I think people forget to rate after watching it...or I don't know what grudge does MDL have against Ren Jialun...no…
I get what you mean by not wanting a flat finish on your car or a gloss finish on your wall, but the thing is Allen Ren always picks scripts that are a "wall" (if that makes sense), in which case the flat finish fits perfectly. The worst you can say is that he typecast himself since he keeps picking similar roles, but IMO his acting fits his characters and script choices.
LJW is a good actor. He's just really bad at picking scripts to the point where I'm sceptical. Anyway will trust…
So true. I'd have expected him to get better scripts after AOS, but somehow his earlier scripts are better. When he wasn't doing major roles. The last role of his I enjoyed was in Death's Game. He should definitely stay away from romance for a while, especially modern romance.
You know, I love me some Allen Ren. Drama is good so far. Good pacing. Interesting. So far, FL isn't bad. But…
She only lost memories of the events that happened and the people she met since Ep 1 (after encountering Lu Huai). Anything else before that, she didn't forget.
I really wish he would grow to be a more mature man. But when he burnt the letter, I was speechless. It is his…
Totally agree with everything you said. Zhao Chun and Yan Xun are pretty similar in how they would trample over everyone else and still play the victim
He's a cry baby. And an obsessed one for that. I'm not watching today partially because of him. He's so blinded…
You're actually right. He never acknowledges the hardships and suffering of others. For all his talk of Zhuge Yue being his only friend, he's never once tried to put himself in ZY shoes. Plus hes been putting his subordinates through the same struggles that ZY goes through with his emperor so he should at least know how impossible it is to say no to the sovereign. Also, he never listens to Chu Qiao AT ALL. He's never once thought about what she might want, only what he wants.
Yan Xun and his holier than thou attitude really pisses me off. Had to take a break at ep33 to calm down. Why does he always act like he's been the only through hardship so he can be inconsiderate!!!!!! Atp I wish someone would just k!(( him.
So many people are going to come for my head but is Princess Agents REALLY that unforgettable? I wanted to watch it before this one aired and honestly I struggled with it. Not sure if it's the production value or pacing, but I kept falling asleep. I'd wake up to continue and it'd feel like I've missed nothing. Only made it about 20 eps (and I'm yet to start this, just about to) before I quit. Already from the trailers Li Yunrui looks stoic but expressive, while LGX looked like an expressionless block of wood. At least Shawn Dou was charismatic. And thisbis constructive criticism based on my opinion, not hate driven towards specific actors. Anyway this comment has gone on forever. Was about to start this but honestly the comments about this not living up to PA... idk the bar for PA is really low for me. I can't make comments about casting decisions and HYTT since only the Chinese know whats up. But please please, no attacking other actors. Actors are like "employees" and most times the bosses have the final say. That's my 2 cents. Now I'm off to watch, so that I can make opinions based off of the production itself and not other factors outside of the show.
They’re focused on making everything beautiful but the writing is shit, they try too hard to not make a character…
I've watched other shows by this writer/director like Fangs of Fortune and My Journey to You. I think it's his style. Made to look more comical or exaggerated like a stage play. I personally enjoy it, and the characters are well written (IMO). Guess it's not for everyone though
I'm on a nostalgia trip and just realized that most of my pre-covid faves haven't made an appearance since 2022-2023. Whyyyyyyyy. No wonder I'm stuck in cdramaland nowadays. Very few kdramas have caught my attention in the past 3 years
