Ahh yes, SOOO true. I watched 3 that had 11 versions (so far). I don't mind different adaptations if the storyline is cool, but if its toxic, like you said, I don't bother watching the others... UNLESS I just LOVE the actor/actress so much that I want to see everything, even the stories I loathe. ;) The toxic families do get very tiring. Sorting through synopsis to find other storylines is sometimes challenging, so I guess its good we keeping records and lists.

I agree. I've only written 10 reviews. I don't usually have the patience, either, unless I liked it A LOT. But no way, you are NOT alone. I'm sure there's many others that document all their dramas. I started watching Spanish dramas on Netflix in 2019 to help improve my language listening skills, then I ran across a K-drama and a C-drama on there in 2022... and a few years later, I'm a MAJOR addict with several Asian apps. Hahaaa. I JUST recently got MDL this last January, which helped with organization like you, and that's how I started watching these short vericals (which I disliked at first), lol. Now, I love all of it. I mean, not every drama of course, but all the filming styles. I'm realizing now I forgot to respond to your comment on the other drama. I'll find it! :)

Oh no worries. I think your reviews are great, and to the point. My actual reviews are not very organized and tend to be word-vomit sometimes 😬. Speaking of writing in a notepad, though... I had to do the same thing, so you're not alone. I started with memos on my phone but the files got so huge, I migrated it all to documents on my computer with shortcuts of the WORD app to edit on my phone. Its already hundreds of pages long because I record every Asian drama I've ever watched (the time of completion, my rating - even if its not on MDL, the platform I watched it on (iQIYI, RakutenViki, YouTube, etc), my review - most of which I never post)... This record-keeping is helpful because I can then type a key word, find the drama and see if I've watched it already and what I thought. If its not there, I haven't watched it yet.
Good afternoon, is this the actor from the series that on DramaBox is titled Reveal Rise and Reign?
No, this actor (Zhang Yuntao / Eric Zhang) is NOT him. I searched for an hour for the actor's name in, "Reveal, Rise and Reign", even using the A.I. search tool, but I couldn't find something concrete, anywhere. However, after reading hundreds of YouTube and TikTok comments, I found one user replied to request for the actor's name with a misspelling, "Wg Mana", so I looked up the actress in that drama, Yang Jie, and found one of her dramas with actor, Wang Manman, but he has no ChineseMov.com or MDL page, so I can't verify a photo with the drama cover photo or the video itself to see if its that same actor. 😩 I think Wang Manman might be the correct actor, but I have to give up the investigation for now. In the meantime, here is the ChineseMov.com link for drama title, "If You Do Not Love, Leave, Don't Regret" (2025), with both actors Yang Jie and Wang Manman:

Seriously. You are right. I'm always amazed at the amount of dramas released. ...and different adaptations of the same storyline within the same MONTH, even. Its like a firehose in the Asian drama world. If only it were humanly possible, I'd watch them ALL!!! 😄💗

It was a nice, feel-good drama, and easy on the heart. Both leads are very cute and sweet together. I like their kind of relationship so much – being fun and being REAL friends. (Yila’s dimples are so cute). The fake bloody scene in the car was my favorite scene because I love how the ML lovingly teased a confession out of the FL. I liked the scene when the FL came in the room all fired-up and feisty with the mop to rescue her husband from that awful, conniving b*tch. This drama allowed the most common sense reaction to that evil woman’s claims of pregnancy. The mom demanded instant DNA testing and the ML said he called the police for slander. BAM. I looove that nobody fell for her lies like is common in other dramas, and that it was instantly dealt with. She had no choice but to come clean. There was so much logical sense, my brain exploded. Then, the FL’s latex bra-pad blocking the knife is one of the funniest things I’ve EVER seen in a drama. 😄 You’re right, the FL’s wardrobe was kind of meh (and repetitive). I did like her black and white lacey bedtime nighty / lingerie that she wore for 3 seconds. Since you told me about Yila’s lack of authentic kissing, I was prepared and so left out my expectations, which helped. :) Thank you for sharing this happy, pleasant drama!

I've only recently started organizing all the dramas I've watched since I started this hobby last year, so haven't completed my categorized lists, but off the top of my head, this is one of my favorite age-gap dramas (older ML / younger FL):
TUAN CHONG LIU XIAO JIE TAI YE, JIN YU WANG YE NAN BA CHI (10/27/2024)
I like it because, the FL is smart, mature, laid back, and strong, and the ML is kind and brave. (I don't like the age-gap ones where the FL seems brainless or acts like a child).
