I really love this series! TigerLynx are so freaking cute together. I love them together and separately. FirstKhao…
Thank you for mentioning this, this is a very important part, and the other comments here raise good points as well, it is a complex situation.
I just want to add that due to Je Meow's irresponsible spending habits, like spending all the money on the cats, and having no family backing them, Lynx probably had to work extra hard to study and be a successful interpreter to earn money. Her mom putting them in debt and struggling financially probably wasn't the first time, so he was kept on his toes and never had a chance to relax, or a chance to trust anyone which probably stemmed from this and only knowing her mother's side of the story of his dad and her parents abandoning them.
So while this series seems like a light-hearted fluffy one, it raises serious topics of abandonment, trust and attachment.
we still have 3 episodes to go ... the angst is still not here yet
Yeah, but they have already skipped a lot of Kanshin's/Mahasamut's quiet, unloved boy-toy suffering in this one already, so people watching this including me are better off lol
Watching this is like rewatching the Thai version but only watching the nice parts, like eating a tray of brownies that either only has middle pieces/sides depending on which one you prefer.
I really like this as an adaptation but I am also glad I have watched the Thai version earlier than this. I feel like that one is more delicate in a sense. That one is more moody and melancholic overall for sure too. Due to the length of the episodes and therefore the pace, in this version most of the angst (the original kind of consist of) is gone. Which was frustrating when watching that one, but also integral to it as a whole. I feel like the characters have a different temperament in this one too. The actors absorbed their roles and formed their characters differently. It's fun to see.
Wow, I bet this guy is not complaining about being typecasted. Get that bag! :D He has an amazing frame in that whole 2 minutes he is in My Lovely Liar, damn.
I should have learnt by now not to listen to MDL ratings. There are higher rated dramas with worse plot and characters. This was so homey and lovely. The special too. I really wish they had another series together because their chemistry is seriously natural.
I feel like Kong's abilities were stifled by his character, in the more intimate scenes I could see it trying to shine through the cutesy dummy character he was assigned here. I had to keep reminding myself that they are playing university students not high school students. I really hope they can have another series as different characters, because their dynamic was very nice to watch.
I want to watch the hell out of this for the both of them, and I probably will, because I just adore their work and dedication to acting, but I am so tired of the childhood friends/first love returns trope, so tired... Especially with this plot, imagine not recognizing your crush, what in the Clark Kent?
This was a satisfying watch, but could have been written to be spicier. What kind of demon is she to not even think about jumping the bones of someone looking like Kim Jae Young?! At least in the beginning before she developed a heart. Like we have human women in many dramas fantasizing about at least undressing their potential partners and he we have a demon killing people left and right barely getting to first base by the end of the show.
I only just started binging yesterday so I'm sure this was addressed, but damn what a great casting on the brothers, they do look like they could be brothers.
why i can't click on 'completed' list this drama? help
Because on this page among the primary details the drama status is still "Airing". It needs to be set to finished airing, but in order to submit this edit the mods need a source. Unfortunately I don't have amazon prime so I cannot provide that but I hope someone will.
I am going to start this drama today, did you like it fellow Seokjin fan?
This movie is a hoot. It was like a Wes Anderson movie but with FLAVOR! The references, the music, the puns, the characters, the absolutely masterful cinematography I loved it all. Jigijigijigijigijing bam bam bam....
