Oh yeah, he has his haters. Originally Wonderland of Love had like, an 8.7 or 8.8 rating but it lowered once the haters started downvoting even with unaired episodes, lol. It got back up later once more people liked the drama to its current state right now.

His other dramas also suspiciously went down one rating simultaneously when that was occurring. Ancient Love Poetry was at 8.6 then went to 8.5. Similarly with Falling Into Your Smile.

It's really ridiculous to be honest. But I blame MDL for not locking in episodes from ratings until it's released.

I didn't expect Zhao Lusi got it worse. It's unfortunate but you guys might have to wait until later for improved rating :/.

I thought Xu Kai was bad with his haters downvoting his dramas, but the Zhao Lusi haters are on another pathetic level. Good lawd they have no life. They hate seeing successful people continuing to succeed despite their efforts, it's so funny.

Yes, Tian Qi is a True God, lol, although since Bai Jue practically kicked his butt but didn't kill him, he's kind of recovering throughout the drama and isn't in his True God form for most of it unfortunately. Him and the other True God (the oldest), Zhi Yang, are fine.

All the four True Gods are alive by the end of ALP basically even though Bai Jue was dead for 500 years, lol.

I won't spoil it, but it's not a bad ending if you're asking on their status :P.

The 5th is a bit complicated because the Creater God creates a True God to be the God of Chaos; having both immortal and demon essence. For example, Tian Qi [one of the True Gods] only has demon essence, and Bai Jue [ML's dad] has immortal only. The Chaos God eventually has to sacrifice themselves to maintain balance of the world/nature. I don't recall the specifics but it's called the Chaos Tribulation. The 5th one refused to be a sacrificial lamb and turned on the Creator/the God Realm. So the Creator went and made another Chaos God for the role to take care of it, and this is the ML's mother. Bai Jue and the other True Gods didn't know this (they just think the 5th turned evil and dipped), and by the time she had to sacrifice, he (and they) found out. Bai Jue tried to stop it since he had fallen in love with her by then and it goes off from there.

I call him the 5th since he turned and isn't with the others anymore as a group (he's still alive for a while in the beginning eps), but he was the first Chaos God before ML's mama was born.

I love Bai Jue to death, but he has his own set of issues. He got the noble idiocy ball hard.

They're not King and Queen. The most powerful Gods are called True Gods, and they are directly born/created by the Creator in their universe (if you know the God of religion, think of it similar to that). There are only four True Gods (and technically there was a 5th but there's a backstory with that, in which I suggest you see Ancient Love Poetry).

Then there are Gods below them.

The father and mother of the ML here in particular, while not royalty or with royal titles, are basically the two most powerful of the four True Gods mentioned. His dad in particular is rather badass. He's the God of Fire and War.

Tbh, Xu Kai will probably even do that cameo for free. He's that kind of guy. And he loves his character.

It's crazy how fans find his lack of concern and care for traffic (and lackadaisical behavior of not retaliating when networks, his company, or c-netz screw him over) as a good thing because it builds up the whole special "he's not like the others, he wants to be a true actor~" in their heads. Getting attention is NEVER a bad thing. And he doesn't have to do so negatively.

Not that he's doing bad on his own. He's actually one of the most recognizable faces of C-actors and even his dramas with bad scripts get decent to moderate succes (or more) due to his presence. He also gets a load of brand deals, so they know the bag he brings. Nonetheless, he has to be more assertive in his career. He's been in the business long enough where he should be higher than where he is right now.

Hopefully with the positive, good reception thanks to WoL, he can ride on that momentum. But his next drama has to be good to cement the status, so here's hoping for the best.

She uses his feelings in terms of silly one-upping him at stuff, lol, but don't worry, her feelings are very genuine. It may not seem like it because she's more of the realist between the two.

This drama actually came first, then the novel began to get published after.

No doubt it's the insecure Bai Lu gang. They have this warped obsession with Xu Kai. They don't want him to succeed more than their wittle queen.

Different folks frequent there. MDL is more, uh, idol-ish.

They have conflicts of interest concerning politics and the FL might come off pushy or unreasonable at times since she's more fierce about where she stands, but otherwise, no unnecessary melodrama and noble idiocy and all that jazz. They resolve issues that show in the relationship fairly quickly. Give it a go!

Then write a review. At least when you have time. Nothing wrong with that if you've finished it.

All of that and more. They wouldn't want him as a current or future headache that will cause disruption to their path of power (he's smart). The court respects him due to his achievements and he has a favorable reputation overall. He's a royal.
