Beautifully say. But I hope they will find each other again when they will be older and more mature.
Oh I can see them as lovers, but with a much better communication. I guess, when you lose something precious, you will work hard if you get it back :-). But thank you for your interpretation. It was beautiful.
I’m sorry, I really don’t agree with people saying “the ending is great because it is realistic”. I actually…
The drama is not realistic. It is just the choice made by someone based on her experience. She doesn't want to wait for Yijin as she waits for her mother. She has the right to do that. The beautiful love was so beautiful that Yijin took a life-changing decision without talking to HeeDo. At that time, they were not meant to be together. But, I think they could have been reunited in 2022. And the open ending is here. They have a closure for 1098-2009, but they are only 40 and maybe single; why not try again? From my point of view, it was not a sad ending but a closure of an era + an open ending.
No, and it is not that important, as the chance that HeeDo is divorced are high, and because the drama is from MinChae Point of View, she already knows her dad.
I understand why people are not happy with the ending. But it was perfect. More info in the next comment
1. We don't need to know about the father as he is certainly not in the picture anymore (at least for HeeDo). They gave us a lot of hint that she is divorced (no ring, the sentence during the funeral, etc.) 2. Why do we have no information about the other in 2022? Because our POV was Min Chae point of view. So we have the information that she got from the diary and her research, and that's all. To have more information in 2022, we would have need her to ask questions about them. If they are 2 reasons she did not: - Because she knows them, so she doesn't need more information - Because she doesn't want her mother to know about her reading her diary. The thing is she already asked questions about it, so we don't really know. And because, it was her pov, she doesn't need to know who her father is.
The ending was a closure for the ear 1998 - 2009 and the open ending is for 2022. And that's great: a. They shown us that Yijin doesn't have a ring in 2009. And they focused a lot on that so truly, it means something. b. Her mother innocently talked about Yijin with HeeDo (ep 4). c. They still love each other (name of the workshop, and first love for Yijin).
i completely understand people’s disappointment as I, too really wanted baekdo to be endgame. but going as far…
Because they also added a lot of thing to let us believe that they might be together. That was the main goal of everything. And they did it perfectly. I am not disappointed tbh.
I think what everyone is forgetting that How is FL's husband "ok" with her still keeping all the things of her…
They gave us clues to understand that she is divorced. She doesn't have a ring and the discussion during the funeral (harder to get a divorce than breaking an engagement). That's why having her workshop called 2521 just said that she is not over Yijin. For me, the open ending is here. What will happen after 2022, and her daughter knowing everything. And her mother telling "oh I met Yijin a month ago".
