There will be a livestream on Netflix Japan YT channel on Aug. 3 with the cast so hopefully we get a confirmation DaiShun are truly together. After getting so invested in their story I would be disappointed if they arenāt, but itās their privacy. They shouldnāt be pressured to date each other and share anything.

If The Boyfriend had longer episodes and showed a little more quality time with the cast it would be #1 for me.
His Man 2 still has to be top. JunseongSeungho set the standards pretty high for BL dating shows imo lol. They showed a lot of bonding and quality time in His Man between the cast in a span of a week, compared to how much that was cut in The Boyfriend that was in the span of a month.

They both unfollowed everyone on their IGās and Shun is with an agency so I wonāt be surprised if theyāll be a bit discreet about their relationship or if they arenāt really together. I still adored their moments though.
This was 10/10 for me. Sweet, romantic, wholesome moments between the cast. Even if true relationships didnāt happen I just enjoyed seeing them bond with each other because the LGBTQ+ community in Japan and Asia in general is not as big and open as here in the States. I hope for more seasons of this for sure.

Iām gonna cry, Iām gonna miss this. That was a beautiful moment with ShunDai and just seeing them fall for each other. The Boyfriend is the best one Iāve seen yet after His Man 2. The friendship and bonds made along the way also š
This is definitely the BL version of Terrace House (which Iāve been missing and was sad they stopped doing). I hope they continue making more seasons of this and tweak it a bit with either longer or more episodes.
Iām rooting hard for DaiShun and whatnot but I also want to be careful not to become too obsessed. Shun recently got signed with an agency to be an artist/idol/actor idk. So I donāt want to be completely delulu rightā¦ But I really am so happy with the progress and development of their relationship.

The only issue I have with this is that episodes are not long enough lol. They should show more interactions and cut out a bit too much. You even forget Taeheon because he hardly has any screen time.
