I came here after seeing so many comments mentioning this as a good drama in the ITSAY thread and I have to say I am not disappointed at all. Although not as strong as ITSAY (I'm sorry it's going to be very hard to beat ITSAY), this is a pretty good story too. So far I'm loving this and kinda disappointed they pushed finale back but still I'll be tuning to it on Friday for sure.
Honestly I feel like if they continue this momentum, Philippines is going to give Thailand a run for their BL dominance.
Well I see many commenting on his directing and are confused between the two .
Basically my input is he's human. he can have good work and bad work. You cannot blame him for all. For example UWMA and LBC are among the top in fan favorites for BL drama. Yes it had a lot to do with a solid script too but they could have muddled that up too, yet he did an awesome job. Then again he had some screwups like LBC2. I mean everyone can have hits and misses and that's normal.
But what I truly appreciate when it comes to P'New is how considerate he is with the actors. He seems to be one who's really liked by those who have worked with him. Wabi Sabi whatever said and done has talented people. His genre maybe leaning more towards fluff and cute but that's his style. Personally I'm more of the Nadao style when it comes to dramas but Wabi Sabi have produced some of the cutest BLs out there.
So don't overanalyze everything (tbh I feel like I've done it too though XD) Just enjoy his good work and skip over ones you don't like :)
Seems that many people praise this and I hope that it lives up to its hype. Two more days until I start it...
Like the comment before me, I'd like to say, that you would not regret it at all. It's a masterpiece of a show. Even the smallest detail is well thought of. They've put in so much of effort to it. The story is of coming-of-age. Something we can all relate to despite our sexual orientation. Yes, it does incorporate finding your identity too but the way everything is portrayed you can feel the raw emotions. The main reason this is getting so much recognition is the relatability too. How we can lose our minds in the process of falling in love.
Another underlying aspect that alot seems to ignore is the familial bonds. It was pretty strong in Ep 4. Aew's family accepting him no matter what. Also the most underrated character, Teh's brother. People tend to overlook him but I feel like he's a crucial part of when Teh comes to term with himself.
Sorry I feel like I'm going off topic. But give it a try. Not for the genre but for the beautiful interpretation of emotions that we all go through.
Um is he gay in his real life or not? I'm just curious ??? ???
Aren't we all? XD
There is even a ghost ship between him and P'New the director XD. But who knows? None of them have confirmed their sexual orientation. They could be just friends too :)
So there's a small theory that it is based slightly on PP and Billkin themselves cuz the story was specifically written while incorporating their characteristics into the story and the conspiracy theory is it's the story of PP and Billkin. What if it's based on the story of P'Boss our dear director and it's his way of portraying his love story?
Sorry for the random insert. So many theories have fried off some of my brain cells I think XD
You’re telling me I have to suffer another 7 days? I’m going to die. My heart cannot handle this. The drama captured the true essence of discovering oneself and the true meaning of coming-of-age.
I’m literally ugly sobbing right now while typing this even.
I would highly recommend "New Journey to the West". Short episodes with an amazingly witty and funny cast and the spin-offs are hilarious. Na PD's variety shows tend to hit the right spot in hilarity.
gaya sa pelikula has the most cohesive strong plot and execution here (it reminds me so much of skam france s3)…
Try "I told the sunset about you" also if you love Gaya Sa Pelikula. You'll definitely love it too. It's a great coming of age story. Not just as BL but overall it's a well produced and top notch drama.
He said it was based on some real life experiences but I don't know if it's specifically BKPP or a mix of BKPP,…
Oh yes. All of these rumors I've heard before. Honestly though, seeing their interactions it's really hard to see them as just friends too XD Then again as LazySubber says, we have to ship "at our own risk".
You are right though. There are so many hints pointing to a sad ending. It's just my heart does not want to bear another parting of these too. Are we only going to get sad endings always from this pairing? :'(
Wait a minute. This maybe a very long stretch though. I'm literally snatching straws here to get a happy ending theory but didn't the director say this series is somewhat based on them? Recently I read an interview that the two of them met when they were preparing for their university admission? Then didn't one of them move to Nadao? I feel like I am just making up theories at this point though XD
I'm really unclear on these details, if someone does have clarified information please let me know.
If we go by this a rough plotline does stand out...falling for someone then getting parted now here we know after…
No no no nooooooooooooooooo. I hate this. I mean we knew from the start we are going to get our hearts broken but reading this is making it clear that we will actually get a sad ending. Hate (and love) you Nadao for making me fall in love with this drama and making my heart break into so many pieces.
It's worth the watch. Honestly. Everything here is top-notch. Acting, plot, OST. You will not regret it and it has only 5 episodes so there's like zero dragging. For me personally I can't take my eyes away from the screen for even a second when watching this.
Honestly I'm tuning in for this only for RamKing. I hope they give us a good show with some feel good scenes between them but I'm scared after reading some comments :(
