resurfacing because this part felt mostly like filler.
#Nuan didn’t deserve to be done dirty like that.
#The conversations between the characters took a major part of the episode and while there may have been some clues about major issues in the future, nothing substantial about the story was revealed.
#The “uwu” factor was high this part.
This part was alright but the story did not move forward in any way. Hope the next part has more substance than this one did.
Also, is it just me or did anyone else feel a little pang of sadness for Jimmy when he walked in on Joey and Wil holding hands? I think it’s safe to say I’m team JoJimmy now.
The story so far is very clear, the acting has improved and the cinematography is absolutely breathtaking, but what I was most surprised by was how fast my heart was beating every time Sky and Ace just so much as looked at each other. The thing about me is I enjoy every type of BL, but it takes genuine chemistry to make me feel this way.
Now for my thoughts on the episode.
All through episode 4 you can see that Ace is avoiding Sky, which at first I thought was just bad acting, but later it’s evident that it’s because he’s developing feelings, and after that final scene, you can clearly see, he’s fallen. I was contemplating the purpose of this episode because in the beginning it seemed to be going nowhere, but by the end it was clear, this was “The” episode. You know, that episode after which we get to see their relationship actually progress and by the looks of the trailer for the fifth episode, it definitely will. The drive-thru scene and the scenes with the chef felt wholly out of place, but then I realised that in both those scenarios Sky and Ace were mistaken for a couple and that’s when it dawned on me that this entire episode was just a set up to show that Ace had indeed fallen for Sky.
I’m sorry about the long rant, I just had to get these thoughts out. I am beginning to love this series and I have a genuine feeling that the story and acting from here on out are going to be amazing :)
Who’s the girl Wil wants to find?
Why does it feel like Wil is being set up for a villain storyline?
What was the note Wil gave Joey?
How the hell is that girl six months pregnant already?
At this point I don’t know what to feel about this series. The production value has obviously been improved, but the story has gotten only more confusing as we move ahead. I have some major qualms about this sudden change in the behaviour of the characters, like Jimmy being nice to Joey, and Wil trying to manipulate his way into Joey’s heart, but if it has been six months since Princess told Jimmy she was pregnant, that would answer my final question and make the change in character more believable. The series though, has done nothing to show that six months have passed by and thus my barrage of questions.
I’m sorry about the rant, I just had to get it out of my system. If anyone has the answer to my questions, feel free to comment. Thank You :)
