RamKing saved this series, without them, this would have honestly sucked so bad :(
Also I was hoping I won't get much annoyed by the dub after a while but until the last episode I was pretty annoyed by it. I won't mind if they only concentrate on RamKing's story in the next season.
I'm on an internal battle between just waiting until next episode or hurt myself watching the trailer for clues…
I re-watch the trailer each time I finish an episode (who am I kidding, almost everyday) hoping for new clues. I just get heartbroken each time cuz the trailer literally gives only sad vibes :'(
Have you watched Side By Side from the same director?
Agreed. it was kinda sad that "In Family We Trust" didn't get good ratings locally. It was a well written revenge, mystery drama with a solid cast even. It has good rating on MDL at least.
I feel the aspect of the "promise" will have a significance later on and from the lyrics of the song and the clouds…
I don't think death is in works here. That'll just make this another cliche drama and this drama as proved us that this anything but that. Although the sad ending maybe true. I agree with you that Teh would be too late to see the immensity of his feelings for Aew. For now he must be thinking it's just a passing feeling even. Also having Tharn on the side makes him even more confused. I feel like she'll be decisive factor for the heartbreak. At least from the trailer it looked like it.
Personally I feel like only one of them will make it Bangkok while the other stays back and than as per the promise they made in episode 3, the one left behind will most probably do the run alone (rather than together) and ultimately it'll end with him only telling his feelings to the sunset.
Despite my theories I truly truly with my whole heart hope it's proven wrong :'( I want them to end together!!! We were given a slight hope when Aew said that luck is always on his side but then it was dashed away again during the practice run the sun couldn't be seen due to the clouds.
Honestly this drama is going to be the death of me by these pushes and pulls that the y do with my heart :( It's also these details which makes this one of the best dramas I've watched yet.
Thats one of the main reasons i havent started it yet. If it has a crappy ending i save those shows for when i…
I think even if it gives us a sad ending, the story is worth the watch. it's just so beautifully. This is one of the most aesthetically pleasing dramas I've watched. Everything is top-notch. Acting, music, background.
Even I had the same notion as you before that I won't watch it if it's a sad ending despite it having one of my all time fav couple (they became my favorites from just few scenes in My Ambulance and in this their chemistry is overflowing.) but still, after I just one episode I was hooked. Everyday of the week I'm slowly dying till Thursday to see the spoiler.
Just give it a try and see. Even for the sad ending if it's going to be like that :)
Ok how the hell are we supposed to wait for another week after that episode?? The tension in that just killed me. Not a single kiss scene but that hit the fan way too fast and hell I’m not complaining. Billkin’s and PP’s chemistry is freaking out of this world!!!!!!!!
Such a great article! I love when they portray positive friendships in dramas. Few I would really like to add from what I've watched are, 1. Hospital Playlist 2. Avengers' Social Club 3. Be Melodramatic 4. Age of Youth 5. All three reply series had some good and heartwarming friendship moments in them.
Yes, after your comment I did some digging too lol. There are many rumors that the two actually dated before they entered the entertainment industry and broke up and now are good friends. But if this is somewhat based on their actual relationship, it's even sadder :'(
Now I know why so many say that this is among the BEST Thai BL dramas. I loved the mellow setting and mostly I loved the normalization of their relationship.
Still was I the only one distracted by the NCT U advertisement in the series???????????? Forever NCTzen!!!!!
I tried so hard to like this drama but I just couldn't. Maybe cuz I watched Why R U first and loved the chemistry between Zee and Saint. Honestly although I love Saint, here I just could not like his character. My favorites were honestly the side characters. The only main character I liked was Can. He was way too adorable to not like and his portrayal was super cute. Question though, is it worth watching the second season? I liked the CanTin pairing but I heard the second season is not even good as this?
So question . . . is anyone gonna read the novel before this show airs? Or, they just want to be surprised by…
I've read the novel many times now and yes the novel is pretty sweet. If you are a fan of c-novel translations or such give it a go. It truly is a heart warming novel in a way.
This is honestly a must watch for all BL fans. I love how they normalized the LGBTQ relationship between Pharm and Dean. Unlike other BL dramas which throw conflict after conflict, this actually gave time and space for them to grow as a couple. The comparison between the past and present was done well to show the change of time and the flashbacks were interspaced in such a way that it did not break the flow of the present story. Even the maturity that characters of the present had after their hardships and how they grew in character was really well written. We got Pharm being a better cook while he was completely useless in the past and then we have Dean being so calm and collected while he was somewhat emotionally reckless in the past as Korn.
Most importantly all the actors did amazing jobs as their characters. Although I would have liked a little more emotion showed by Ohm, I'm not complaining. Fluke's acting was top-notch and the last episode killed me, especially him during those emotional scenes.
The best part of the story was their beautiful relationship and it did make sense in the end for Pharm to be confused as to from where their love blossoms, from themselves or their past connection?
The OST was another beautiful part of the story. It was done amazingly well with the story and helped captivate each moment perfectly in the form of music.
Honestly speaking I wish we had more time of Team and Win and show how their relationship grew but I am glad we are getting a whole separate spin-off for them. Hopefully we will get to meet all our amazing characters once again. A little bit sad it hasn't even started filming yet. Hopefully they will soon,
Why is this underrated? I mean it had everything. From a unique plot to humor to balance it and the OST was very fitting too. Damn the acting was really good from every single character. Mai Davika totally shocked me. I've never seen her acting and she hit all the correct spots with her character. I was pleasantly surprised by Sunny too. I've always seen him in funny characters and didn't think I would like him as serious character but he was amazing here. The best surprise was Bright in his cameos. Did not expect that at all!!!
I do admit the love triangle annoyed the hell out of me (I was Team Chalan from the beginning, that cutie was too adorable) . I low key can understand Tantawan. The hardest part in love is letting go of your first love. Especially after 15 years together. I am glad she understood her heart was changing and she accepted it after a while. She will always love Peng. That cannot be changed but personally I feel that she has come to terms that both of their hearts are finally changing. The best thing about the series is how they openly speak about everything as mature adults and try to find answers. Yes Pend sometimes annoyed the f*** out of me with his brashness but in the end I was kinda rooting for him too. Honestly I felt he was much more himself in the end with Paebii. Maybe it was just me. They had something brewing for them or sure. Also even before the magic chose Chalan, you can see that Tantawan had the fried prawns ready, not the pork, which kinda shows that her heart had Chalan even before she let the magic choose it.
PS : THAT DEATH WS POINTLESS> DAMN YOU BOSS FOR MAKING ME SAD. You better give Dao and Tiew their happy ending in "I told the Sunset about you"
This is crazy chaotic and the humor may not be everyone's cup of tea but at the end of the day you can be 100% sure that the opening/ending song will be stuck on your head forever XD Also at the beginning of each episode, they give you a warning. Make sure you listen to everything cuz that shit is true AF!
ps- Am I the only one who thought Ohm sometimes slightly looked like Tul Pakorn?
