Title We Are
I really liked this series! So fluffy and the chemistry was great BUT I have a question about Phuwin… he is…
I think we also tend to forgot he literally *just* turned 21 a couple weeks ago. He's still young, and may not be super experienced. It's also very likely he was directed how to kiss by the acting coach and director since NLMG was not like that to my recollection. Actors get to choose certain things, but directors often make them adjust to their vision instead. And if it was discussed during workshops and such how the director and acting coach wanted it to be, that's how they played it.

I swear if we don't get an Our Skyy 3 with some additional Yoryak and Wandee, I'mma riot lol.

Was this a perfect show? No, of course not. There were little plot holes and some rushing through here and there, but it is still so good and so well done. I adore that real world issues were brought up and discussed (Thailand's new marriage equality, trauma and healing, vaccine importance, and different forms of sexuality), as well as being intermingled with the story in a way that made it accessible and understandable. I love the chemistry between Great and Inn. I love that they root for each other to succeed so deeply. I just really loved this show as a whole. It's just sweet and fluffy enough without being over the top or cringey. This show made smile so much, it's easy to overlook minor issues. Definitely rewatchable, and definitely one of my favorites πŸ₯°

OK, I'mma need them to delve into the dreams more to give some deeper plot to this as a whole. I love fluff, but this episode was a bit of filler fluff and definitely lacking. It had its high points, but there weren't many. And Khun Dad is the worst nickname he could possibly have come up with! Nicknames should be organic in nature, not forced lol. "Hey, Mister Dad, I'll see you after work!" Blech. And Nu-Lin is not much better - especially since it's something he has already been called and Nu is kind of like kid or child. Mister Dad and Kid Lin. Barf-o-rama to that weird father/child sounding kink...
On Last Twilight Jul 8, 2024
I see so many people commenting not to watch past episode 9 because the last couple episodes ruin a beautiful story. To me, that's crap lol. Life is messy and hard and absolutely imperfect, so for a series to show that imperfection and heartbreak before reconciliation, makes it feel more real to me. This story should be watched in it's entirety, not because it has a happy ending, but because it shows the struggles and growth before finding the happy ending. It's also infinitely better watching the last few episodes back to back rather than having to wait a week in between - I feel like the waiting is where people got butthurt. But this story, this whole story, is beautiful and one of my absolute favorites.
On Sunset x Vibes: Uncut Version Jul 6, 2024
I watched the episode this morning, then in the afternoon I was helping my mother look for costume jewelry for an event she's going to - and lo and behold! the exact "antique" necklace Sun took Lin into the secret room to see was on Temu for like $14 USD 🀣 I could not stop cackling about it!

I do think this is cute, despite the obvious flaws of mediocre dialogue and such. It's just fluffy enough, though, to keep me coming back and enjoying it. I'm a sucker for fluff, and this is Fluff+. I'm hoping they'll dive more into these mysterious dreams to give a little more umph to the show as a whole. We're only a couple episodes in, so I know more is to come, I just hope it stays fluffy πŸ₯°

I laughed so hard when I saw that one! It's become a game among all the Thai shows I watch to see what the most ridiculous English t-shirts are! Pat's "Baseball Mom" in Bad Buddy and Nuer's "Texas, where farting is a competitive sport" from Cutie Pie 2 You are my top favs 🀣

Title Two Worlds Spoiler
So I think everything you said was correct, but I think they ended up in World 2. The connection *from* World…
Do you have the link to the interview or quote from the author? I'm curious to read it. And I get the author said that, but, honestly, I like the way my brain worked it out better πŸ˜‚ Mostly just because it makes more sense - in as much as any of this choas of a show can make sense lol. At least to me. It may be a translation thing, but the words Lady Lu said at the end are, "The blue substance comes from the power of black stone. Once you break the black stone, the blue substance inside will appear. But if you damage the black stone, blue substance will also forever be gone." If the stone was damaged by Tai for him to get to Kram in World 1, how can the blue substance shine in World 1 for their second Ash Exchange since Lady Lu said it would forever be gone if the stone was damaged? Everything was so convoluted in general in the show, my brain needs this one piece to make sense πŸ˜… Is the name of the novel the same as the show? Do you know if there's a decent translation of it? Do you know if the novel author had any say or input in the screenwriting of the show? Cause I know sometimes showrunners do things differently than the books lol. I'm just curious because I didn't even know there was a novel that it was based on, so if you have any of that info, I'd be greatly appreciative 😊

Title Two Worlds
Sorry, but what?1. Did I miss an entire episode? Did I look away or something? In the trailer I specifically remember…
Lol I feel like this was pretty convoluted script across the board. I enjoyed it - as purely a fluff show, because it can't be taken without several grains of salt.
1. Most Thai dramas will film the trailer separately and earlier than actual filming, or even scriptwriting, so not all shots from the trailer are in the final product. So, no, the scene with the waterfall did not happen in the final show.
2. I think they ended up in World 2 (Tai's world) because World 1 Tai was a wanted criminal, and because travel from World 2 to World 1 is impossible since Tai broke the stone in World 2, but that doesn't mean the stone in World 1 was broken. So it's like a one way door now instead of a back and forth. And it's been 10 years by the end, and if Phupa was remembering World 1 Phupa's memories of loving Kram, it was probably easier to sever ties so he could move on with Run. Not to mention Tai and Kram just live in the woods and Phupa lives in the city and is a business man - totally different life paths.
3. Kram being sad about World 1 Tai's death is understandable because he was the last link to *his* Tai.
4. Poop fruit hunting was definitely filler for time lmao.
5. The snake bite was sloppy writing for sure - rushed and the easy route. And yeah, I think he did leave his dad. Which, again, sloppy writing since his dad was the "reason" he decided to go back to his world to begin with smh.
6. I'm super disappointed in how they played out WayuJao. It was so sudden and then just "and then they were together forever" - just on the back burner.
7. A valid and frustrating question that I have no answer to, unfortunately πŸ˜‘

Title Two Worlds Spoiler
Ok so... this was bad and then it got a bit better and then went bad again. It's frustrating because I love Max…
I honestly think they were able to go back to World 2. Tai broke the stone in World 2, but that doesn't mean the stone was broken in World 1. So the blue light during their second Ash Exchange happened, they jumped, and ended up in World 2 - likely specifically because World 1 Tai was a wanted criminal. So travel from World 1 to World 2 is possible, but because Tai broke the stone in World 2 there's no way back again. So it's like a one way door now instead of a back and forth. Otherwise, how would the blue light have happened in World 1? I don't think the black stone would have emitted the blue light without the possibility of travel between the two worlds. And I totally agree that Max and Nat deserve better scripted projects. I really enjoy them both, but their projects just seem to be lackluster, unfortunately.

Title Two Worlds Spoiler
β€ͺSo after a rewatch and Prang’s ( the books author) explanation on Twitter this is how I think the ending…
So I think everything you said was correct, but I think they ended up in World 2. The connection *from* World 2 to World 1 was destroyed when Tai broke it to get to Kram again in World 1, but the stone in World 1 was not broken, so travel from World 1 to World 2 is possible, but travel back from World 2 to World 1 is no longer possible. Hence why the blue light happened again during their second Ash Exchange in World 1. And since Tai in World 1 was a wanted criminal, it would only make sense that Tai from World 2 does not stay in World 1.

I think Phupa not seeing Kram and Tai again would be simply because they didn't tell him they came back. Severing ties would be easier, especially for Phupa who started having World 1 Phupa's memories of loving Kram. That or they're just so lovey dovey obsessed with each other they just never went to visit Phupa anymore and lost touch over the 10 years lol. Wouldn't surprise me πŸ˜‚

Title Pit Babe
I'm not sure if you've noticed in previous episodes but Winner was well aware that Kim was held against his will…
I don't know if he actually knows about the trafficking part, though. He just says, "I told you not to get involved in Tony's business," and not to worry because Red Racing will win, but with only him as the champion. Tony *just* took over Red Racing - do we really think he's gonna let some newb who only cares about racing cars and being the champion into the inner workings of his illegal business? Winner knows Tony does shady sh!t, obviously, but how deep does his knowledge go? And yes, there were kids at the place where Kim was being held, but they're not restrained, just guarded, so it's entirely possible he's unaware. Because he's oblivious and dumb in his desire to be better than Babe. So, yes, I think he knows there's illegal activity, but I'm not convinced he knows that Tony is raising and selling kids like cattle...

You know what,I give up,never in my life was I ever this angry with a series, man this series made me invest everything…
I wouldn't have minded PeteKenta if I hadn't already known about PeteWay. When the cast found out about their roles, the descriptions of the characters and their partners were given, so I knew PeteKenta was never going to be endgame. (I've not read the novel, so I'm only going based on Boy's Journey and the couples the production team announced.) And Nut's absolutely adorable hopeful desire for Ping to be his partner sways my heart for PeteWay πŸ˜… I knew going into this show that it would be camp to a certain degree, so I'm just enjoying the ride trying to push my delulu behind and pull my suspension of disbelief forward 🀣

So do we think Winner knows about the trafficking Tony does, or does he think it's just an art auction and X-Hunter just want to take down Red Racing? Because if he knows about the trafficking, he's just as despicable, if not, he's an utter moron obsessed with being better than Babe and X-Hunter. Like, what is his knowledge of all the BS lol

Title Pit Babe
In my impatience in waiting for the next episode, I went back and rewatched everything again. In part because I just genuinely enjoy the show, but also because I wanted to pay closer attention to Way. I just had this nagging sensation that there's more to his betrayal of Babe than I noticed the first time around. And I really like Nut as an actor and want for his character to not be such a d!ck lol. Man, it opened my eyes to watch it all again. Obviously, Way has been in love with Babe to the point of obsession, and unrequited love is genuinely terrible to experience. He holds this hope that one day, someday, Babe will turn and look at him and realize there's more between them, and all hope crashes around him when Babe and Charlie officially become a couple. Crushed hope causes people to do stupid things. As does obsession. At one point during their fight after Charlie "dies," Way says he knew Babe loved Charlie even before Babe knew - and his obsession and unrequited love for Babe is what made him try to dissuade Babe from staying with Charlie. Which, yes, is mean and heartless, but again, the longing of the heart makes people the dumbest versions of themselves sometimes. And if Babe is the only person Way has wanted for a decade, that dumb factor is wildly increased. Then when Babe does stay with Charlie, Way is utterly crushed. When you see him at the bar with Pete, he says something about when things don't go the way we want, we have to return to the beginning/to what we knew first. Babe is suddenly lost to him - the anchor in his life for a decade - so it seems only natural to return to what was there before Babe, and, unfortunately, that was Tony. But while speaking with Tony, we learn that Tony basically *owns* Way in a manner I was not expecting. Tony reminds Way that he owns Way's house, cars, dealership, everything and then threatens him with taking it all away and forcing him to be homeless again. The "again" is what caught my attention this time. How destitute was Way before Tony "saved" him? To have nothing, be given so much, and then threatened to have it all taken away and go back to nothing - especially after he has lost the hope of Babe - is a manipulation tactic that is extremely effective. So while I loathe that Way did what he did, I can understand the character's reasoning as to why so much better after rewatching the series again. It's also my hope that we get more clarification about how Tony ensnared Way to begin with so we can understand just how manipulated Way has been. I also hope that there is at least some forgiveness for Way, not just among fans, but between Way and the rest of the X-Hunter team. Not to the way it was, obviously, but with the possibility of redemption down the road. Tony sucks and has manipulated so many people in so many ways, I feel like every single adopted child of Tony needs deep and thorough therapy, life assistance, and forgiveness - at least to some extent. OK, rant over lol.

Title Last Twilight Spoiler
I'm seeing so many people say that them breaking up was immature on Day's behalf, and I just can't agree with that. While I absolutely hate it and am so irritated that it happened - and that I have to wait a whole week before resolution - it feels realistic to me. Day thought Mhok was the *only* one who didn't feel pity for him, as well as guilty for what he perceived as him holding Mhok back from such a huge opportunity, that the betrayal of Mhok lying to him and actually pitying him was more than he could handle.

And yes, the time jump in the final episode seems extreme and a huge bummer, but I also feel like it's going to be what strengthens them in the long run. Day has to learn how to be a whole and completely independent person without Mhok guiding him all the time. There needs to be the full acceptance of blindness, rather than just the hope of potential surgery. He needs to be himself without someone else. And the same goes for Mhok. He initially took the caretaker job for the money, but then became so tangled up in Day and his feelings, he can't move past his constant worry - which would eventually cause strain on the relationship anyway. Mhok needs to be able to work and live independently and honorably/lawfully as well after the type of life he was leading before.

So yes, I hate the time jump. I hate the break up. But I also see the reasons for it, and know that down the road they'll be better. As long as I get the ending of them actually together lol. Because if they don't end up together in the end, we riot at dawn.
