I watched it on Netflix and actually had to rewatch certain parts to understand the politics and all the schemes and intrigues going on. It’s quite unlike some lighter easy watch dramas where I leave it on as background nois

It doesn’t bother me at all. I love the drama reminds me of the rise of the Phoenix and Chen kun and Ning Ning were older too. Perhaps the people who are dropping the dramas are doing for other reasons. After all there are so many dramas to choose from, fair enough :)

I just started love and redemption. There is so much heartache and suffering in that series but still lovingSi Feng and his amazing acting! LOF is a lot more light hearted in my opinion but still enjoyable. Actually I am really enjoying rebel princess too

Yes, I agree. You can’t compare this to a high quality series like Ever Night or something although they might be different genre?
But I still enjoy it as it is light hearted and fun!

I have to say I didn’t notice the heavy makeup until some people brought it up here. But I do agree, she probably doesn’t need it as she looks really good in Ming lan with just standard makeup. It’s not my favourite series for sure but somehow I am still clicking and waiting for next episode! Strange haha!
