Ep 10, 3rd case forming, so now the five of them are connected through telepathy or relics connection…interesting.
Yes, there's supposed to be already explanation with that, since they already called the "phoenix squad" and Shen Gun (the old guy with fried chicken) found the connection why they can see the visions based from the 1st relic case and from his research. In the novel there's a divine punishment for the people who are controlled by the relics, like leg/foot amputation after they died (I think they didn't include this for censorship). Since they've seen the phoenix vision, they already has the phoenix power/representation: Luo ren - metal, Mu dai - wood, Cao Yanwa (the chubby one) - earth, Yiwasan (ARP) - water, and Hongsha - fire. So, the Phoenixes are the guardian of the relics, and after the squad solve the 1st one, the obligation went to them (like they are going to be the one who will punish and collect the relics). That's why they have the connection on it
You're right sis... ahhh I'm excited for more of her appearance
Hahahaha... I already mentioned it in my past comment, and the answer is YES. But hoping for more justifiable and satisfying ending here on the adaptation

Amm... they follow the sequence. Also there are similar dialogues and scenes. But in the 2nd relic they're supposed to be fighting the clam in the lake (like with water) maybe they don't do it cause it cost them more (with boats and yatch, then a lot of drowning to be involve). Then the Chief in Yiwasan's (ARP) village is already dead, there's no redemption for him or asking Yiwasan to forgive him. Here atleast they give Yiwasan more peace after saying goodbye to his village and facing the chief than bringing a bit of guilt destroying the livelihood of his village
In the novel, Mu Dai is 24 and Lou Ren is 28. then Yi Wasan (ARP) and Cao Yanhua is in their mid 20's or late…
For Mu dai, her personalities are triggered due to her teenage trauma ... she was hurt and cannot face it so she decided to let another identities to take control. And the MCs will suffers because of relics since it's connected to them. Lastly, there's romance but not the focus of the story . Don't want to include more spoilers here, but hope you get it😅
until ep 6 they are able to see mystical characters and touch them..they can see lightning through the teared…
hahaha, well she master weightless fighting like she'll use her speed and light weight when she fight since she can't outnumber their strength and force. that's why in the book they will always define her climbing skills like a "gecko"
I don't feel good about Ruipeng's character.. that's the cunningly dumb typa character..
Actually, he's quite smart, or street smart. Cause he's been a con artist for a while before he works on the bar/his current job. And he's the only one in the group that doesn't know how to fight so he just use his brain when he encounter a difficult situation
In the novel, Mu Dai is 24 and Lou Ren is 28. then Yi Wasan (ARP) and Cao Yanhua is in their mid 20's or late…
So far the casts' acting is quite accurate... especially on Mu Dai cause she has DID and her dominant identity really cries a lot... and the comedic timing of the cast in a serious situation is really great
the relics task is to spread crimes according to the Chinese character mark they represent, like the first one...its "knife" or "blade". Also, they have the power to overcome the goodness of something they posses and turn them into evil (like breaking the balance of yin and yang)
In the novel, Mu Dai is 24 and Lou Ren is 28. then Yi Wasan (ARP) and Cao Yanhua is in their mid 20's or late…
😅 actually, I just finish it yesterday. and its a little bit underwhelming and overwhelmed at the same time... idk if they're going to follow the direction of the novel but there's a little bit "open ending" and subtly telling us that they live. hoping they'll give us more justice to the ending since the MCs suffers a lot...
So, do we even know how old these leads are supposed to be? Because I’m picturing them in their twenties—old…
In the novel, Mu Dai is 24 and Lou Ren is 28. then Yi Wasan (ARP) and Cao Yanhua is in their mid 20's or late 20's. Lastly, Yan Hongsha is 22 (the girl to be introduce in the next ep).
I finished episode 3 and thinking of dropping... the suspense was not working for me... should I just watch on…
I think the issue is they've given a limited time where they can't showcase precisely the sequence like how the novel do it (imagine they need to cover all the 217 chapters to 32 episodes). But some of the scenes will make sense in the later episodes... just remember there's a connection on everything
