Thank you so much for sharing! I’ve listened to almost half now and they chat away so nicely about details we even forgot.
The fact that people took time to make this podcast is for me evidence that this show is so meaningful. We know, we know others know and I don’t care anymore about how many people don’t want to know. What I think happened is that this show features as xianxia but the story and message is so atypical for xianxia lovers, that they don’t like it. I can almost relate to it, as why would you look for a message like “embrace your dark side to become whole as a person” in a fantasy story. Perhaps too unexpected for some. Out of place. Tant pis as they say in French.
Minutes 36 to 39+ , episode 24. I am crying buckets. Also from relief for how beautiful this is. No violence. No angst. No sensation seeking. Just human emotions. Call me a crybaby.
Ok dear all I arrived at episode 24 once again and realised that our complaint that Wenren didn’t get enough attention might be naught: it is exactly the Wenren section that fills so many aspects in the sensitivity and sensibility side of the story I am in awe at how Wenren deals with the fact that she did cheat on him with the earring thingy. The maturity of his realisation of what is more important is so a point!
He is the one who covers leg bare legs during the tv show and sorts our her bangs so she looks pretty.
Kind of insane how they are so addictive. Everything I want it see in a healthy mature relationship between people Is right there.
