I believe he gave itnto HC now bc he has 10 years to live and just wants to spend his life the best way possible with his wife. If he wasnt dying so soon he would have ruled. I believe they made him not curable bc it will make more sense why he'd he give up the thrown.

What is up with giving us 2 nice, good, happy episodes then giving us 2 shitty episodes? I notice this trend since ep 27 LOL. Make up your mind director and screenwriters! Happy ending but not really happy ending.. killing innocent Han Pu off.. and then YWY ... i cant even start with that guy. He literally outsmarted everyone lmaoooooooo and died just like that. Itd be nice to see him suffer a litttle. 😂

I really enjoyed the drama and was even satisfied with them not ruling, but i felt like i was snubbed somehow. ☹️

I believe i may be one of the few that thoroughly enjoyed the drama more than the novel. I can understsnd the passion and angst people feel when they enjoyed a novel and its been completely butchered, but i can also enjoy a drama that butchered a novel but is very good in its own right. 🤪

Yes, it does seem like that in the real world. You cannot have your cookie and eat it too. When i read the novel it was befitting that HC became the emperor, but this drama is completely different than the novel. I believe they can spin it any way they want! As Lanxi in the drama is nearly perfect and in the novel he was more ruthless.

As i reiterate what i previously mentioned in an earlier comment about who will rule the world. I dont think that it matters as long as the people are safe and happy. I love how BFX thinks like i do. Just hearing her explain that to her loyal subject was refreshing. BFX is very evolved imo. Shes not on a quest for power, shes on a quest to help the innocent and civilians. Do i think HC is fit, yes but not as fit as Lanxi. We want a wise ruler, but also someone who cares about the people more than himself/herself. HC and YCH deserve each other. Both power hungry. HFX and BFX is just a step better.. theyre meant to be together and can understand you marry for love not political advances. Their love is real!

I dont quite get why Huang Chao has to rule the world? He says its for the people and their well being, safety, and happiness, then why does it matter if Lanxi rules when their agenda is the same? Lanxi wants the citizens all over to prosper and not suffer. Does HC think he can do a better job of keeping the people happy? Lanxi and BFX wanted to destroy the artilleries bc its a weapon of mass destruction and it can kill "innocents". However HC recognized that but still let his father n law use them anyway.

I understand that they want the same things but one of them does it in a more vicious way. Does that make HC more capable? A reliable king? Bc he can exact his goals ruthlessly? Bc HC is more resolute? HC and Lanxi can be great kings. Lanxi also schemes and plots and is very strategic but he never forgot about family or the one he loves. Lanxi wouldnt marry BFX just for alliance reasons. Im suspecting that the drama will be different than the novel. I believe Lanxi will be the new emperor and he will integrate the 6 states, therefore fascilliting FXY and FLX to rule together. Or maybe not. FLX will save his wife, hair turns white and they go travel the world. This drama isnt anything like the novel but i dig it. I loved this drama even if they took a lot of key things in the novel out and flipped it upside down.

Whats with this perfect couple?!?! This unwavering support for each other, believing in each other, and always backing each other up! This HFX - BFX relationship is so awesome! Theyre competitive, theyre sweet, and theyre not petty to each other. If only real life relationships can mirror theirs 😂😂😂😂

From the interview i saw, zhao lusi said this was her hardest role to play as she had to play 2 different personalities. One being xiyun and the other bai fengxi. However we didnt get to see much of xiyun lol 🤪🤪🤪

Instead of editing the last 10 episodes into a crunch, they should have shortened Lanxi's arc. This is indicative that the director was changed midway and the mandatory 40 ep limit was in effect. So sad bc bai fengxi should have had more screen time to show us how awesome she really is! I kept looking at the minutes left while watching these epsiodes. It feels so short! How fast 40 minutes pass by! 😭

I completely and and immensely disagree with this one. BFX has never caused Lanxi any grief but on the contrary, she aided him and even helped solved a lot of HIS problems. BFX is the near perfect woman to ME. She doesn't complain, whine, make dumb decisions and most of all her intellect is as unparalleled as Lanxi. BFX is strong in her martial ability, and tbh her mentor seems to get into way more trouble and makes horrid decisons. In my view, BFX is the one bailing out everyone and when she doesn't have the ability to save someone, she will seek help. For instance asking the mountain abode to assist. She has humility and thinks for the greater good. Bravo to BFX!
