I have a confession to make. I watched ForceBook in all their work to date, Never been a fan but in this series,…
Honestly, same! The only other thing I've seen them in that I actually enjoyed were their guest spots in "Peaceful Property." But this one finally seems to hit the right notes in my head for them.
When is Johan going to stop being a jerk to North and actually do something to endear himself to him? Are we supposed…
I'm actually excited to see Ton as a villain-esque type and his range as an actor. I haven't seen everything he's been in, but what I have seen (prior to this show) has been just "eh" for me, so I'm glad he'll be able to expand his acting chops.
This episode felt a little filler-ish. Not bad, but not much going on. Though, Johan's inability to not smile around North is cracking me up. And I was not expecting to see Ton as a potential villain in next week's preview!
This show kinda rocks ngl. Joong's acting makes some of the messier stuff come together, I like his character…
I don't think Kant would necessarily cheer for himself at this point. He's backed into a corner with his personal record and the future of his little brothers care on the line. He didn't want to take the mission, but was coerced to do so. And maybe Bison deserves better than the manipulation, but he's also a murderer... So they kind of balance each other out in the slime factor for me.
Yes, that was hilarious! Not sure how they call that a "dance floor," though. 😉😄
Oh, I know suspension of disbelief is a thing with all film and TV, but I've come to the conclusion that Thai BL requires multiple suspensions, not just one lol. But me and my delulu are here for every bit of it
Dunk in all the crop tops and First in grandma rhinestone glasses with a gold chain is sending me! This show is goofy in the best way so far lol. The dance scene was cheesy as hell and I loved it!
Sand and Po moving the whole ass table to eavesdrop is a whole mood and I'm here for it 😂 Also, I'm genuinely glad they're giving Arm more depth with his back story, he's been a little flat to me, so this was refreshing.
Can I just say how refreshing it is to have the series *not* set in college/school? Like, they are adults in an adult world - finally! And I know this is early to say, but so far it feels like it has a decent mix of serious and goofy - Kant being pressured by police, but then Style dancing like a goober. Bison and Fadel murdering somebody, but then Fadel dragging Style out by his feet. Hopefully, that combo will continue 🙏
I know the writing has gone haywire left and right, but for the most part I still find it enjoyable. Is it over the top insanity in the plans and the "that-ring-makes-the-wearer-omnipotent" aspects? Absolutely. Do Yin and War and their respective performances make up for it? To me, yes. Also, Grandma for all the wins. Can I please be adopted by her as well?! I don't think any show is perfect - especially in the BL world - but I am still hooked to this one and will wait impatiently for the finale. We better get a happy ending, complete with Toi Ting and Grandma as part of the happy home. And hopefully Boss and Carbon turned to dust...
Grandma is the best JackJoke shipper and I'm totally here for it! Her basically manipulating them into sleeping in the bed together and then grinning in her own bed as she eavesdrop (again!)? Perfection lmao.
Also, I'm curious if the red J with the heart under it on Joke's shoulder will ever be addressed as an homage to Jack and if Jack will ever friggin' notice lol. Like, it's totally about Jack, but it's like Jack hasn't noticed despite Joke's shoulder being in full view right in front of him on multiple occasions!
Not Grandma grinning like a Cheshire Cat listening at the door!!!! She's the cutest grandma I think I've seen in any show - if something truly bad happened to her, I'mma riot
I am not a crier. At. All. Like, I hate it. But Phoom and Vicha's story had tears just rolling uncontrollably down my face. This is my favorite episode by far, and probs my favorite ForceBook pairing yet. Then I went from tears to full on gasping at the end. Maybe this means we'll start to see Uncle Kid and Attorney Yai start getting their comeuppance. I hope. 🙏
Also, looking at Kan after this episode - she absolutely has ulterior motives against Home's family. Which was probably evident after she went snooping and found that one file when Uncle Kid found her, I just didn't realize then. They mentioned old cases and potential new lawsuits as a result of Home and Peach's past accident - I'm thinking she's a family member of one of those old cases... Maybe...
I think the main reason people are so upset that Kan did it the way she did was because it prevented Home from…
OK, you don't seem to like Home because he is the perpetrator. Completely fair. Take him out of the equation, then. What Kan did was self righteous because she did it without thought of the victim's feelings. If she actually wanted justice for the victim, she should have gone to Peach herself, told him the truth, and offered to help him moving forward - be that suing the sh!t out of Home and his family, or just helping him cope as a friend. Instead she went straight to the media, and now Peach's greatest trauma is being hashed out on a national stage. He is justifiably devastated, and is being forced to see his trauma being viewed and discussed by strangers - right after he had just started to heal and move on, so now he is reliving the trauma rather than healing from the trauma. She wanted the truth to come out, which is a correct desire, but she went about it wrong. She's more interested in exposing the cover up than helping the victim, and that makes it more of a selfish act to me rather than a compassionate one. But again, it's a TV show. I'm not trying to get into a debate/fight/conflict about a TV show. I was just trying to give some insight into why people were so up in arms about what she did. Kan is a very stoic and static character (so far, at least), so it's only natural that people resonate with Home and Peach more - they're more developed characters with more interesting personalities.
There is a case in real life where the heir of Red Bull did a hit and run on a policeman and killed him in 2012,…
I think the main reason people are so upset that Kan did it the way she did was because it prevented Home from being able to confess himself first. He was ready with "forgive me" pancakes when he was hit with the news that it had been leaked and Peach found out in a way that was not from Home. Which also makes it doubly hard for Peach because he thinks Home knew all along that he was the perpetrator in the case, when in reality Home only discovered it in the previous episode. I, for one, do think it needed to come to light, yes. It's just the timing that Home didn't get to be the one to tell Peach. I wish it had been Kan giving Home an ultimatum of, "I know the truth, and if you don't tell Peach by X time, I will tell everyone." Because in the end, the way Kan did it also genuinely hurt Peach and Pang, as well as Home. I don't think anyone in the comments saying they hate Kan for what she did is saying they don't want the truth to come out, it's just that she prevented Home from being able to talk to Peach personally.
All that being said, it's also just a TV show that needed a big dramatic event to keep the show moving forward since we're only at the half way point lol. Overall, the real villains are Uncle Kid and Attorney Yai who coerced Home to leave the scene when it actually happened, and then covered it up.
Kan out here blowing everything up, damn. I do think she thought Home wouldn't be allowed to say anything once she heard he wanted to talk to his family, though. She sees more of the duplicitous nature of Uncle Kid and Attorney Yai than Home does, so you just know they would have found a way to get Home to not say anything to Peach. I mean, they shut everything up when the accident happened to begin with, of course they're going to do the same when Home wants to confess. While I think Home should have had the opportunity to confess first, I can see why Kan did it. Even if it was a bit skeevy of her....
wtf kind of name is "Barcode" anyway? Is there a Thai actor named "PriceTag?"
You know, it's entirely possible to see a name you don't care for and just say, "huh. I don't like that." and leave it at that without denigrating someone's name - chosen by them or otherwise - and cultural backgrounds.
You also mentioned Bible - his father chose that name for him because he is devout and knew that if he named his child that it would be a constant reminder to read the bible and be faithful.
So, yes, there is usually a reason behind Thai nicknames. A story. A purpose. Just because you don't know or like it, doesn't mean it has no significance to that person and/or their family. Being kind does take work, but it's not *that* difficult.
When Sun's mother was walking them down the stairs to see the painting, you'll never convince me the railing of those stairs is not just a bunch of d!cks 🤣 I haven't cackled this hard about something in a hot minute, and I need that railing in my house someday!
Has anyone else noticed the instrumental Christmas Carol background music? I’ve heard it in a few episodes.…
I did! It's a little strange to me because I've heard it in a couple other show as well. I'm wondering if it has to do with there not being a copyright on it so they don't have to pay to use it...?
So I really enjoyed this show. It's just a soft story of friends and lovers without too many complications throughout. I like that it's straightforward and simple. Simple, to me, is not boring, just fluffy - and I am a sucker for fluff. (Though, major shout out to Satang for that scene when Q finds out Toey is Milk Frappe Boy and cries so devastatingly hard - that was some top tier acting, and my heart broke for him.)
My main issue is the art. I was an art major and am an artist, and the way they handled the supplies and finished "artworks" was just so bad lol. No way any art student is hauling a massive canvas around campus, much less too and from home and in cars and such. Canvas is heavy. And expensive. I don't know anyone who would have moved their canvas out from the studio where accidents could happen. I do understand that was the whole initial catalyst for Peem and Phum to meet and be at odds, but still. And leaving your art supplies sitting somewhere outside while you go to lunch?!?! Yeah right! Supplies are hella expensive - no one is going to leave their stuff lying around. Not to mention the obvious artworks just being prints on canvas and then stretched so badly you can see the wood slats from the front. Why, oh why, did they not just go to some local universities and say, "Hey, we're doing a show about art students, would you be willing to have some of your students make some works to be displayed and we'll give them credits and they can list it on their resume?" That would have been so much better *le sigh*
