After watching episode 27, I'm thinking Ling Long could have thrown her weight around as a threatening gesture to the Jin family head. He wants to keep that uncle safe knowing he did all those evil deeds while also threatening to not give Zhan Zhao a cure. If you really wanted to do it especially as a family of healers you would have. To me I personally feel like the FL is bit dull or boring to watch. I feel like she doesn't really add or take away from the story. I would think that as a woman in the jianghu she would be a bit more bold or confident especially since she grew up in and live in a male dominated martial arts world. She would most likely to either have or have had to grow into that characteristic. So even though the Jin family elder dismissed Bai Yu Tang that would have been the perfect moment for her to step up. Of course she wouldn't really kill them but the elder would be to scared to take the chance considering it was her aunt that was killed and she has every reason to take revenge the jianghu way. She could have bluffed it even if she didn't tell/mention her father and her brother being involved. Again that's the perfect moment to throw her weight around and claim to the elder that she could cease to make the Jin family to exist. Of course on another note she could have told Zhan Zhao to leave the room since he's an official and all...lol. And with Bai Yu Tang being so over that family I'm sure he would have played along. Just my thoughts.
His sister is married to one of the FL paternal uncles. So he his her "uncle to some distance degree". That's why in the 1st or 2nd episode at her coming of age party when they officially meet he tells her she should address him as Uncle.
I really love it so far 😍Everyone talking about age gap in story so I am curious about it ?She is 15 in novel,…
In the novel she married him when she was 16. He was about 15 to 20 years older than her. I can't remember the exact number. The novel also stated that he looked very good for his age, like he was in his 20s, so yes there was a large age gap.
Ml is just following his vow to Mr Bai. I doubt he is truly in love with Yimei.I am glad Yimei found love and…
I agree. He's grown which means he's not the same person he was 5 years past. As he has changed he's going to need someone who can keep with the pace he's moving at. I think Yimei would have been fine to marry before his exile but not now. I also think that if she didn't stay to treat the general she probably would have married the ML without much thought. But considering what she experienced throughout that time she has also grown and how she's viewing things now maybe the ML can't give to her at this stage. She basically fell in love without her knowing it
The fiancé story is very meh. They're so conveniently taking her from the stage so our ML wouldn't do polygamy…
Yeah I feel like the story is shifting from the business plot. Up until he returned home everything we have seen is his adaptability and capability in a field that he's never maneuvered in but is surprisingly great at. He said he wanted to do a tea business. I feel like what the writers could have shown us is maybe him reading books on tea prices, maps of where tea is sold/made/and or brings in plenty income. This could show us how he's still maintaining his wit and keeping his mind sharp even through this romance arc.
I know right ...at least LeNa looked like she's learning from her mistakes, choosing to move on and start fresh. That pride is really something. When you fall because of it there no way you can't truly understand what it means to humble yourself. I think she realized that....at least I hope she did based on her last scene in the show
I thought Seung Hee would have a redemption arc...but nope lol
Let me just say Sung-Hee the mean girl from High School, She is the stupidest mean girl I ever did see....😂😂. Most mean girls get theirs eventually but I don't think I ever saw one this stupid. It's truly hilarious.
I said it a few days ago in another post and I'm going to say it again. They should have named this show "Who can I trust, everyone's a Liar!!" 1. I had some hope. I thought man at least she has her friend Zhong Lin who seem legit she never lied to her but then they show the episode where she keeping a secret too. Even though there's no malicious intent she still not being honest. On another note how can you tell the brother prince to take care of your friend.....like you clearly stated yourself how the imperial family don't have not loyalty etc. You so fed up your finally leaving but your entrusting her safety to him...Im just saying. 2. Then I am pretty sure that adoptive brother faked his death. When FL finds out she going to recall all that begging and crying she did on his behalf. It's unfortunate but she just needs to take that L and apologize to the emperor. What's sad is that everyone else around her knows what's going on. They got to be looking at her like shes boo boo the fool. 3. At this point I wouldn't be surprised if the script reveals that the brother is hiding something from her too...lol 4. Now with the Preceptor chick. She clearly doesn't understand her place or she just doesn't care. Like explain to me why do you feel like it's your place to constantly tell the emperor what he must do in his marriage? Whether it's toxic or whether it's going good it not your place to interfere in a married couples situation. You already gave your few cents in advising him. He listened or not regardless at that point you keep your mouth shut. She already overstepped her bounds a few times. I'm not sure if anyone else noticed how she barged into the empresses chamber 3x without permission. I can kinda see how her story is going to play out. Because she can't possibly think the emperor has reciprocating feelings and will make her the empress??????
Ok, LCC, your about on my last nerve already and we are only 8 episodes in. Stop with the drinking, the crying,…
I agree on the crying and drinking. I'm like okay you had your few moments to do that. But you gotta stop drinking and getting drunk. Your not going to figure out anything if your always intoxicated and crying. Yes, you deserve to have your moment and you did but now whether people want to be honest with you or not you gotta make a decision. Either buck up and figure out what the hell is going on or wash your hands and figure out an exit plan from the empresses seat and just walkaway. Shes intelligent enough to do that much.
How evil is her father is , did he even care for his daughter?
Right he clearly has no bottom line. The ML knows it's his intention to rebel and seize the throne so why not just say to hell with it and tell her the truth. Let her know and investigate on her own and make a choice. But I know she probably won't believe him...smh. I would rather she just wash her hands of being empress and don't let nobody bother her. If it was me I would just plan an escape route and leave. Let them deal with whatever's going on. Heck she never wanted that position or life anyway.
This has definitely reminded me of "Death Race" w/Jason Statham. Just like in Death Race the warden framed the ML for murder of his wife and kid. Evidence was airtight and he was sent to a high level max security prison. She wanted him to race for entertainment and had viewers around the world. When they raced they had female prisoners in the car with them to help navigate. ML made a lot of enemies ,he won races, and hatched a plan to escape during one of the live races. It's really enjoyable this far.
