Which goes back to my point, YZM did not lie, he just omits bits and pieces from the truth. He just shows how savvy he is and how skilled he is to manipulate a situation. Take the ‘kickback’ situation between Deshan and Dennis, where MCH was the Fall girl and the confrontation between him and MCH after.

Nope, it is not the grandma’s persona to do things out of pity. The grandma has seen how MCH has both insight on how to improve running a hospitality business is and empathy to the workers. She and MCH share the same moral, ethical values, as opposed to her grandson.

Again, YZM did not lie because he did not answer the question. He deflected it, knowing that grandma trusts MCH wholeheartedly.

YZM did not lie, but what he committed is the ‘sin of omission’. He did not fully disclose why he really came back which is to convince his grandma to give him ‘management rights’ to run the hotel, so he can incorporate it with Yueda, thus get a promotion.

YZM ‘schemed’ his way back to be close to his Grandma for the hotel. He was not by her side most of the time and was not truthful from the start. Blood ties do not assure of inheritance, it is always the choice of the maker of the will to whom she would leave her worldly possessions. The last will and testament can always be contested by relations, but as long as the lawyers prove that the person who made the will was of sound mind at the time the will was made, it cannot be reversed.

I started My Special Girl while still watching Different Princess. I’ve been watching Song Yiren’s shows for a couple of years now. Maybe she gets bashed by trolls because she does not meet the cultural standards of beauty for some, but I find her acting and singing abilities very refreshing and I enjoy the way she portrays her roles. There are some c-ent actresses that are more beauty than acting prowess, but then, to each his own.

The FL roomie, PanPan is a perfect example of a 2-faced biatch. She knows that Hao Liang likes her boss,Gu Jui Li. She even instigated sending the gift (with peanuts) on her behalf. From how today’s episodes ended, she is obviously pursuing the ML. With her as a friend, who needs enemies? The upcoming teasers do not redeem that 3rd FL reputation. I hope that there is a redeeming arc in the story for her, as trailers seem to show she is the love interest of the male best friend of FL.

My personal favorite is ‘Professional Single’. One of the better ensemble casting. You can catch it in Viki or in other Asian platforms like YOUKU.

Yeah, Jun’s was dubbed according to many fans. WinWin looks like he did it himself, but I’m trying to check postings. In general, Idols breaking out into acting are not so bad. The competition is so fierce that their training is even more rigorous than other types of professional work. Have you watched Imitation K-drama? That one has a lot of both male, female K-Pop idols. It captured how grueling and oftentimes unfair their lives are. It’s quite good. The ML is another Jun 😉. Is My Lovely Liar good?

Have you watched Exclusive Fairy Tale? I binged watched this show as well and loved ❤️ it too. I am biased for shows where the MLs respect and like the FLs from the start (fall first) , and then the FLs fell harder. 🤭

I’m loving this so far ❤️. Considering that this c-drama does not have big name leads, I think this might be underrated by most. Acting by the leads was on point, not over the top nor lame. Even the second couple, I find them cute and not irritating. The male lead, although still a newbie in acting, is delivering quite well. I like the female lead and I’m glad she got this role over other usual go-to female lead choices.

Possibly work-related. Wasn’t she working in Guanchao with the obsessed boss Qi Rang previously? Maybe this was around the time she resigned from work due to continued sexual harassment from her then-boss.

She is not the villain. That is the mistress of the Guanchao head obsessed with FL. The dancer is the typical spoiled woman-child, sugar-coated with sweetness, that can get away with her actions. Her intentions are not bad, neither is she a dark character, but very kind and well-meaning might be a bit of a stretch. IMO, the series could be 1-2 episodes tighter without this pairing sub-plot.

The girl is cunning and does what she needs to do to get what she wants. I particularly do not like what she did in Episode 6, using her father’s position and influence to ‘trap’ the doctor. She even asked for his WeChat in front of her father so he cannot decline, which he already did in an earlier episode. If genders were reversed, everything she has been doing so far can be considered harassment. The doctor has no choice but to tolerate her antics, now knowing that she is the daughter of a respected colleague that can impact his career prospects. Not cool.

The story arc of the doctor and the dancer brat is really tiring. I just fast forward. Thank God for streaming! Was that sub-plot in the original story? You can carve it out entirely and does not impact the story whatsoever. It would have been more appropriate if it were a work colleague (doctor) or something. A bit more mature and not attempting to be cute. I think most C-Dramas try to formulate a 2 or 3-pair love arc in order to lengthen (more episodes) in the series.

The FL is not over reacting. She is a mother who raised her child alone for 4 years and she sees documentary evidence that the ML is going to sue her for full custody of the child. He cannot even deny that the litigation is not real, because it is. He had full intent at the start to do so and his strategy as suggested by the assistant is to ingratiate himself to the child so ML can gain the child’s trust which will benefit his case. Child custody cases are no joke and can get very nasty. Unless, you have your own child and face the threat of losing your child, the situation appears trivial.
