I really enjoyed the first ep of My Plantito, now that it has been released on YouTube. The actors are very attractive and they do a great job (at least in the first ep) of establishing the "lust after your neighbor" plot framework. The gay-friendly father is also rather amusing (even if completely unrealistic.)
The production values were super-high. So much better than the last two years of Pinoy BLs.
I am looking forward to seeing if the Plantito can make romance bloom. (Sorry, so corny, I know.....)
am not very sure, women here in Philippines that loves plant are called 'Plantita', which has Plant and Tita (Aunt),…
Yes. Now having seen the first ep, that is exactly the origin of the title. Although the "plantito" guy is not much of an "uncle" type.....he's more like an absolutely gorgeous gymbunny stud who happens to like plants.
The last ep is truly excellent!! Unexpected plot twists, riveting performances, and the chance to see Ms. Bombalicious without her makeup! (Sorry, she looks a helluvalot better WITH the makeup.)
I donāt want to reveal any spoilers, but I will say that in retrospect we can see that the cringeworthy proposal in Ep6 was cringeworthy on purpose, and everybody involved figures that out.
Iām really enjoying this series. The actors are not only cute and charismatic, they are very good at interpreting their characters. I agree completely about the actor who played Vanā¦ā¦a bravura performance in a minor character!
Hope that the fact Xion post a hire advert for a writer is a sign he understand the one he have need to return…
I recently learned that the Thailand Tourism Authority has a program to subsidize foreign film makers to include Thai tourist spots in their films/videos, in order to convince people to visit Thailand. (Pretty good strategy, IMHO.) I wonder if My Story got into that subsidy program and that accounts for the Chiang Mai location and the scenes in the temple, market, and other tourist sites.
Well, it's been 3 years, and after watching My Story I went back and re-watched My Day. It was surprising how well My Day has held up. In comparison to My Story (and other Pinoy BLs in recent years), the acting was really very good, and SOME of the scenes were beautifully directed and photographed. The chemistry between Miko and Aki was truly exceptional......their interactions were convincingly intimate and their emotional scenes were well played. Miko played his role very well......he was energetic and enthusiastic and convincingly goofy. (I have to say that I cannot say the same about My Story, where I found the acting rather wooden.) Ep, 8, with the kissing/ fireworks and lovemaking with the song "Hindi Ako Bibitaw" playing in the background is one of the best cinematic expressions of gay love I have ever seen (and I have watched a LOT of gay movies and videos now.)
Of course, My Day still has all the defects we all criticized 3 years ago......chaotic, unconvincing plot featuring an overabundance of dogs and weird mincing characters, plus the toxic girlfriend. But (at least up until Ep. 8), it is still well worth watching and I would recommend it highly.
I'm not normally a fan of reality-type shows, but this is surprisingly enjoyable! I would really enjoy getting to know these guys -- for the most part they are funny and interesting and of course cute.
When Tinn whispers to Gun explaning the difference between TinnGun and GunTinn in 12 2/4, Gun's answer that it…
Ah, but it seems that was not really settled. At the very end of the ep when they are wrestling in bed, Gun says "It's GunTinn" and Tinn replies "It's TinnGun." (Clearly there's enough material there for a Season Two!)
What an AWESOME episode! P'Aof takes us on an emotional rollercoaster. I have to say that Gemini absolutely NAILS his performance of a frustrated deaf guy using sign language to communicate. It is a tour de force -- he communicates his emotions in his gestures so effectively. It is wonderful to watch, and to contemplate that young man's talent.
They played the ost "Tommorrow" so beautifully and it blended so well with all those scenes. Damn it had weeping.
Me too. First BL in quite a while to bring tears to my eyes. Ford's singing is beautiful. And the construction of that sequence (showing all the different characters was genius. BTW, if you watch the OST song on Youtube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0INmj1L9qEM ), you can get glimpses of some stuff in upcoming episodes, such as Liming do a Lion Dance while Heart films him.
Episode 4, hey can anyone tell me what packets was Gaipa's mother holding being so sad? Google translate didn't…
If you zoom in close, you can read that one of the packets is hydrazaline , which is a drug used to treat high blood pressure and specifically hypertensive crises. It would seem Mom is in bad health.
The production values were super-high. So much better than the last two years of Pinoy BLs.

This is really a great little series.
