In the novel, their relationship is never this toxic. Ramil is just very much possessive about Paytai, but Paytai has Ramil wrapped around his finger. Khanin at some point teases Ramil saying that only he is in love with Paytai, but it is not evident if he also likes him back. This unsettles Ramil, and he asks Paytai whether he likes anyone. Paytai answers that he has stopped thinking about love since he decided to be only his. In the end, Ramil is seen fondly taking care of a sick Paytai, and it is hinted that they are moving towards a 'regular' relationship.

Yes, in this series we have to guess that Ramil is not so bad. In the novel it is pretty evident that although he may come off as arrogant and stand-offish, he is a decent human being.

Exactly, along with other things, lack of Ramil Khanin interaction further paints Ramil in a bad way. Also, if ‘Ramen’ is not talking to the others and is still so arrogant and stiff, I don’t know how they are going to develop the latter part where all of them plan and work together against the culprit.

Noooo..... Also, in the novel, sometimes Ramil calls Paytai by just 'Tai'. It's so cute, but we can't see that in the series.

Rachata doesn't seem too worried about the attack on his son's life. He just wants to use this as a political advantage.

Our prince Ramil has a very little brain. I was almost sure that on top of getting shot, Paytai is going to get whipped for Ramil's adventure.

Although I do agree that Ramil, and especially Paytai, are much more interesting in the novel, I won't say that Ramil is completely pointless here. Maybe the makers are trying to give a different angle to their relationship, where both of them are more broken. In fact, I personally like the novel version of them more, but I am eager to see how this evolves here.

But, also in the book, Rachata never beat him like this. He was not the whipping boy. Once he threw a book at Paytai, which got his lips cut, and Ramil went and threatened his father.

I really don't think he can just get away with it though. Also, are we sure it was him who sent the goons in London? There have only been speculations, also regarding the attack in front of the club. But definitely he can kill him, and has the mindset to obliterate any obstacle from his path by whichever means.

Yes, specially some characters behave differently.

My expectation was that Ramil will be wearing the blindfold for a longer time.
