No it's not. FL did have many admirers from her previous life and present. But again this is based off the novel not sure what route they'll take in regards to the drama.

And this is why they should've stuck to the plotline of the novel because now we have all these unnecessary plot-holes🤷‍♀️...Just my opinion

I've been wondering is he really like this or is he faking it? I ask because when he met with the consort while she was drinking he seemed like a completely different person. 🤔

Due to the fact that the novel and the drama are different I can't for sure say that it's following the novels reasoning or the drama has its own. In novel it wasn't a time skip. So if I had to guess the drama probably won't have a major time skip at least regarding what you're referring to. (And just to be clear I'm assuming when you say time skip/jump you mean years probably??)

As others have posted the drama and the novel are two completely different stories at this point. To answer some of your questions, in the novel YeLi had no revenge plot. Most of her adversaries were people who were jealous of her and her relationship with MXY. So throughout the novel it was really her protecting herself when needed because they kept trying to either kidnap or assassinate her. Lishan academy was burned down (if I'm not mistaken) by her grandfather because he didn't want to leave anything useful for the emperor. At this time MXY was helping them escape to his territory called Li City so they could be safe. While in Li City her grandfather started over building a new academy with a new name there. Also, there was a backstory to Lishan academy. They refused to enter the court. An ancestor of of YeLis grandfather gave up his life and many others as well as a declaration to this. I believed the ancestor was schemed against in the court and some other things(I can't remember fully). Anywho her Maternal family refused to enter court or take up any major posts or positions. Her grandfather and uncles still attended court because Lishan held high influence amongst the scholars. A handful of ministers were graduates of Lishan academy themselves and they also sent their sons to study there as well.

I'm the drama he just stated that the grey hair is from stress and that it's hereditary. Both his dad and brother both had it too. In the novel his hair turns fully grey/white due to the poison in his body along with the shock of finding out Ye Li might've died from jumping off a cliff while pregnant with their son. He was out for a while in bed. When he finally woke up his demeanor and personality became very cold and murderous. For instance he killed off a whole army sent out by the emperor to "search" for her. Don't remember the exact number but it was thousands of them.

Just to mention the drama is different from the novel. It's been a while since I read it so the details might be a bit blurry. There was never a relationship b/w ML best friend and a princess. His love interest was the the empress who was married to the current emperor. The empress was also the daughter of Duke Hua. The ML had many admirers from noble women, to one of the consorts (current emperors consort), and foreign princesses. I remember there was one princess (this might be the one portrayed in the drama) she wanted to marry the ML. That didn't happen so she set her sights on Mo Jingli. She was jealous of the FL and of course gave her a difficult time and wanted to kill her etc etc. I could be mistaken and there was two (one who like Mo jingli and still hated FL, and one who wanted to marry ML cause she liked him from a long time ago when she met him in the battlefield or during a war campaign). Again some of the details are a bit blurry but everyone who tried to harm the FL and ML died. Either by her hands or his hands. They also used others hands if it called for it.

The first arc was really good. Honestly felt that they could've made it, its own drama with about 20-25 episodes. Both leads did amazing.

After watching episode 27, I'm thinking Ling Long could have thrown her weight around as a threatening gesture to the Jin family head. He wants to keep that uncle safe knowing he did all those evil deeds while also threatening to not give Zhan Zhao a cure. If you really wanted to do it especially as a family of healers you would have. To me I personally feel like the FL is bit dull or boring to watch. I feel like she doesn't really add or take away from the story. I would think that as a woman in the jianghu she would be a bit more bold or confident especially since she grew up in and live in a male dominated martial arts world. She would most likely to either have or have had to grow into that characteristic. So even though the Jin family elder dismissed Bai Yu Tang that would have been the perfect moment for her to step up. Of course she wouldn't really kill them but the elder would be to scared to take the chance considering it was her aunt that was killed and she has every reason to take revenge the jianghu way. She could have bluffed it even if she didn't tell/mention her father and her brother being involved. Again that's the perfect moment to throw her weight around and claim to the elder that she could cease to make the Jin family to exist. Of course on another note she could have told Zhan Zhao to leave the room since he's an official and all...lol. And with Bai Yu Tang being so over that family I'm sure he would have played along. Just my thoughts.

His sister is married to one of the FL paternal uncles. So he his her "uncle to some distance degree". That's why in the 1st or 2nd episode at her coming of age party when they officially meet he tells her she should address him as Uncle.

In the novel she married him when she was 16. He was about 15 to 20 years older than her. I can't remember the exact number. The novel also stated that he looked very good for his age, like he was in his 20s, so yes there was a large age gap.

For a short drama this was really good. Highly recommend!
