I feel that we are all different people. We all proritize whats more important to us. For me, this lord chose the white cloth rather than sending her to the cold palace and then he let his own beloved son see his mother at such a state. It didnt make sense to me why they added that tid bit of a scene about why he chose baili. Bc she stayed with him 3 days and 3 nights while he was sick? Lol This lordship definitely valued power and control over any kind of love.. whether its spousal love or love for his children, he did not hone any of that. He was always this sort of person and most likely he will always be this kind of person. Its not to say he cant feel love but other things are more important.

I can speak from personal experience bc whether my husband of 25 years was poor or rich or famous or just a nobody, id always choose him. There is not enough power or money that can compel me to betray or hurt the people i love. Even if they hurt me. Or steal from me, or even try and harm me. I still could not wish death upon my family. Maybe its just me or maybe in palace courts as a king he is forced to kill his loved ones. However i can also recall many treacherous rulers who did whatever they wanted and got away with it.

On the other hand, Baili is a terrible person. She never loved the king. Anyone who births out a child and throws them away bc the child has epilepsy and furthermore tries to poison him when hes older, cannot love anyone, but herself. That to me is pure tragedy. Im glad feng chang had love from lanxi.


I truly believe that being kind or ruthless is innate. Most times environmental influences (family, friends, ambition) can sway you to be a certain way but i think youll always have that core self.

I do find it very comical that the maid was not shown from beginning to end. The most i saw was a silhouette of her. Kind of silly that over an unprofessional personal matter this maid didnt get to showcase her acting prowess. 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣

Well tbh imo all the people in mydramalist have been amicable and friendly. Some have stated their passionate opinion, but no one here has "sucked" or what has been mentioned, "triggered". lmao even when there has been mentions of "get a life" everyone has been mature and level headed. Its not like playing league of legends or a first person shooter game where everyone is wishing you and your whole family death. Kudos to everyone here expressing what they like and DONT like about the drama. 🙏🙏

Oh i dont think anyone is really hating onnthe drama. Lol if they were then they'd just stop watching. Everyone can express their views/opinions/disappointment/satisfaction here. This is a gateway to how we can share what we love and hate about the drama! I personally believe there is no perfect story/drama out there but Who rules the World comes close to it. I believe if an actor can make you feel a certain emotion, theyve done their job. I dont believe Yang Yang is a one dimensional actor. I think hes shown that he can act very well. Yes he has a pretty face, but hes made me feel sad, hes made me question if hes cunning or maybe really has good intentions. I think hes superceded my expectations for someone people say can act as the good guy. I am sure he can also play a great villain. Zhao lusi was also fantastic. Even though she mainly accepts scripts and dramas that are usually a romantic comedy or comedy, she does have many colors of acting. I saw that in the long ballad. For 23, her commitment level is admirable. I saw a video of her playing a chinese instrument and another video of her doing some sort of ball gymnastics. I just thought "shes a person of many talents and an iron will to be her best". But isnt that what most actors achieve to be? I think these two are good in their crafts. Are there better actors, ofc, but i wouldnt be harsh to people since i am not an actor myself. Imho i like hearing what people dont like and like. As for the story being choppy and rushed, thats probably bc of it having to be 40 ep. The writing isnt bad. Also imho, I read the novel and this is one of the rare times i thoroughly enjoyed the drama more than the novel. You can beg to differ, as i said. Its in my opinion.

I went back to re watch all the episodes again and i realized how sad it is for Lanxi. Many people feel sorry for feng chang, but i personally dont feel sorry for anyone who just kills innocent servent lives bc they now know he has epilepsy. I love feng changs brotherly love for Lanxi, but that doesn't make him a righteous person lol. Lanxi's mother died. Lanxi did not get any attention from his father. Lanxi practiced martial arts in private. Im sure he was quite lonely. Lanxi always had to look over his shoulders and for not one single moment he can let his guard down bc of his treacherous family. Then to have feng chang scold him and chase him away even if feng chang wanted to protect Lanxi, im sure that broke Lanxi's heart. Still, it is his only family that loved him. Then after all that, to have your father flog you while youre walking over to him and finally dissolving his inner power. I mean how much does Lanxi have to endure? Im not sure how Lanxi can muster up the strength to keep going. I suppose ambition can be very strong. I also read the novel and i feel the drama Lanxi is so much more honorable than the novel Lanxi. I really appreciate what a strong male lead feng lanxi is. However i like BFX slightly more hehe. I wonder how FLX will react to finding out his girl is really a princess..🤪

Lanxi loves his father. When the possibility that his father may be a part of his mothers death, lanxi was devasted and hurt. The disappointment and the betrayal. All these emotions and feelings can only come from loving someone. On the other hand, his father only cared about himself. Depleting his own sons inner force and testing him so eventually he can banish lanxi out of yongzhou. This man cares for no one. Baili and her husband totally deserve each other

How forgiving bfx is to langhua. Lmao. I find it weird how feng ju reacted that way when he saw his mother hanged. It almost seemed the entirety of the show he wanted to overthrow her and rid of her eventually. His lordship got a slap on the wrist. Feng Ju was absolutely validated on everything he said about his father. It almost felt satisfying to see this lord feel betrayed, lied to, and almost overthrowned by his favorite queen and son. As much as this arse insulted, tortured, neglected flx, this pos father should have died also. This person only covet power and grew afraid of his own sons. You can see on bfx side what a contract. Bfx family is loving and understanding almost to the point its unreal since royal families always have these schemes and plots as a trend in history. Im only human. If i was flx i would harbor grudges against my father and never accept him. Ofc id abhor any violence towards family, but i wouldn't consider baili and feng ju family. So nice seeing feng ju slapped around and glad feng chang got to help flx out.

But why does she have this lack of trust? Sure, she can be immature and childish. She didnt even want to take bitter medicine that bfx has been brewing for hours and had to be coaxed into taking it with candy. This goes to show she is merely a child. She bickers with bfx every time they see each other but when offerred make up, she is cordial again. Langhua even got the hint when they were out buying souvenirs to let bfx and hfx do their thing. So langhua can underdtsnd some things. Lets just not call her unaware just bc she is a child. She accused bfx of hiding information about her father bc she thinks bfx wants to bfx wants to be sect leader? Ok.. this langhua and bfx dynamic is all wrong and all OUT of character. Bfx is a carefree person roaming the martial world. She hates responsibility and burdens on her shoulders.. dont you think langhua is out of character to assume bfx wants the sect leader position? I mean even a real child like han pu knew bfx didnt kill her master. The writers went in a weird direction with how bad langhua actually treats bfx and the incredible amount of patience bfx has for langhua? Bfx has been nothing but a good older sister and filled with sense of justice. On this alone one should know what kind of person bfx is. I could also understand if they made langhua jealous of bfx and her masters relationship since they are so close, but even that does not warrant stabbing someone through the heart.

Okies.. i loved this drama regardless of people complaining about too much palace drama and other things.. i absolutely adired the chemistry between the two leads. Zhao lusi is definitely very talented and yang yang... OMG gorgeous! I have enjoyed this drama soooooooo much BUT my only 1 qualm about this whole thing is how ridiculous and stupid langhua is. How do you stab someone through the heart just ascertaining and purley surmising your father was murdered by the most loyal and righteous disciple? Makes 0 sense. Did langhua have some grudge or previously hate the FL? I mean, to me thats more ridiculous than FL and ML not figuring out YWY is a villain or how the ML hasnt figured out FL true identity. So weird!!!! It just makes no sense to me.. but if thats how the director feels this is how they can make a fluid story.. ok 🤷‍♀️
