This is one of the major things I love about this drama. Not a stone faced ceo & a door mat assistant trope. & the ceo can’t save his distressed fl all the time.
I love how natural this drama feels. From the tiny details like ML wearing id card in his office (which most ceos in dramas don’t do) & to how he can’t control everything or change things in a minute even though he’s the president of the hospital. As for the FL, I have always admired Liang Jie’ s acting & she’s doing a great job. I felt her tears in ep 9.
I saw a few comments talking about how she should be a doctor not an assistant. It’s true, that part irked me at first too. But, doctors are not just for saving lives. Don’t get me wrong. Doctors research and assist too. What she is doing might not be a medical assistance but at least she’s not being threatened into being an obidient assistant by the ceo who makes her miserable in the name of loving her like many other stupid drama tropes. The ML is treating her with respect and I genuinely like their interactions.
If she’s in the dept, she’s not going to get shifts anytime soon. Instead of assisting that useless Huang, she can assist the president & in turn get her shifts (& get back to being a doc soon). I saw some clips of her being a doc again so I’m sure she’ll go back to being a doc soon. Yes, like someone said she look for another job… but she just came back from the village, even if she wants another job, she needs time for job hunting & also needs money in the mean time. So, I think the drama is going in a nice direction. I hope it stays great and it doesn’t get ruined. This drama is truly healing till now ❤️🩹
I’m in love with the ML & how beautifully Joseph Zeng fits into the character. His expressions & attitude, everything is such an instant mood lifter ❤️❤️

loving this drama so far but it felt bad when I heard "this is pink, it's a girl's bike" from the FL in the early episodes. like girl, it doesn't matter whether it's china or any other country, it's the 21st century already, please stop. As long as the scriptwriters or directors don't change their mindset, we're gonna get shitty sexist lines like this all the time. This is lowkey why I usually only watch historical dramas cause i know they were patriarchal but i just can't accept it in modern dramas.

i just started watching the drama. In ep 2, the lunch scene with her ex-crush & so-called bad excuse for a best friend was awkward with ren chu but damn i just jumped in joy when ren chu carried wanwan saying "don't look at it if you don't like it" & just cut those annoying ppl in the middle saying "excuse me" like a boss aaahhhhh. man, this drama might have some slight flaws but this scene won my freaking heart ajkshikdnsjfnbk 💘
In ep 14, yang hua couldn't fight the hooligan to save tao but in the ep 18 preview, he broke the damn glass when tao did something to qin shi. he's so tensed when it comes to qin shi, I have never seen him get angry like this in any earlier episodes or previews. he went totally out of his calm character for his woman 🥺
